He was battling cancer for about 18 mos before this, I believe. Very sad - he was one of my biggest role models in this life.

His bday was just 2 days before his passing, age 69!

i just wrote to my bbf yesterday about him (gushing over bowie is a regular thing between us).

I'm just going to note that I find it odd that David Bowie and Lemmy Kilmister both died 2 and 4 days after their birthdays, respectively (Lemmy a few weeks ago).

Both Capricorns (and around the same age, both having had health issues).

But I am wondering if Pluto was touching anything in their natal charts?

Not trying to say we can predict death or health issues exclusively with Pluto transits, but I am curious. I guess I'll look.

One of the best moments of my life was seeing him live at the Glastonbury Festival in 2000. I am such a big fan, such beautiful music and so much imagination. RIP to a real legend.

I wasn't a real fan, but I've always had so much respect for his work and his persona... always felt some sort of connection. Now I just can't stop listening to his last album, Lazarus is heartbreaking, it tears me apart. The fact that he so courageously dealt with the notion that he's going to die, put all that emotions to the songs, so dignified, strong and yet vulnerable. He's put all of himself in his art. It's just... so beautiful. I'm on the verge of tears.

Could someone please do transit chart? I bet he had some really tough transits this last year..

That yod of his tells it all, Uranus in 4th house, feeling of never quite belonging nowhere, deep seated urge to break boundaries, having nothing to loose, because he was acting only for the sake of creativity herself.
Despite his eccentricity he was extremely private.. a real 12H man. No wonder people thought he was bit of an alien, just looking at his chart.
