By putting the Venus/Mars midpoint on an angle, "your sex drive and all emotional baggage" becomes a prominent issue/influence in your 1st/4th/7th/10th house activities. ... So, if on the descendant, you will actively search for (and almost certainly find) a partner ... but whether or not you are able to keep them will depend upon the condition/issues/emotional baggage of your natal Mars and Venus.

for example ... I have Venus in Libra/1st sextile Mars in Sagittarius/3rd, with their midpoint exactly on the cusp of my Scorpio 3rd house. Hence, I am very comfortable with allowing others to see me "warts 'n all" ... which results in long-lasting relationships (of all kinds), because I've always known instinctively that "no matter where we go, there we are".

The Sirius interpretations are much briefer than those of astro.com, but the software now includes the Matrix Horizons program that provides longer interpretations (which do mirror those of astro.com).
