mysticmelody sent me a mail a couple of days ago. she's asking me to forward her appreciation of our help. she's not able to come to LL right now because she's got more important financial priorities but she said to all a BIG thank you.

MM, these times are difficults and most of us know right now or have known before your situation. although not all of us have the charge of a child when this happen. you are doing great, I'm looking up to you for your strengh. my mum has been in this situation when she divorced my dad and when me and my older sister were kids, later, when I grew up, she told me more than once what she did for us. I felt guilty for it but now that I'm an adult (30), I realised what she must have gone through.

what we've done is not much, really not exceptional, may be exceptional by our modern standard but if we are a community, and LL is one great community, then we ought to do things like that for each other. a few generations ago, people were still helping each other in their community.

if we had been living in the same village, I would have helped you whatever way I could have. even more so as a single parent in this TERRIBLE economy. for me, money is only a tool, and a very powerful one. giving money is really not such a big deal for me, as long as I have enough to pay my rent.

you are not alone MM
