It looks like Miami is a sure bet...not sure if I’ll fit in, being I’m a midwestern gal. But I’m willing to give it a try.

So is that a definite I could find love in Miami? That’s the least likeliest place is suspect to find love..?

You rock!

Here's an extract from the Relocation Report for Miami, Florida (produced by the Sirius 3 program's "Horizons" module) :-

RELOCATION INTERPRETATION for
bella_taurus
at Miami, FL
080W11'38", 25N46'26"

ANGLES IN SIGNS

Ascendant in Pisces
You can sense the shifting winds here, and you'll be the first to know when the tide is
about to change. That can make you seem less than aggressive, but you'll also be one
step ahead of the situation so you can slip yourself in before anyone else knows to
make a move. It's all about sensitivity, so don't take it too personally.

Midheaven in Sagittarius
You can be an open book here, and people will believe it. In fact, they'll believe it,
anyway, so you can overstep your bounds and it won't be immediately noticed.
Ultimately, however, you'll have to call the shots accurately (but you don't have to get
specific), and you'll be seen to have a window on the future.

PLANETS ON ANGLES

Any planet on one of the angles (Ascendant, MC, Descendant, IC) of your relocation
chart will be greatly strengthened when you are at the place of relocation, very much
like if it were on the angles of your natal chart. If the Sun is on an angle, you'll have
more confidence; if Mars is there you'll have more energy, and so on. Moreover, you
don't have to actually go there to get the effect. Having a planet on a relocated angle
will accentuate that place for you even if you are only doing business with people there
over the phone. You have an accentuated quality to people in such places that you
may not have elsewhere.

Natal Sun Ssq IC (Strong)
What they say about you here may not accurately reflect the person you really are
inside, so some extra steps to get out the PR would probably be a good idea. If they
don't get the message the first time, do a follow-up until the real you is what's being
represented to the general public. Speak up for yourself, then do it again.

Sun in Second House
Your inclination here is to go for a piece of the pie. Invest, but spend cautiously, and
make sure you claim something tangible for yourself. It's good for doing business,
making money, and putting down roots you can put a price tag on. You'll want to get
your hands on it, not just flirt with the situation.

Natal Moon/Sun On MC (Strong)
This is a good place to get your central, soul message across. What you experience
here will have a resounding effect on what people say about you, and you can bring
your inner self out into the open here if you choose to. Similarly, people trying to reach
you will likely have better access and find you out.

Natal Venus On IC (Strong)
If you're not sure what you want -- in love or in life -- a trip here should bring you some
tangible clues. It has a palpable tinge of desire -- yours -- and when you're here you're
likely to get your needs attended to as a part of the general situation, even if you don't
advertise. What you like just seems to spring from the ground, which is likely to make
the physical territory itself appealing. Note what pleases you in your surroundings here
and be sure to bring a piece of it back home with you. Or, you may want to just remain
here and have your needs attended to. For these very reasons, however, this may not
be the most motivating place to be, as it is easier to sit and let things come to you than
to get up and hustle. It may be quite sufficient just to be the center of gravity and catch
what falls into your net, a situation that may not last forever but could offer more than
one would reasonably expect. Above all, however, it puts you in touch with your real
needs and allows you feel to comfortable having them satisfied without making a
hassle of it.

Venus in Third House
The art of conversation will get you everywhere here, even if you don't technically
speak the language. It's all about communicating your desires and desirability by
whatever method seems to work. Try several. Friends that please will gather around --
then it's up to you to find out who's just an acquaintance.

Natal Sun Sqq DS (Medium)
There may be some conflict between the way you really are inside and the first
impression people get upon meeting you here. First meetings don't tell the tale, so
you'll have to follow-up until they've got it straight whom they're really talking to. Don't
expect the first date to get the results you ultimately want, so have the second already
lined up.

Natal Moon Ssq DS (Medium)
Getting your feelings across here may be a challenge, and you may have to repeat
yourself more than once to achieve it. It may be partly about relating to the local culture,
partly that you are challenged to put things into words you had taken for granted before
in your previous situation.

Moon in Fifth House
You could feel like you're in playland here -- at least, the juices of love and creativity will
definitely start to flow if you give them half a chance. A great place to visit, and maybe
to stay for a while, especially if you're in any form of the arts. Your kids will love it, too,
and you'll feel a bit like a kid yourself.

Natal Saturn Sqr MC (Medium)
Watch what people are saying about you around here, as it may not be as
complimentary as you deserve and it may also not be true. A little time fine-tuning your
spin cycle and getting doubters on board won't be wasted and may have to be repeated
before you have them counting on you the way they should.

Saturn in Seventh House
This can be a good place to go to get away from people and too much personal
involvement. Pick one good relationship and go with that, or simply go spare for a while.
It's probably not the place to go to meet and become involved with lots of new people.
Find them elsewhere, bring one here, see how things distill.

Natal Pluto Sxt MC (Medium)
Your reputation is protected here in ways it probably shouldn't be, so you can get away
with more than you ought without suffering the criticism others might. It's simply that
you appear to have more power and support than you know you actually do, but if you
play along with the part, it actually becomes real.

Pluto in Eighth House
You may have the feeling you have come here to recover something you've lost,
perhaps emotionally, perhaps physically. Finding it can be an issue, and it's important
to avoid making a stand over things that may in fact not be yours at all. If you want
something, figure out a way for someone to give it to you, don't just take it.

Natal Moon Sxt DS (Mild)
Feelings find outlet more effortlessly here -- not necessarily by a direct route, but
sometimes by an open door that invites you to walk through. You're more naturally at
ease with the way you relate to the environment, so the rest flows along without having
to think about it or analyze your emotions.

Natal Jupiter On DS (Mild)
If you want a new beginning and to keep on making new beginnings, this is the place to
start. There is an air of ambition that will infuse you and set you to all kinds of
approaches you hadn't tried and directions you hadn't explored. Seeds planted here
germinate overnight and flower well ahead of time for an early harvest. It's all about
growth -- the kind provided by the resources here and the kind you bring to the mix to
make it all fatten up and blossom. But the success is in the mix, not in simply clear-
cutting the landscape. If you seem to move too fast for the locals, you're going to have
your ambitions turned against you, so you have to be inclusive in how you handle
yourself. Especially on first arrival, remember that you must provide help before you
can lead, establish a track record before you can be believable. It's all about growth,
and good husbandry requires good nourishment as well as good seed. Abundance is
here for the asking but will only be sustained when it's yours to give as well. Positive
thoughts will be the first to mind, but realistic ambitions and follow-through will make
the dream come true here.

Jupiter in Sixth House
There may not be enough hours in the day for you to fit in all you need here, as you're
likely to be adding first one thing and then another to your schedule. If you want to get it
all done, be ready to get help by sharing your productivity, making your ideas a win-win
for everybody involved. It may take a village to do what you'll be proposing....

Natal Neptune On MC (Mild)
This place is where other people dream you ought to be -- and when you're there, you'll
be seen through rose-colored glasses (or, contrarily, through a glass darkly).
Envisioned as somewhere between Bali Hi and Shangri-la, you will have to get down to
daily life here while sustaining a vision or image of what you are doing that may be
quite different or entirely concocted. You might as well roll with that, because hearsay
will have you doing things you didn't anyway, so go ahead and paint the illusion you
want. In that light, this is also a great place for putting out your ideal vision of the world
and making your fantasies heard, as you'll find that if you do you'll attract all sorts of
help in making them all come true. Better even than a field of dreams, you don't even
have to build it -- just imagine it, and they will come. If you're in any field where creative
vision is central, such as the arts, you may find this to be a perfect headquarters from
which to fashion and broadcast your message and creations. Just remember, when the
dream world looms large, to touch ground so you remain the controlling director of your
life script.

Neptune in Tenth House
You may spend some time and effort straightening out what people say about you, as
what you do is a bit of a mystery by nature in this clime. That's not your fault, and you
can use it to your advantage. Just be aware that the buzz, for better or worse, is
inaccurate (though perhaps flattering) and thus subject to change.

Natal Sun Tri DS (Mild)
You don't have to strain to throw your weight around here -- just let it flow from the
heart and you'll seem like you've got it all going for you. What you look like supports
who you really are inside, so all you have to do is be yourself and everything will fall
into place. Play it like you like it.

Natal Venus Sqr DS (Mild)
Getting what you want around here may take more than one try, and that's not because
no one wants to please. It's just that it's sometimes unclear to others what you want or
what image you are trying to project to get it. A mirror is your best friend, and let your
friends be your mirror until you get it right.

Natal Neptune Sqr AS (Mild)
Mistaken identity can be a recurring problem here -- whether it's someone else
mistaking you for another or you finding it difficult to see yourself as others see you. In
the process, you may have to do a little song and dance to clarify things. The
opportunity to deceive is great, but the long-term chances of getting away with it aren't.

Natal Mercury Sxt IC (Mild)
Anything you say can and will be used for you around here, and what you say
immediately goes up the masthead like a flag. Not everyone may salute, but there will
be no mistaking it for another's banner. Career situations have the benefit of pre-
established understanding, allowing you to get down to brass tacks more quickly.

Mercury in First House
This is an environment you can analyze, put into words, and communicate with. Even if
you don't speak the same language, you understand the lingo. You don't need to be too
specific, just get your point across with the essentials and fill in the rest later. It's not
what you say, it's what you mean that matters.

Depending on how long you would plan to stay, and what you could afford?, you might want to research about climate-change and that city.

Would also be wise to become proficient in speaking spanish and being comfortable in that culture and versed in their history.

From Minn,MN to Miami could be a culture-shock?

@bella, I agree with what @mirage is getting at

I’ve been to all three cities, stayed longterm in Miami and Dallas. and picking up on your energy, Nashville or Houston felt more like a place to foster individuality and plant roots. Granted I know nothing about your background or what’s drawing you there. Miami has a lot of party/status/materialism going for it, because it is a holiday destination for the entire world contrasted with retirement communities. If that’s your thing—catering to an upper class—go for it, if not it will get old pretty quick going around in circles, and with the prominently successful immigrant population working internationally from there, you might feel a bit ostracized selling yourself to an established, somewhat inclusive culture. My Cuban girlfriend was born and raised there, tried to go back a couple times over the years after university to give it a chance... she’s since moved to Portland. When I was in Miami, talking to the locals, most everyone in my age group (late 20s-early 30s) was wishing to leave, getting sick (mentally, spiritually) from the Hustle. Hustle this hustle that. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Also, the city, like most holiday destinations, has what they call their yearly “off-season”, when tourists aren’t around and city-wide money tap stops flowing—like mirage said, you’re maybe not used to this logic coming from Minnesota. There is a noticeable divide between the people actually from there with their families (whether diaspora Latinx, Afro/Caribbean, Orthodox Jewish), and people who’ve moved there in adulthood for whatever reason (most likely for business or retirement) doing the highrise condo thing... literal parts of town segregated, but all of this is happening in a suburban landscape—odd. sadly, the divide is obvious ultimately because of class politics with the local government and what’s done with its public funds, and there’s resentment about gentrification, putting the newer generation at odds with supposed financial opportunity (kind of a facade considering investors) vs displacement of culture. Socially, is kind of a mess. (I hope I haven’t offended anyone with my profile of your city.) Mirage gracefully summed it up in her fewer words about needing the Spanish language to live there.

Texas is pretty freaking cool, even anyone I’ve spoken with, from Montreal to Mexico City to Berlin, thinks so, especially those in early 40s—kind of took me by surprise. Wave of Californians (and mid-Westerners) have transplanted there over the years, Great place for entrepreneurs AND single working women. It’s almost impossible to fail there because there’s just so much opportunity (and real estate) for every field—impressed me. My mom’s single and 51, she moved to Dallas two years ago and is loving it, shortly after moving switched her industry entirely almost at the drop of a hat, and then more recently bought her first home—proud of her, she was struggling in other states, being held back not for lack of trying (Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina) for the past decade. In a way, with all it’s internationalism, professionalism and design-centricness, it reminded me of Miami’s progressive modern glam, but with a genuine or available economic and social faith.

Years and years back, when I was 20 mind-you and driving across country to California for school, I couchsurfed at the townhouse of a photojournalist in Austin—I loved his social group and the city so much I ended up extending my initial stay of one night to a week! We were going to bbq’s literally in the river (because in some parts is shallow water, just set up a lounge chair) and then to saloons/music scene at night. There was a woman from Australia also couchsurfing with this guy, who did the same, she ended up canceling her flight and staying two months at his place while he traveled for work on and off. Really, the friendliest people.

pls don’t quote

These warnings by mirage and vansio illustrate Travelman's earlier observation about the limitations of relocation astrology.

Even if London (UK) was the ideal City for a chart owner to relocate to, it would not have been wise to move there during World War II.

Hello Mirage and Graham!

My apologies if i couldn’t get back to you sooner, yesterday was quite busy for me.

I appreciate your feedback! I’m in the beginning stages of planning my move, so I’m just figuring it out.

Miami would seem a bit of a culture shock for me considering I’ll be a midwestern gal moving to a hyper-metropolitan city like Miami. It seems like it’d be more of a vacation spot for me versus a place to call home.

I’m looking at a place with high romance, creativity, and family potential. Somewhere in Texas seems to be my focal point. Maybe it could be a bit more like Minneapolis, but more rich in culture perhaps?

Hello Graham,

It looks like Nashville might be a better fit for me culturally and spiritually. I’m going to request a tourist packet and go from there, Miami seems like it could be a fun place to maybe visit? Not to call home perhaps. I’m into the bohemian lifestyle, so they might see me as some new age weirdo lol 😂. Should I do one for Dallas? Or would that be same out come?

Thank you!

I honestly cannot make a home here in Minneapolis, and I’m okay with that. It’s time to move on and make a better life for myself. I’ll miss my family terribly, but I know how to hop on a plane and visit them when I need to.

Hi, would it be possible for you to do the relocation scores for both my previous city, Bogota, Colombia and my current city, Belgrade, Serbia. Actually, in Colombia, I was in a small town about 10km from Bogota, but I reckon it is not much of a difference plus I did live in Bogota for 2 of the 3.5 years and a lot of major things happened there. Maybe Washington DC if it is not too much?

I would be interested to see how these 3 cities compare as they have all had major impacts on me!

Thanks.

Just let me know if you can and if so, what info is required.

Bella .. Did you notice the tiny square empty box for show details in the ClickTravel at the top of descriptions?

If you click the "show details" it can tell you the other lines going through the area, with lots of descriptions.

In fact, you can make yourself go batty over deciding where to go 'based' on lines!

It's good to get feedback from folks here at LL who have real-time knowledge of the various places, and the social conditions there at this time.

Do your non-astrological research about the areas involved.

And use your Intuition

(I'm excited for you!!)

@bella if you’re looking for a cities known to have “spiritually minded folk” as it’s local culture, especially in look/aesthetic/way of life, you might consider Portland OR or Boulder CO too. And also my surprise, Texas was proudly into new age culture then it dawned on me, of course, obviously protected by the american constitution. http://csldallas.org/ http://siddhayatan.org/ According to the net, Austin TX “The city has more hippie-themed Meetups.com events and health food stores than any city in the country” heck, Whole Foods Market was invented and is headquarters there lol

Boulder, CO
Asheville, NC
Portland, OR
Austin, TX

Then of course, there’s the “high-vibe” retiring desert towns like Sedona, Arizona and Sante Fe, New Mexico...

At the very least, enjoy your all your potential future travels. No rush to move with your whole life in tow just yet.

A safe bet on intuiting potential is by comparing population sizes to Minneapolis.

Minneapolis - 425k
Boulder - 100k
Nashville - 650k
Asheville - 90k
Austin - 960k
Portland - 650k
Dallas - 1.3 mil
Sedona - 10k
Houston - 2.4 mil
Miami-Dade County - 2.7 mil

In my opinion, as darling as is it, I do not think Nashville is as new agey as you imagine it to be Bella, doesn’t stand out in that way, no history of liberalness or politic for it, seems pretty corporate, especially in regards to their own music scene. http://www.reddit.com/r/n ashville/comments/4024o5/anybody_from_austin_looking_for_comparison_and/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf not to mention, there will be a definite culture shock in Tennessee with its popular, yet very unspiritual unbohemian, social conservatism. On the map of which states are more racist in USA, Tennessee is red “‘much, more racist than average” and most of Texas and especially the west, is blue “much, less racist than average”. http://arc-anglerfish-washpost-prod-washpost.s3.amazonaws.com/public/3276NB 3DTQ6KBEYT5AFX7KW33U.png

The way I see it, if the State itself (i.e California, Oregon, Arizona, Texas) has multiple cities within known for being spiritually-progressive, not only it’s major towns, then it’s a safe bet it’s actually a part of the culture and not just a trend.

food for thought

Thanks!

That is so odd. I keep picking places that are 0 for love and romance...all 3, how odd!! I met one of my long term girlfriends of 1.5 years in Washington DC and married and was in a relationship with a girl I met in Bogota, with her for 4.5 years.

Sad to see Belgrade as a 0 as I like the people here and seems to have a ton of potential for romance!

Optimism and Opportunity also a 0 in all three.....hmmm.

Your natal chart has Mars-Venus-Moon in a Sag-Cap-Aries Learning Triangle. ... So, you take this issue with you no matter where you relocate to - and that will attract a partner, even in places where the planets of the "love and romance" theme are not angular.

Your best scores for "love and romance" appear to be for locations that have the Venus/Mars mid-point on the ascendant. ... For example, Houston Texas = 761 and Chicago, Illinois = 786.

For "optimism and opportunity", follow the Jupiter on Ascendant line ... For example, Mexico City Mexico = 702 (with 351 for vocation/career, 287 for friends/family and 119 for love/romance).

And in your natal chart, Sun-Jupiter-Uranus are in a 13th harmonic relationship ... which remains active in any location, including those where the "optimism and opportunity" theme planets are not angular.

Thanks, you are an absolute wealth of knowledge, appreciate it! I never would have guessed going back to the US as I am strongly attracted to foreign women and having a greater chance of meeting them (ie: out of the US).

I am surprised what you say about Mexico City as I turned down a job in that city to work in Monterrey Mexico for a year and I had a miserable time, career-wise, there, less than a 2 hour plane ride away!

Maybe my Transit Venus in the 7th house will help, regardless of location and romance score, with finding something serious!

Thanks again.

Monterrey, Mexico scores 29 for 'friends/family"; 25 for "culture/creativity" ... and ZERO for everything else!

The downer appears to be that your ascendant at that location is conjunct fixed stars Lesath and Aculeus.

Hello Graham,
Thank you for the calculations!

It looks like it may be Austin or Dallas for me. I decided this morning I will be making a move to either one soon. To be honest, I think this is for the best for me. With my moon in Cancer, I am so attached to my family, but Minneapolis...being where I was born and raised has been a struggle for me. My life has been stagnant for years. Day one starts today. I thank you and EVERYONE for shedding the light for me. I appreciate it abundantly!

Thank you! ❤️

That does not shock me at all, I really did not feel I fit in Monterrey all that much. The first month was very cultural and I enjoyed many museums and galleries, but once work started....ugh. Probably the worst "boss"
I have ever had. I made a few friends and had some good times when not at work, some of the time at least. I had left Guatemala City, another place I spent for a year, to go to this place and felt like that was probably a mistake. On the flipside, as you said, I enjoyed Mexico City a lot, as well as a visit to Guadalajara. Currently, I really feel Belgrade has a ton of potential for my personal tastes so was shocked basically all the scores were so low as I find it much better than Monterrey, Washington DC, Guatemala City or Bogota who had similar scores. I would like to look more into relocation astrology as it interests me as I love travel and would like to find out why Belgrade strikes me as a place with such possibility despite the underwhelming scores. Although to be fair to Washington DC, it was very cultural for me, at least.

Astrologically, it is probably because the (permanent) planet-to-planet aspects in your natal chart are over-riding the planet-to-angles aspects of your relocated chart for Belgrade.

For example, your 9 planets in houses 9-10-11-12-1 of the natal chart at your birthplace are in houses 6-7-8 at Belgrade. So, at Belgrade your focus (and that of your planet-to-planet aspect "issues") changes considerably. (Health-partners-others, rather than expansion-status-social-?-self).

That is for sure! Plus I have been told between Belgrade and Serbia, one is a Scorpio, one is a Capricorn, don't remember which is which.

At your birthplace, the natal chart has a Capricorn ascendant and Scorpio midheaven. ... At Belgrade/Serbia, it has a Gemini ascendant and Aquarius midheaven - perhaps resulting in you being more outgoing there, as might the 9 planet stellium's move to houses 6+7+8.

Yes, I am more outgoing in Serbia, indeed. Many more friends than usual, especially from different backgrounds.

Plus I take more risks, for instance, in talking to beautiful girls and have gotten dates from 3 or 4 different girls already out of these risky outgoing approaches.. as well as some other great conversations and making ladies laugh, even if it didn't lead to a date. I like the style of the women here, a lot and just how they tend to be here (educated, open, etc.)!

I think I’ll be relocating to Vienna. Would enjoy longterm in Athens but don’t have the language to pursue opportunity open-endedly. Shall see what happens in the following months
