This thread is amazing! Since i started to study astrology i was always thinking about this one friend who has NOTHING in Taurus/2nd house planets in her chart and still she has a lot of Taurus traits. A few weeks ago i thought about this hybrid "possibility" (i haven't read your thread until now), and it made complete sense in my head. She has A LOT of Saturnian energy combined with her Sun and Venus conjunct in Libra, also her chart ruler is in an earth house (6th). This Venusian/earth influence makes for Taurus energy, this is so cool. As for me, years before i started to study astrology (i knew the basic traits for every sign), i always thought i had something in Gemini and Scorpio strong in my chart(i don't have these placements). I have Sun (parallel Mercury) in the 6th house combined with a lot of air, that makes for the Gemini part. As for Scorpio, even though i have no water placements, the water planets are very active in my chart and i'm very emotional, sensitive and secretive. I guess that having an afflicted Moon (negatively aspecting Venus, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) can emphasize it badly, like having a Scorpio Moon. For example, think about someone who has an afflicted Sun, my ex boyfriend had it and he was the most Aquarian type of person i ever met (i must add that the Sun isn't comfortable in Aqua, he used to act the bad traits of this sign), that's for someone who has only 2 outer planets in Aquarius, no 11th house placements and not a strong Uranus. This probably only makes sense to me, but try to pay attention to afflicted planets and see if they don't express it's energy like... a Venus afflicted would act more like Aries/Virgo/Scorpio (considered "bad" placements for Venus) in love. This isn't an impossible theory, i'll study more charts tho. But whatever, i'm all the signs, why pick one when i can have 12 of them jkIP: Logged |

My Venus has issues and I have traits in love compatible with the signs you mention" a Venus afflicted would act more like Aries/Virgo/Scorpio (considered "bad" placements for Venus) in love. " First impulsive and hotheaded (Aries), picky and irritated by flaws in the other (Virgo) and I detect lies and BS from a mile away although I overreact sometimes (Scorpio paranoia) So this is also interesting. My poor Venus. I know I'm not an easy person to deal with LOOL IP: Logged |

@LittleBlackCat:OK I admit I am being lazy. I am recycling my response from this thread: "Scorpio sun/Pisces moon..intuition, psychic, sexuality." link here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/235646.html Whatever the case it is relevant here. Here are my previous words: I do have Scorpio planets and a Pisces planet. For me, though it's trine & appears friendly. This combo has the potential to be too much sometimes. Though similar due to their emotional basic nature Pisces and Scorpio are wayyyy different and sometimes these planets together act like oppositions. Pisces is uber sensitive, impressionable, naive, trusting, kind and flighty. Scorpio (though uber sensitive and probably more sensitive than Pisces) is controlling, powerful, mistrustful, intense, and loyal. Scorpio will view this Pisces sensitivity as a virus and attack it. Push it down. I view both of these energies as strong. There is an unconscious power struggle. Pisces doesn't actually want power just love, peace, and the need to escape. While Scorpio needs the power and is often annoyed at Pisces. With this guy his Scorpio sun may bully his Pisces moon. While the Pisces moon may undermine the Scorpio sun. By the way this unintentional because they are friends (Scorpio & Pisces). As supportive as friends can be they can also enable each other. I am saying all this because I recognize this in myself. I would say the pluses is that Pisces takes some of that edge off of Scorpio and allows Scorpio to relax a little, be a bit more trusting, understanding, less stubborn, and forgiving. While Scorpio protects Pisces, make sure they are on the right track and are not being used or taken advantage off. Plus these are the ultimate sleuths on stealth mode combo. This combo can SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU, WHILE BEING COMPLETELY INVISIBLE. ------------------

I mentioned my brother b/c in him I can see perfectly how the energies work together and how his Pisces energy is what makes his Scorpio energy so dangerous / strong. For example he and I both have the same Asc (Scorp) with Pluto in the same house (12), but him being a Pisces Sun makes him WAAAY more intuitive / psychic than I am. He is one of those ppl that you literally cannot hide from nor lie to (it's actually pretty creepy) and I know Pisces is the one giving that added ability. Yes he is more emotional / sensitive than me, but the capacity for manipulation, extreme focus, and deliberate action are unparalleled if desired. A cancer moon and Pisces Venus only make his intuitive water abilities that much stronger. Thankfully he has a rather benevolent spirit.
Damn your brother is SUPER WATERY. I kinda feel sorry for him. I got 3 water planets and I feel like I am DROWNING. He has a grand trine right? His water planets are all trine so they are like the best of friends. Hopefully he stays benevolent ..... I am sure it'll be scary for him (PLUS HE'LL BE UBER SCARY!!!!) to go to the dark side. lol so your intuition was right the whole time I noticed similar things to what you described regarding the people I knew and it is also what promoted me to study this. Especially with myself since I am so different than what my chart energies are expected to create at first glance. I actually made a part 2 of this thread utilizing a more structured method here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/235846.html Nice outlook on the original element of a planet influencing a chart despite the element of w/e sign it is in (like your active water planets). This is why I love these discussions b/c people are always introducing me to new ways of looking at things. I am also going to look more into afflicted placements b/c you are connecting many dots.
