"Welcome to adulting"

"Put on your big girls pants and figure it out"

"Use your big girl words"

"Man are a luxury, not a necessity"

Word a Capricorn came up with: adulting

Things Capricorns want out of a relationship: someone to build a life with.

I actually hate this line of thinking, but I won't go into that here.

hahahahaha

I loved your Saggi ones! Can relate! Sag is my strongest sign...

and your LEO one made me laugh but I call BS for that one! As a venus conjunct mars in Leo girl I don't wake up looking glorious, I have to put on makeup and do my hair etc and then I feel like wow maybe I am a hottie LOL. Leo likes to dramatize, enhance, accentuate etc I feel, they enjoy make up and since my venus conjunct mars in leo fall in the 8H this reinforces this I feel, I love eye make up and using it to make my eyes pop more.

"I feel like you are not being honest with me" -Any water Mercury or Neptune/Moon in aspect with Mercury.Moon/Neptune in 3rd house.

I have moon in pisces in the 3H opposite mercury and I can't relate, I tend to be very honest and upfront so tend to attract people that are also this way unless they have moon in scorpio bc they keep a lot of secrets and tend to be private and in this case I know they are like this and is not my cup of tea but I can be like this too with moon ruling the 8H so I can understand them up to a point but I am not one of those people that always thinks people are hiding or lying to her and if I sense someone is keeping something from me I understand some people are private and don't feel we have that kind of bond yet to go there.

"See it from the other person's point of view"- Anything Libra or in the 7th-especially Asc in Lib, Sun/ Moon/ Mer/Ven or Mars

This is soo pisces in my opinion, I am very much like this.

"{insert serious statement here}.Lol..Just kidding"-Anything Sag or 9th -Asc,Sun,Merc,Moon,Ven,Mars

Soooooooo true hahaha.....we like to joke period although there are some serious saggies too out there which is weird...

"My mom says...."-Anything Cancer-Asc in Can,Sun, Moon,Merc,Ven,Mars[/B]
perhaps if the person has multiple cancer placements this can play out like that maybe..

I disagree I admire this type of thinking a lot bc is a very resilient type of mindset that focuses the locus of control around the self, it puts the focus on you, what you can do about the situation and solutions instead of focusing on the problem and what you cannot do about the situation which leads to feelings of helplessness, depression and low self worth.

In personality psychology, locus of control is the degree to which people believe that they have control over the outcome of events in their lives, as opposed to external forces beyond their control.

The reality for most people is that you have to work for everything you have, this is life and with it comes a sense of accomplishment and pride bc you earned everything you have.

Try harder next time is solution focused and makes you feel that if you work harder you will get the results you seek and be rewarded and this is usually true and empowering bc you have control over the outcome with this type of thinking which results in a healthier self worth and feeling happier.

Suck it up, buttercup sounds mean and there is a better way to express the message behind this but in life you can't wallow in self-pity forever or you will be miserable, you have to pick yourself up and look at life from a different perspective or you will never be happy. Sometimes you have to stop complaining and put on your big girl pants and figure it out, this is what is at the heart of this message even though it sounds mean.

Except that type of thinking doesn't work for everyone. I can put on my "big girl pants" without anyone being rude enough to tell me that they know exactly what I can do, or handle.

The verbage is not going to work everyone but you can find a kind compassionate way of getting that same message across in a way that sounds validating to the pain the other is experiencing.

And tears don't equal manipulation. My Cappy sister used to do this to me, when she actually manipulated people. So maybe she was projecting.

I usually love Cappies, I don't hate on signs, but this attitude kills me.

Not some of us, EVERYONE needs to figure things out in their own time, it has taking me multiple decades to figure some things out about what works for me and this can be quite a long process the process of personal growth and figuring life out ect....this doesn't mean those messages don't have truth and value to them and that we can learn from them IMO.

I have heard this from multiple sun in cancer women, they hate passive aggressive tendencies even more than the average person and are big on people been authentic about their feelings and communicating those feelings ect..its like a big pet peeve for them so I feel is a combo of your sun and your moon.

You comfort with the style of your moon. The need for authentic relating is the sun in cancer but the solution focused approach to comforting others is moon in cappy. That is my opinion.

I get it and I now also "got it" that Sun/Moon oppositions can be really difficult to get a grasp on; for me personally and people trying to understand me.

I mean, I actually think that I THINK feelings and FEEL thoughts, if that makes sense? :-/

Thanks for expounding on it, Hypatia. I tend to agree with the resilient mindset as well. I don't know what helps other people, but for myself, it has helped me move past a lot of negative, hurtful things/people and not dwell in the past, which none of us have control over. We can only control ourselves, in the present, and how we spend that time.

@teasel

I wasn't trying to upset you? "Suck it up buttercup" was meant in a very dry, sarcastic manner, which is very fitting for Capricorn anything IMO. I have 3 planets in Capricorn and my ASC is also there. I was just trying to be funny. Sometimes my humor is a little too dry, though.

The other sayings have been mantras for me, especially in my adult life. I also have PTSD from an assault when I was 19 and other trauma. I've lived with depression for most of my life. I also didn't exactly grow up rich, so you literally have to work for what you want. I'm able to find peace by realizing that I have control over how I feel and deal with things, instead of placing control in the hands of the people who have hurt me or circumstances that have brought me down. If I didn't say/think those things on a daily basis, I probably wouldn't leave my house. I have to force myself to interact, to experience things, to socialize. So they're not meant to be hurtful or to make you feel any shame, or anyone else for that matter. I don't remember saying that they were... They're just what I say to myself and what I associate with my Saturn and Capricorn-heavy parts of my chart. They're part of my resilience, though they may not be for everyone else. We're all unique that way.
