I liked that test, and I think the results were fairly accurate.but I have a problem with such tests. We answer from our own perspective, so it is well possible that we will have "idealized" results. It would be interesting to let someone who knows us well and spends much time with us answer for us. And then we could discuss the differences and probably argue heatedly. IP: Logged |

Write,I agree, it`s for fun. But I rememberd that I once was doing these enneagram tests with friends of mine, and the boyfriend of my best friend saw himself completely different than we would have. On top of that the way he was acting completely contradicted the things he said about himself. Okay, he was a Psycho, maybe that explains some things.
But I also had a phase when I was really fascinated with those personality tests, and I actually did them myself, but also let my family members and best friends make them for me (I did that for them, too) - and it was VERY interesting and led to fruitful talks and helped all of us to really see us through the eyes of others. sometimes it`s fascinating what others will see in us, what we have never seen in ourselves, but that is still true and reveals a side of us, that has been obvious to others all along, even if we didnīt see it ouselves, good and bad sides. Of course it doesn`t mean that others ALWAYS see us like we ARE, but neither do we ourselvves. Probably there is no way we REALLY ARE, but we are highlighting different sides of ourselves in the contact with others. Intriguing.
I remember my brother called me "argumentative" and "assertive in intellectual things" - I would never ever have thought that about myself. Never realized that about m e. But I must say he is true, I CAN be almost aggressive when it comes to discussing things that are of value to me or if I feel threatened in my opinion. I mean intellectually aggressive and stubborn. My Aqua Moon is in a fixed sign after all and the dispositor is Uranus in Scorpio in 11th house, ruling the 3rd. Astrologically I definitely can see that "intellectual assertiveness", but never saw it in myself.
It is not always there though, but since I realized that it was sometimes there, I found a way to "work" with it. Not always the best way, but it is a beginning. So actually more interesting than doing these tests myself, was disccussing them with other people. Very enlightening. But you have to be open and real. It`s not always easy. IP: Logged |

Yeah, maybe I should get my sister to sit down and do the test for me. ^__^Btw, I think having more open lower body chakras than the higher ones can be just as bad since it can indicate (to me atleast) lack of insight and very rigid or even prejudiced thinking. Each to their own though...... IP: Logged |

yeah it is just for fun, but weirdly i had my chakras 'read' with a pendulum by a shaman woman once and found this test a year or so later and the results were the same!! phew, i'm glad i'm doing better. overactive, as she explained, is not so good especially in the higher up ones as it indicates too much psychic sensitivity.. think too much neptune (my top two used to be way overactive). and yay my root's doing a little better these days! used to be WAY more underactive!Root: under-active (-25%) Sacral: under-active (-6%) Navel: under-active (6%) Heart: open (63%) Throat: open (44%) Third Eye: open (50%) Crown: open (31%) IP: Logged |

It really is the same. I actively work on my chakras and can see them in a mirror and this rest portrays pretty much identically what l see. Thanks for this test - it's so interesting. IP: Logged |

Lara, I'm not sure where you are getting your chakra information from, but it sounds like science fiction.IP: Logged |

I can understand people disagreeing about how to interpret or see things - there are numerous schools of belief - in astrology, numerology, etc, etc, and chakras as well. I've got a book here that disputes the chakras and shows different ones, and less of them. When someone says that they can relate to something - you can't dispute that. That's inside themselves. No matter what you may think about it. You never truly know what goes on inside another person or the perception of their world. Only they can hold that. You can question someone's self-honesty, but your world may not be like theirs. We're all different and experience different things. People think we're kooks for belief in astrology. I like to think LL is safe haven for differing experiences and respect of those, even if we don't agree on them. IP: Logged |

PA, its not neccessary to refer to me in the third person, you can use my name. I'm the only one here who has shown disagreement.IP: Logged |

I wasn't referring to you alone. If I were I would certainly have referred to you by name.EDIT: You're not the only one to show disagreement. IP: Logged |

BetelgeuseBack from the fireworks show. Seems that we may have interpreted it differently. Benedict Moon* Cool link. My results: Root: under-active (-38%) Sacral: under-active (-6%) Navel: open (38%) Heart: open (63%) Throat: open (63%) Third Eye: over-active (69%) Crown: open (25%) I think mine is probably an apt description. I think I should add "unfortunately" in there. Ah well, at least I can work on it. IP: Logged |

BetelgeuseHow do you mean please? I am not saying anything about "chakras" just that this test appears to be accurate based on my result of it and my own chakras. lol what's the problem? IP: Logged |

ooooh well he's welcome to come to my house and i'll teach him to do it himself Thanks Katatonic for clarifying. I thought maybe he'd run out of beetlejuice or something hehe Would anyone appreciate it if l gave you a simple technique to open up all your base chakra's? That would in turn open the 2nd and allow conscious stream to the 3rd

What really defines a chakra as being too active anyway? Do we need to work at scoring 50% on each one, or is the test itself -30% IP: Logged |

LTT it seems to me that what is overactive partly depends on the whole picture - since for one person 69% is described as open, and for another 69% is overactive; but their other chakras are different so i'm GUESSING that the relationship between your various chakras is part of the valuation...IP: Logged |
