Virgo influenced people, do you have certain words or phrases that are like fingernails on blackboards?

My Virgo stellium husband would be irate if I said tummy near him.

He loathes many words...veggies, "sides" (as in "Would you like any sides with that?"), whatever, and many others.

Also he is particular about pronunciation. To his credit his is amazing about detecting accents, and can spot our peculiar local accent even when we are far from home (I know this because he's done it in front of me before.)

Ahahahaha! I am the same way. I just...can't...let it slide...when people mispronounce words. I'm likewise mortified if I mispronounce something (or misspell a word), so I try to be careful about that.

I can also pick up on accents fairly accurately, despite not having traveled outside the US, except for Canada and Mexico.

Off the top of my head - it bugs me when people say "and yet.." YET is also a bloody conjunction. You don't need two consecutive conjunctions. Stop wasting conjunctions. There are starving kids in Africa.

I guess in all honesty, I have to say that I say "my tummy" when I'm talking to my son. I was mildly horrified and simultaneously entertained by all the words I started using after I had him, that I swore I would never use.
