Graham - with venus/mars midpoint at the 4 angles, what do they mean in these four locations? To look for romance, should one put venus/mars conjunct with dscendent?IP: Logged |

From Astrocalc midpoint interpretations :- 1. Venus/Mars midpoint = "your sex drive and all emotional baggage are activated"
2. Venus/Mars on Ascendant = "At times you may feel at war with yourself, wanting things and not liking the way you are setting about getting them. Reactions from others in your environment are possible, which will help you to redirect your wants in a more harmonious fashion." 3. Venus/Mars on MC = "when you set out to achieve your objectives, this is done rather forcefully. In fact, it is likely that the more challenging the desire, the more energy you will put into achieving it. It is possible though that all this and much more can be achieved by the use of diplomacy and tact. Your beliefs and values can be represented in a way that they can be meaningful and of use to other people." And, from the Astrodienst AstroTravel interpretation for Mars on Ascendant :- "Generally, Mars locations can promote a lack in considerateness, patience and diplomatic behaviour. Being impulsive can lead to fights and arguments. Lack of levelheadedness can easily lead to accidents and injuries. Without any new challenges, the old and accustomed ways soon become boring. Mars' strong point is in pioneering, not so much in the continuation and conclusion of what was started." By putting the Venus/Mars midpoint on an angle, "your sex drive and all emotional baggage" becomes a prominent issue/influence in your 1st/4th/7th/10th house activities. ... So, if on the descendant, you will actively search for (and almost certainly find) a partner ... but whether or not you are able to keep them will depend upon the condition/issues/emotional baggage of your natal Mars and Venus. for example ... I have Venus in Libra/1st sextile Mars in Sagittarius/3rd, with their midpoint exactly on the cusp of my Scorpio 3rd house. Hence, I am very comfortable with allowing others to see me "warts 'n all" ... which results in long-lasting relationships (of all kinds), because I've always known instinctively that "no matter where we go, there we are".

The Sirius interpretations are much briefer than those of astro.com, but the software now includes the Matrix Horizons program that provides longer interpretations (which do mirror those of astro.com). However ... in my opinion ... the $550 Sirius/Horizons software does not provide "better" or more informative interpretations than those provided by the free astro.com software.

I see. And do the aspects in these different areas change with time? Or do they always remain the same?IP: Logged |

They stay the same throughout the hours/days/months/years that you remain at that location. In effect, it is your natal chart - but drawn/overlaid with a new wheel of house cusps. ... The chart you would have had, if born at that location. IP: Logged |
