Leo ASC

I think I feel it like an impetus...there is inner pressure to assume a Leo kind of presence. I can't just walk into a place and quietly sit down and mind my own business. If anyone knows me, they just come over, sit with me, and try to get the Leo out of me, and it works. It's easy to get me smiling, laughing, acting festive. My world could be falling apart but that upbeat feeling almost never goes away.

My car got hit by a Mack truck on the freeway, my car was totalled and I could have easily died, and when the EMTs arrived I was trying to make them laugh, to just dispel the tension in the air.

It wasn't a strategy, those are just my natural instincts.

I'm seriously beginning to wonder why I'm the only Pisces luminary with Leo Asc person who is not remotely upbeat...

Haven't seen this movie, but the gif is fitting, since we share the same birthday/year.

Really, you're not?

Not in person?

Online, you're often hilarious...I love your gifs

Is Pluto sextile your ASC? That could somber you up.

I'm not always upbeat...and I definitely don't always want attention...I could easily go a long time alone....but in a social context (5H), I am always sociable. It may not seem like it at first, but it's there. Maybe because I have 5H Sag Venus, too.

The whole Leo ASC/8H Pisces thing perplexes me.

8H Pisces is bound to make a person sensitive...is that like the backbone that allows a Leo ASC person to trust their social instincts? We learn to connect with others via empathy?

Faith, Damn that's gotta be disorienting, to say the least. When did that happen?

Violets, maybe it's your sun conjunct BML in the 8th? I often look like GrumpyCat and I've sun in the 8th too.

Or yeah, the Pluto sextile Asc. "Don't-mess-with-me"

^ My accident? Long ago...1999.

Strangely I was in another life-threatening accident a few years before that, where the car spun out of control and rolled over into a ditch. I wasn't driving. I wonder what transits caused that...seems like something was trying to kill me.

Wait! I forgot...

Lisa Marie Presley has an 8H Pisces moon, Leo ASC. She never looks upbeat.

Pluto isn't really sextile my Asc, unless I were to count a 6* orb.

I am humorous and talkative in person, but I usually don't care to be bothered, unless it's very light and brief, or with someone I know really well. Then I do enjoy being around people, but I'm still rather cynical.

Probably Saturn in H11.

All I have in H5 is Neptune and NN, and I will basically just straight up refuse to attend any sort of social function that I have no interest in.

But, when I'm out shopping for example, or if I happen to run into a neighbor while outside, I am really friendly and outgoing, and humorous. It's only if I sense some sort of disingenuous vibe from them that I start to become a bit curt.

I suppose Grumpy Cat mostly comes out in a humorous fashion, or at home with people I trust.

My Pluto/Mercury/Saturn configuration is a part of my Pythagorean triangle that you were talking about.

Grumpy cat

I think I'm similar. My family sees me in all the grumpy moods....I don't present a wide range of emotion to others, it's all pretty much the same. Could be, because so much of my chart aspects my ASC, and it's all air-fire.

My moon doesn't connect with my ASC and being emo in public is never a good idea. ALWAYS bad. But my moon is trine my 4H NN, so it finds expression at home.

Hmm, the way you describe interacting with people does seem to highlight your 3-4-5 triangle. Thanks for helping with my research (cuz I'm still thinking about it!)

Yeah, for example I've been annoyed, because I have a doctor appointment coming up today (and I really loathe doctor appointments), and a guy was coming to our apartment to give an estimate on moving/packing costs (home appointments with strangers are also something I'm not crazy about).

But, when the guy showed up, I did crack a joke when we introduced ourselves, and he laughed, etc. I was friendly, even though I was not in the best mood.

So I guess my H8/Pluto/Saturn stuff maybe only comes out in certain situations.

But I've never been an optimistic person at all.

Also, I don't like showing my emotions in public, either. Ever.
It's probably my earth Moon/Mars, and my Saturn placement/aspects that all combine to just say no to public scenes of any kind.

Edit.
I'll show my emotions in public (to a degree) if empathy is involved. I don't show my feelings about my own life/circumstances at all, but I'm not afraid to tear up in public(ish) over someone else's sadness.

I was wondering that as well.
I've waffled on my thoughts about BML in my chart, because so many people are quick to dismiss a conjunction with Lilith if it's more than 2 degrees.

But this is how BML shows in my chart:
(Sorry if I'm derailing my own thread, lol.)

Mean BML
2.18 Pisces, H7

"True" BML
4.33 Pisces, H8 (just past H7 cusp)

Sun
6.45 Pisces, H8

Moon
5.46 Virgo, H2

(In other news, I find it strange that my Sun and Moon degrees are the same number backwards. )

I'm ridiculous at home with jokes and completely "of the wall" antics.

Strangers get the -_-

I'm told that I look mean actually.

Never optimistic? That is such a riddle to me...But I think your chart is harder than mine, as I've said. Also I probably eat more chocolate and do more irresponsible things for a temporary "high."

Ditto. :
I make up absurd songs, sing them loudly to my husband and son, and do ridiculous Monty Python silly walk dances while I sing them.

Strangers do not get to witness such glory.

Lol.
No, I don't recall ever being optimistic, even when I was a kid. Still very much a realist, and somewhat cynical, even though my early childhood was pretty happy.

What gave it away?

Yes, I have a lot of stuff coming to the surface right now...
I'm also expecting an addition to our family in August/September, if all goes well. So I think that during these times, I tend to examine my relationship with my parents, and their families, and an internal debate arises as to whether or not I want them in my children's lives.

And there's a definite apprehension about moving back there, for many reasons.

But I really should add that my husband and I are happy to be moving back there, and as he applied for jobs in a few different places, it seems like a good thing (we tend to go where we're guided, and don't fight the path laid out for us, in that sense).

Btw, as a Gem Asc, do you have vastly different looks? As in, you know - those people who look nearly unrecognisable from one photo to the next? Or does it just make you effervescent no matter what the look?

Thank you, thank you! 😂
I don't know about my appearance (cuz I still have the blonde hair and green eyes) but my personality changes. Probably...

You could add me on FB and look at all my many photos, if you like. Ask Randall

Oh wow.! Baby on the way, congrats!!

Yes, there might be something to it. Who knows, maybe going back there is just what you need to clear this cloud over your head. Being there might be different this time around 'coz you have your hubby and kids with you.. (not sure if you've been there with them before, but you know what I mean.. )

P.S. Either way, let us know how it goes. The minute it gets frustrating, you can always come talk about it here.

P.P.S. Was just thinking about what you said, and it led to a realization. I've been fighting a path for very long, and it just struck me that I don't need to. I should do the mature thing - accept it and make the best of it. The point of mentioning this, is to say thank you. You unknowingly triggered an epiphany.

P.P.P.S Your sun and moon are not only opposed, but also have mirror image degrees! #DrJekillAndMrHyde

DS ..! That's so sweet of you. I'd really like to, believe me. And you remind me a lot of my college bestie (also a Libra sun/Sag moon) - we're still very close.

The thing is --

1. I prefer to remain anonymous here, this is one of my escape zones.
2. Am on one of my 'off the radar' spells and have deleted my fb, possibly for good this time. :/

Aw, that's really kind, Elysia. Thank you.

I'm happy to hear of your epiphany!

I know, my Sun and Moon are all whackadoodle with their degrees, and I wish I could figure out what that means!
My NN is at 5.26 Sag, which is also strangely similar, as far as numbers go...

Reminds me of the 'golden ratio' we have in math. (Phi=1.618...) You can see it everywhere in nature. Almost like nature's very own sense of proportion - everything is woven together in that golden ratio. Maybe this is your golden ratio?

I like that!
My birthday is 2/25, and it seems like they all sort of fit together somehow.
I should meditate on it someday.
