Coffee, is this you? *** Animal dung coffee at $100 a cup For a charity cause, a coffee blended with animal droppings is sold at a department store for $100 per cup. Civet eats Kopi Luwak beans and its droppings are collected, the beans are then used to make the rare coffee.
Kopi Luwak coffee is a rare type of coffee, sells currently for £324 a kilogram (nearly $290 a pound). The coffee bean is originally harvested by Civets, a cat like beasts that love their coffee fresh. They eat the beans from the robusta and hybrid arabusta trees and choose only the tastiest ones. They chew off the exterior and swallow the hard innards of the coffee cherry. Then they go through a complex process inside their stomachs: "enzymes in the gastric juices massage the beans, smoothing off the harsh edges that make coffee bitter and produce caffeine jitters". Humans harvest these beans from the dung and remove the thin outer layer of the beans and roast them to make the Kopi Luwak coffee. The connoisseurs claim the coffee is very tasty and a special one to drink. Hence the price for these beans is very high and they are in short supply. David Cooper, blended this rare Kupi Luwak and Jamaican Blue Mountain to create Caffé Raro, an expensive coffee drink that sells for $100 per cup. The Peter Jones department store wants to sell this coffee and will use the profits from the sales for the Macmillan Cancer Support, charity organization. David Cooper told BBC News: "These rare coffees have been slowly hand roasted for around 12 minutes to ensure that we maximize the potential of each coffee…The final roast color is quite dark to ensure that the espresso is perfect for a smooth latte or cappuccino." I have tasted Blue Mountain coffee, which tastes great by itself but I am not sure about this blend. IP: Logged |

I could have some fun with this story, but no, it aint me. quote:
They chew off the exterior and swallow the hard innards of the coffee cherry.
Almost choked on something there, I need to lay down after that. Sure one or two others had the same reaction. IP: Logged |

First crush? A little blonde blueeyed boy with the name Christian in elementary school. He broke my heart. Then wehn i was 14, there was this blonde greeneyed boy, whose name started with a J (and no I am NOT talking about Jude. ), who was an arrogant prick actually, but really charming. lol
Oh and TV-crushs? Hmm, I don`t really remember, but according to my Mom it must have been Richard Dean Anderson Not much changed, I guess. LOL

Even now???? I've seen the Sex God recently, and let me tell you, i wouldn't be so eager to strip down to my birthday suit with ponch bellied, flat-haired, 2009-Robby Plant. 1960s Robert? Yes. 1970s Robert? You bet your life! Maybe even 1980s... but NOT 2009. ..and they call ME the Grandad Shagger! IP: Logged |

First Crush = Richard Thomas. I was 4. My parents were watching the horror film "It" with Tim Curry (which would later result in my fear of clowns) and i snuck behind the sofa. I remember being scared beyond belief, but not going to bed 'cause i thought Richard was foxy! IP: Logged |

Miss you too meta!!!! I've been battling on the fields of eBay for cheap, cheap, dirt cheap cds for my iTunes!!! The battle lasted for 9 days - I still have some stealthy bidding to do - My attitude changed when someone stole my bid in the last 15 seconds - now I can get bids down to 5 seconds!!! What a mean little knowflake I am!!! Now I'm aching with eBay shoulders and stiff bidder's neck. But I've sharpened up my trigger lightening fast mouse finger, so I'm feeling satisfied Must fall into bed now and dream of CDs, or is that DDs or is that the smell of aromatic Coffee?? Whatever, my dreams shall be pleasant!! Love to you all IP: Logged |

I wore a hat on my wedding day. It saved me thinking about hairstyles, but maybe for a hair disaster this could also be a solution? Think how much fun you could have picking a dramatic hat to match your shoes. I love hats. IP: Logged |
