Lol my s.o has a thing against slangs, some certain words and ways of speaking, and general thug language. Libra sun, virgo moon/mars/venus.

I, on the other hand, love slangs, swear words, and I inherit thug vocabs from mom. I love getting on his nerves. He gets exasperated every time.

"Baby please don't say that" - he buries face in hands and laughs.

"Baby please, where on earth did you learn that word" - he pouts prettily.

etc... etc...

This morning:

"Baby, please stop referring to our children as "spawn".

Lol I love him to death.

Oh...no...I felt conflicted because I have a 6H sun and Pisces moon. I have pet peeves but usually there is a counter-dialogue in my mind, so I kinda grit my teeth about people having no care for punctuation, then I try and imagine the life circumstances that brought them there, and I stop caring. It's an inner process I go through. So it felt weird to even say I have pet peeves, when there is like a "rinse cycle" the criticism goes through, in my mind.

And it feels weird to say this too. But...it's all I've got, to explain.

Oh I love this too!!!!

I dated a Virgo sun who seemed to hate his mother because she would chew on ice every day. With her mouth open, I think?

He must've told me about it fifty times, but it was so long ago.

I'm just trying to imagine having a mother who actually did that, alienating her own children with slurping & crunching sounds.

The word *MOIST* should be banned by the way.

Even my Pisces moon agrees....

Moist.

It's like a throwback to 1950's cornball, that whole cutesie Betty Crocker mentality?

I don't know why they don't abandon it. I guess it's one of those things so embedded in culture they fear the world will fall apart if they revise it. Like McDonald's changing the color of their arches. We all know that can never happen. Same with cake, it'll always have to be moist.

Ahahahaha! I was seriously thinking the same thing. Like wtf am I supposed to call it?

I think it bothers me the most when people use it with other offensive adjectives (like scrumptious or delectable).
*head explodes*

Also, it takes too long to say "I want to bake cornbread that has a really pleasant consistency. Not too dry, but not raw in the center".

I love that first Dead Like Me episode, where Georgia gets her mother's attention after her funeral, by spelling "moist" out of the letters of the alphabet on the fridge.

You guys are all cracking me up.

Unbelievably, I was just trying to google images of henna (because I have a bunch sitting in my hair at the moment), and one of the images of tattoos had this description:

"the longer you leave the moist henna in contact with your skin the better and longer lasting your color."

What are the odds?

I guess we're going to have to invent a new adjective.

*facepalm*

My husband has no idea that this thread exists.

We were talking about the corn muffins I made this evening, and he actually just said "they're delish".

At least he means well.

Faith: nothing beats trolling the s.o haha

----

Lol this thread gives me all the golden ammunition I need for trolling.

Now I know that such words can annoy some people, I'll make sure to say it more in real life and look for reactions.

"This moissstttttttt cake is scrumptiousssss".
