Is Mars usually what women are attracted to in their chart and Venus for men? Even if these signs are not compatible with the rest of their chart?

I have a Leo stellium (ASC, Sun, Moon, Venus) with Mars in Taurus and Mercury in Virgo and always find myself attracted to earth types and sometimes even water. But then can end up not compatible because of the Leo. I definitely seem more drawn to my Mars as opposed to Sun/Moon. Is this the case for anyone else?

Men are attracted to their Mars as well not just their Venus. As a woman I like both my Mars and Venus.

i tend to have a thing for people with scorpio heavy charts sometimes pisces placements and aquarian heavy people too

i have a water void and nothing in aquarius

venus in libra don't go for libras (but it might be that my venus is conjunct my ascendant), mars in cap i've hooked up with 2 (1 chick and 1 guy) but i'm not into them generally and both just made the first move

i've been in a ltr with a sag sun (conjunct uranus and saturn), aquarius ascendant, aries moon, scorpio mercury and venus (conjunct pluto) pisces mars (conjunct jupiter) for 14 years so far

i dont think it necessarily says much about attraction

I'm a female

I'm more attracted to guys with my venus sign (aries stellium) and the opposite sign of my venus, libra.

My mars is gemini but its conjunct moon-chiron and opposite saturn and uranus.

I'm more attracted to the capri-saturn energy then my gemini energy. Although I love communication and being able to share new ideas and talk that flows naturally from one subject to an other etc. Depending on my mood. But an other "gemini" is too much, if its not a saturnian-plutonic gemini person.
I then prefer a trine to my gemini mars from for ex venus in libra guys. They like to be social, "listen" and learn new things.

(Generally speaking about the energies).

The consensus is that the BIG three are most prominent in relationships - Asc, Sun, & Moon.

Moon Conjunct Sun
Moon Opposite Sun
Moon conjunct Ascendant

I need more clarification on this. Who are we in this example?

A Sun Leo who is attracted to Mars in Taurus guys? Or a Leo who is attracted to men with Sun in Taurus?

My own understanding is that a Sun in Leo will be attracted to Mars in Leo. Also, a Sun in Leo will be attracted to Venus in Leo. This is my understanding of men are attracted to their Venus, and women to their Mars. Being the corresponding Venus & Mars signs of their Sun sign.

Most heterosexual guys will struggle with a girl's Mars conjunct his Sun. As Mars is naturally combative. One of two scenarios usually develops - domestic violence, or he submits to her and she loses respect for him.

My Mars conjuncts this guys Venus and parallels his Sun and I would never be violent towards him or lose respect for him. So that's just a cookbook thing. It's not the case with everyone. I like him too much to ever be violent towards him. His Saturn aspects my Moon, Mars and Mercury so that could be why. His Saturn influences me I can already feel it.

I guess I am just trying to understand my attraction to earthy or watery types when really it seems to be incompatible in the end. I have never been attracted to Leo types or really with any Leo in a persons chart for that matter. Always consider them as friends but not romantic. I wonder if the square energy of my Leo sun/ moon to my Taurus mars creates conflict for my attractions as well. Like these aspects are not harmonious in my chart as well as the people I am attracted to are not compatible to me? If that makes sense.

I’ve heard that Mars in a woman’s chart is what man type they are attracted to and Venus in a mans chart is who they are attracted to woman wise - stereotypically. Knowing there are obvious other factors that come into play and it is not as cut and dry as that but for me it almost seems that way. Or it could be I have so much fire, I like someone with little to no fire? Not sure.

Well I have Mars in Gemini so what kind of man should I be attracted to? Does that mean I should automatically be attracted to Gemini men? Or Men who have Venus in Gemini? Because honestly a Gemini man would not be one I would want to have a serious romantic relationship with.

it isn't as simple as women like their mars sign and men like their venus sign (i'm bi and not a fan of either)

sometimes people like what they lack (i go for water placements frequently and lack water, my fiancee likes earth and she lacks earth) or the house overlays matter more

sextiles and trines to those planets can be nice, sometimes people enjoy the friction squares and oppositions can cause too and those can add to attraction

attraction isn't that cut and dry

edit: also consider that aspects in your natal too those planets will affect attraction as well

Exactly I don't know why people always assume it's like this.

a lot of introductory simplistic astrology tends to imply it, and unless someone digs deeper they might be inclined to believe it at first glance

it's admittedly at least better than people basing everything on sun sign, but it doesn't really work

on a lot of levels venus and mars in a person's chart are really more about them than other people and are just helpful when it comes to attraction (moon matters a lot too with relationships though) but usually more complimentary than exactly the same

it's also just generally accepted that women express their venus sign more easily and men express their mars more easily, but even that is subject to change depending on the strength of planets in chart and houses

my venus is right on my ascendant it's more part of my expression than what i'm into for example

I said myself it is not that cut and dry. And know that. But maybe seems to apply for me atleast or could be an opposite attract type of thing. What I am lacking.

yeah definitely, sometimes people being too much like you can be boring or just sort of feels like something is lacking there's no balance

that does nothing for me personally i want someone who balances me who has things i don't with some common points

or you could just like the conflict, some people depending on the environment they grew up in go for that sort of thing because something more peaceful doesn't feel like love or gets boring etc and so on

and then there's house overlays too like i said which signs rule your 5th and 7th? what house is your 8th you get the jist

And you also have to take into consideration the aspects to the person's Venus or Mars. I'm not like the standard Venus in Pisces. I relate more to the Uranus energy that influences my Venus. I'm attracted to Aquarian and Uranian types with a little Pluto for intensity. I like men who's Mars is aspected by their Pluto too.

same actually i have a venus-uranus sextile and i can be drawn to aquarian types (it's my 5th house and eros too though) or heavy uranus

i'm not sure what my thing with scorpios and pluto is though

i have a first house pluto in placidus and sun sextile pluto but usually neither of those is indicative of particularly strong attraction my only guess is that scorpio placements can sextile my mars and i seem to like that based on my fiancee

I actually think it is cut and dry, just that astrologers make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Everyone is the product of the fusion between male & female. Thus in relationships we seek to recreate that part of us that is repressed (male or female).

Is English your first language? It has happened before where you misread messages and go off in a different direction.

Mars parallel Sun is not the same as Sun conjunct Mars. Neither is Venus conjunct Mars the same as Sun conjunct Mars.

You'll be most sexually attracted to Sun in Gemini guys.

However, as the Moon is the store of your feminine, you'll end up with the guy whose Sun or Ascendant makes a conjunction your lunar placement.

I know Sun conjunct Mars isn't the same as Venus conjunct Mars obviously... And Sun parallel Mars is similar to Sun conjunct Mars. I mentioned Venus conjunct Mars because people say the same thing about a woman's Mars being conjunct a guys Venus.

I disagree.

However, you are not currently in a relationship where the woman's Mars is conjunct the guy's Sun. So you are not really in a position to offer your experience on the aspect.

i don't care for libra or cap energy generally and it isn't what i go for so it doesnt seem to work that way for me

edit: unless you mean i'd seek what i'd lack in which case that's true

Actually I am in the position to offer my experience. As I've had this aspect with someone before in the past. I didn't know you knew about every relationship I've been in I mean really? Lol
