TRUST ME, I know the consequences of just saying "eff it, let's bone".Yeah, me too, this morning I had a shower and there was a Lego Star Wars ship lying around my feet. And can one of the men please tell me at what age little boys stop talking loudly about their gentialia in public places? It's going to be a depressing answer, like 70 or something. I just had to let that out there, sorry, back to contraception. IP: Logged |

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, geesh! How do you do it? Or, rather, how do you not do it? I can't imagine how difficult it must be to be in your situation. So how long do the two of you stay locked in together when he gets home?! I can't imagine you go out for much at first. I feel for ya! IP: Logged |

Why would someone put a condom on a strap-on? Some do because they're REALLY concerned about infections.I don't (I have "different toys" for when I want to make sure "some don't mix ground" and I'm good about cleaning them after use anyway). I don't know how what I said could be construed as saying putting condoms on strap-ons either, especially as I said I prefer them to a penis with a condom (ie, the condom itself is what's so aggravating), though I get the impression that's how at least one person understood it...which just baffles me. Condoms on dildos/strap-ons are a very sensible idea. Most of these sex toys are made of a material that can harbour bacteria. The most hygenic material to use is glass and is fast becoming a popular style of dildo to use. Sadly, even blood tests cannot detect genital warts for every individual. It is this HPV that is responsible for giving women cervical cancer. quote: Overall, it is estimated that 75% of sexually active men and women have been exposed to HPV at some point in their lives.
http://cme.medscape.com/viewarticle/508691 I don't want to burst anyone's bubble or condom, but there's a responsibility that goes with having unprotected sex. IP: Logged |

Ok, Dervish... I got ya now. I did read that wrong. I'm sorry if I offended you-- I was only having a bit of fun with a fun topic, although there is certainly a serious side here, too. One more question while I've already got my foot in my mouth-- am I correct in assuming you're female? IP: Logged |

No way about condom sex being better than no sex. What's the point, exactly?? I never put a condom on my strap-ons with my ex-lovers (and never thought to. That would be weirdly super paranoid. Sorry. If I need THAT much protection against you, I'm not going to have you in my bed lol)I hate how sanitized sex is becoming...rubber genitals, hands, disinfected everything...how the hell do you call that intimate? I'm sorry, I don't get it. You want to be 'safe'? Have better judgment. It amazes me that people don't rely on their own good judgment anymore. Besides, none of us are ever safe. Yeah, I know that's general, but it is the truth. Every time you screw someone, you're at risk. Period. Put on a condom or don't have sex. Or do, and risk it. And for the record, Lara is right. My sister and brother were conceived through condoms, soooo.... LOL You guys can keep your hand sanitizers and rubbery rubber things lol. To each his/her own, I guess. IP: Logged |

What? Doesn't everyone scrub their partner's erect penis with Ajax before sex?Really? What's wrong with you people. Maybe it's just my Pluto in Virgo in 6th. I put the condoms in the dishwasher after use. They feel softer the next time. IP: Logged |

Actually, quite seriously for a moment, in truth, you NEVER know where your partner has been - no matter how long you've known them. They don't know where they've been either - because they don't necessarily know where their previous partners have been (unless someone is a virgin, of course). So, you don't know where anyone has been or what they've done or do. Condoms aren't nice - they don't feel nice - and I don't think many people actually like them - but they really are a necessity for casual sex situations and with longer term partners until you've had the relevant tests and clear results. It's ignorant to think that it's okay to go without condoms because the person looks healthy or clean or because you've known them for a certain amount of time. IP: Logged |

I don't think condoms are all out horrible-- at least I don't think they negate connection. There is more than just genital to genital connection happening during sex. I've had close, intimate encounters while using condoms. I don't use birth control pills, and before we were married, if my husband and I wanted to have sex while I was ovulating, we would use a condom. I actually felt that being responsible together promoted intimacy.Sure, the skin to skin contact is infinitely better, but I don't think condoms are so horrible that I would forgo sex. Hubby on the other hand would generally disagree... IP: Logged |
