Aw Violets, I love that gif. So perfect. And I'm laughing about your moist henna. How about the goodness trend? Seems like every package has fruity goodness, baked goodness, healthy goodness, green goodness. Full of goodness. Hey would you like some sugary, creamy goodness with your coffee? IP: Logged |

I'd LOVE to be there for the reactions! I don't have the guts to do it myself. I mean nobody ever says MOIST seriously. It's worse than the F word. IP: Logged |

Probably. When people say it all the time, I can't help but be annoyed because I know they're likely not laughing out loud every 2 seconds. Using it once in a while doesn't bother me though, because I know it's sincere.

Valley girl accents make me see red. There was a woman on Jeopardy (recently) who had a horrible valley girl accent. She was an attorney, highly educated...but you know, I just couldn't see past the accent. And then other times, it would disappear. It really made me wonder if she was doing it on purpose. Here's a Youtube video with clips of her accent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0K1ead2lWo IP: Logged |

Baby talk, using baby talk when talking to pets, using "sweetie" or "honey" when I've known you for all of 2 seconds, valley girl accents, mispronouncing words and not knowing it or acting like you're superior for using said word, dumbing yourself down and using simple words, slang, people who constantly call their SO "honey", "sweetheart", "love", "baby" when they're in front of other people - seriously, we get it. You're together. Shut up already. The list is long. I will return. IP: Logged |

I actually do laugh to myself quite a bit when I'm writing, but it's not really a full laugh, more like a fast exhale...like a rabbit sneezing. Though I guess Virgos don't think sneezing is exactly cute either. No wonder I could never hang onto a Virgo sun's love.... IP: Logged |

It's so funny and bizarre to me, seemed like all the food companies starting using it at once. Just like they all started using the suffix "ers" at once. Snackers Dippers Twisters Roasters Cruisers ...and all that. My husband noticed that one, and we found dozens of examples...it's dying off now. IP: Logged |

Ew. The "ers" also make everything sound terribly unappealing. Like when people say "yeppers". Make it stop. I don't think I've ever noticed it consciously, but when I think about it I probably avoid buying the product. IP: Logged |

Wait, why don't you like the noise?[/B][/QUOTE]There's a brain disorder called Misophonia (hatred of sound), according to Wikipedia "is a rarely diagnosed disorder, commonly thought to be of neurological origin, in which negative emotions (anger, fright, hatred, disgust) are triggered by specific sounds. I haven't read the article, but...aren't most sane people seriously irritated by chewing/smacking sounds (just typing it makes me recoil a bit). I don't know many people who aren't seriously irritated by noises like that. For me, noise when I'm trying to read/concentrate is equally grating. Or music that I don't like. Edit... I should probably pay attention to the gifs I pick out. IP: Logged |

Yeah but I'm wondering what caused it to make you hate the sound. Traumatic experience, certain thought, etc because I know u dislike it.. That's what negative emotions are

I don't know, in my family I'm the only one that get really mad about this, I mean, of course you can be annoyed by these sounds, but I'm not sure if most people feel the need to punch someone in the face, to throw a chair against a wall, to pull the hair of their heads, that's what I feel... ------------------ Gemini Rising. Not really, is not something that happens often, but when it happens I just take some time alone in the bathroom until I feel better. ------------------ Gemini Rising. Cancer Sun. Capricorn Moon. 6 Rx planets. IP: Logged |

Strange to me - pretty much anyone I know with Virgo placements does the pet name thing. My Virgo girls all say "Honey" "Chickie" etc.(Cap sun) Virgo moon bf calles me Bebe pretty consistently, is all about the gorgeous, beautiful, etc. - I'm almost never called just my name unless he's mad at me :-p Virgo ex was the same - called me Baby, sweetie, babydoll, and so on.
