it ends up leeloo was not countering any death threats but envisioning that if others allow death threats then she is just imagining her own threats allowed. once she thought threats were allowed she threatened someone "you can't hide behind your computer for long" or whatever she said. envisioning her own feelings and thinking others were the same. Aw shucks. I really appreciate the votes guys!Only problem is that I'm not sure I have the time to moderate Astro 2.0. as efficiently as it needs, it is REALLY busy. I didn't even see anything had happened until today, when it was all over. Aside from that, my astrological knowledge isn't substantial enough for that forum. I am happy to check into Astro 2.0. though, and while I can't lock any threads, I can try and help when any issues arise. IP: Logged |

Are we allowed to vote to have someone's Moderating abilities taken away? You need someone of sound mind and strength to do that job well (clearly) and Ami Anne does NOT fit that bill. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she started that thread yesterday (under the guise of "learning") and let it quickly spiral out of control before coming back to provoke it further. Anyone who believes her smiley-faced attempts to be the justice crusader is naive. All I see are passive-aggressive digs. It's a poor reflection on this forum to allow her to continue to hold this responsibility in my opinion. And for the record, I read the entire thread involving VenusinCap and he was completely in the wrong. He started a thread surrounding an extremely controversial subject and when the others challenged him on his ideals he became extremely aggressive. Everyone on this forum is entitled to their own opinion. He didn't have rousing support for his extremist views and he didn't seem to like that. Someone who watched and did nothing when things should be done isn't fit to be a mod. Also if they avoid the arguments because they don't like conflicts, they won't last long being mod of astro 2.0 these days. IP: Logged |

My first choice would have been Voix.I suggest adding two moderators, one for short-term and one for long-term.
For short-term I think someone who is experienced should moderate just to sort out the mess when it rears its head again, PixieJane or juniperb if they have the time.
For long-term and for providing astrological input, Aries23 or Electro.
I think Elysia would be a good choice too, but I'd let things cool down first. IP: Logged |
