Yeah they don't try as hard to please. It's a mutable sign anyway. It's more of an absence of resistance than an active trying-to-please (all the cardinals actively try to do things or "bend" situations ).
The shadow side of Pisces is not that they try too hard to please, but that they play the victim - without reason - and try to guilt-trip everyone. They will *pretend* to go along with what you say. But yes, they will resent you a hell of a lot more for it all. Even if it's things they don't really object to.. Whereas a Libra will sulk and/or pick a fight with you or something like that. The Pisces will just go along with it, make no effort too fix anything or address any problem. Everything is the other person's fault. Poor Pisces was just going with it. Or were they? Shadow Pisces can *think* they're being pretty flexible, but they're not, really. If you're going to resent the choice of dip for your chips, well..okay. Even if you've asked them ten times, what dip do you want? And they say, whatever you want. The tenth time, you finally pick one and - hey presto, next time you hear "we're always doing things your way". Hmmmm. Okaaay.

For instance, Libra will genuinely listen to the music you enjoy because - *gasp* - they see real value in your opinion. They'll try to find something good about it too. Pisces will pretend to enjoy the music you do and then b***h about how you made them listen to your favourite song in the car for three whole minutes, to their best friend.

The thing with this aspect is just... I wouldn't necessarily detect a libra ascendant being fake, unless if I knew they are libra ascendants :S The moment I came to know about this placement everything made sense

This is true. The only Libra Ascendant I've met that wasn't fact had Moon on the Ascendant and had a Scorpio Stellium to boot.

As a Venus in Pisces I don't cosign this at all. My personal experience with Venus in Pisces is that we are just open-minded, accepting & accommodating. We know right from wrong, we are not infantile (perhaps a bit naive) and we don't owe anyone any explanations. Venus in Pisces has an identity but we are adaptable and mutable (obviously). Remember what Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, has said quote: "change is the only constant in life."

I think astrologers also need to resolve their conflicting opinions about Libras. We cannot complain that:

a) They never fully take your side, they are always pointing out other ways of looking at an issue, and burdening you with speeches about "on the other hand..." AND

b) They are people pleasing and will say whatever it takes to make you happy.

-to divert yourself from your true nature in order to please someone else.
-accommodation to trends,groups of people,ideas that are in contradiction with your core.
-Not having a core at all,meaning a set of fixed principles,morals,way of thinking and standards that you always follow and you would never change no matter what.

Genuine: To be strong and not bend like a leaf in the wind in front of people who try hard to push their system over your system and if you fail to be a follower you are immediately called "closed minded" ,rigid and wrong.
