I may need that katana about now. Bedtime for the kids. A dog book from the school library to read.Oh, the katana? For the bloody book, of course. No, it's not fiction. That's the problem. Though, an upshot from the usual brand of insect books that the youngest usually chooses. In recent times we have learnt all about the mating styles of flies. And every other ******* insect imaginable. Embellished with (very) close-up pictures. bm - sorry No disrespect was meant towards any books. But have you ever read those things!!! And, no book was harmed in the making of this post. IP: Logged |

WheelsYou can try to highlight something or if it's an image, just right click on it and choose "copy" and paste it directly into Powerpoint. Otherwise you can do a screen dump by pressing the print screen button (just in case you don't know) on the keyboard and then paste it in another application (like Paint if you have a Windows operating system) and then crop it in there and then save it and then import or just highlight it from Paint and paste it into your Powerpoint slide. Is that what you mean? Well, I may not know anything about computers, but I know a lot more about dogs now. EDIT: Windows (not Word). Sorry. Also - if you right click an image online and save it on your computer you can then import it from within Powerpoint. IP: Logged |

PA, you legend. It's not a picture exactly, I can't really explain, it's a section of text with a little logo. But when I right-click it won't let me save it as you would a picture. I just found the Print screen button (hey print screen button! Who knew you existed!) and I pressed it but, um nowt happens. Errrr. Stuck! Screen dump, that's what I meant to say, durhh.Hey Spanks! Get scrubbing! IP: Logged |

WheelsEDIT: Open Paint. If you're on a Windows product, you'll find it at the "Start" menu on the bottom left corner and in "Accessories". Open that then paste the pic. Then there is a shaping tool - looks like a square made of cut up lines - choose that and highlight the part of the graphic that you want - and then if you choose "copy" you should be able to paste that directly into the Powerpoint slide. That print screen button is a gem. It's allowed me to "cheat" some graphics in my work when I've had to make it look like I've done the right thing in my notes. It's good for deleting little slight inconveniences.IP: Logged |

Try doing it all in Powerpoint and see what happens. You must have some version of "Paint", some basic graphic application that you can use. Something.Try Word - you can drop print sreens directly into Word. You can then probably do a right click copy from there and paste into Powerpoint. IP: Logged |
