I don't hate you (tosser that I am), and I think the number of those who do, would be very low. Disagree with you, maybe, but not hate you.I like all of the suggestions ~ I also don't think that Absinthe would abuse the position (if anyone's worried about that).

valus - to quote MM be whatever you want in life, but don't get bitter, when others don't eat, breathe, believe or live the same way that you do. you are only hurting yourself. there are many here who don't hate you. however they do hate that you go to personal insult when they express their opinions. an aqua moon should be able to understand that. i think MM or AG would make great moderators here. LTT is pretty wise, kat. We could ALL learn from this. Especially those of us who still think it's not about them. quote: however they do hate that you go to personal insult when they express their opinions. an aqua moon should be able to understand that.
Yes, I can understand that. It's a little frustrating for me, though, because 90-99% of the population has already expressed those opinions, and i am in the margins. Try to understand. Also, while you are telling me what's up, don't forget to tell the others, too. We wouldn't want anybody to think you were just being biased, would we? Or are these things all okay to say now: "joke", "poor baby", "s1ut", "ass", "piece of sh!t", "waste of space on this planet", "Spoiled only-child with superiority complex", and "smug, narcissistic, worthless, sack of sh!t"? These are all okay now, right? And clearly much kinder than anything you can think of that I have said.

i was addressing your continued insistence that everybody hates you which is obviously not true. it seems to me that the name calling you refer to stems from relationships longer and more involved than i know about. i do not call you names. and will not. it really doesn't bother me when you try to push my buttons. i have taken issues with some of your assertions. not because that is what everybody says or tells me but because i have actually experienced and seen how things actually work out. and i am not going to carry on this discussion here. i was trying to be a) reassuring and b) specific about how you might interrupt the cycle. my two cents. FWTAW. and if that quote was from LTT, apologies for the faulty reference. edit: sorry cpn. seems when the wrong name is on it your words are more appreciated. back to topic maybe? IP: Logged |

This has been misquoted a few times. cpn said that. Valus, thank you for the support. Obicham te. People are afraid that I won't be impartial when the duels begin and I can understand that. MM and teasel, thank you and no worries. I can still sleep at night. I will be most concerned about allowing Valus his freedom of speech and rushing to soften his tone. I do believe men and women communicate very differently especially under pressure. Women are looking to bond with one another and find common grounds, men are in it to win it. I am curious to see how I will be able to handle the situation if given the opportunity. Unfortunately so far, there has been none of that. I always wonder why. Is it the cultural barrier? Is it the language? Is it the fact that I never publicly shared details about my personal life? (The culture here is to externalize as much as possible. I'm starting to see its benefits but the focus on individualism is still baffling to me.) At least I am not as invisible here now as in the last 6 years. It must be this tPluto right on my Mercury. There is always the nagging thought that I haven't contributed anything of value to the board. Anything of value would be more informational and educational posts than sharing of personal history. Then I look around and I see mindless conversations that lead nowhere... so, I don't know. At any rate. Maybe you're right. Maybe it's not for me. Thanks for reading.

yin you have contributed a great deal here. my personal reason for not voting for you would be that i think it distresses you when things are getting edgy. you are too sensitive and i actually mean that as a compliment. sensitivity is sorely underrated in our society... IP: Logged |

yin - you are appreciated very much. you are sensitive kind and genuinely warm person.it's just...perhaps a wee bit biased when it comes to v. (which is perfectly normal to be a bit biased with those you love) thats all. you would make a great mod if it weren't for that. IP: Logged |

-Teasel (and not because she nominated me. ) -AG- He's a cool customer. He can handle this. -Yin is a very good choice. I know there's fear for her objectivity, but I think she can do a great job. _____________ Valus- sigh. Are you trying to start an argument calling me a tosser, or do you expect me not to say anything because you didn't specify who exactly you were calling a tosser by just grouping us together like that and using "mostly"? save me the distress and specify so that I can address you about something specific and direct instead of this skirting about. I like to know where I stand with people. ------------------ Blog IP: Logged |

After thinking about this all night, I think one position should go to Yin. She has been here a long time, she is online all the time, and she asked first. She keeps up with all sorts of current events, and she is a complete computer genius. She should be given a chance. As far as the other position. All of them sounded fine. I still think AG would make a good balance, but, that isn't my decision. Wheels would be a riot, but I thought she said she wouldn't be online much or something. This forum needs someone around. I think MVM would be great, but I don't know if she has expressed interest or not. CPN would make it fun. I would love to see her get it, but I am unclear on whether she still has trouble with online stalkers, and that would be a concern.. WinkAway would also be impartial, IMHO, as impartial as one can be in a forum that people are now using for their own personal agendas, whatever they may be, when, clearly there are other forums dedicated to those very topics. This used to be my favorite forum, and it hasn't been for a long time. It's depressing. I couldn't handle that. I hope whoever gets it, makes it more like it was last year. Hard decision Randall, Good Luck!! IP: Logged |

Absinthe would also be good because she doesn't take misbehavior lightly, but She's still nurturing and supportive. Wink Away is brave enough to nominate herself on this forum, which speaks volumes because she's brave. _____________ HD- I had no idea it was gender specific. If Valus knew that it was, I apologize for being defensive. If not... ------------------ Blog IP: Logged |

Thanks, Gypsee. But I'm not interested in the all the politics and the BS. Plus I don't like seeing people being torn verbally and emotionally time and again and seeing nothing happen. I think AG would be great. I also think Gypsee would be as well as LEXX, and Absinthe too. I'm sure there are others, but I also notice a lot of ass-kissing and ego-stroking posts as well when there should be some order, and I'm not impressed. I've seen some of the most authentic and down-to-earth people (CPN, Katatonic, AG, among others) put down and flat-out insulted here, and now we're just seeking a MODERATOR? Are you kidding me? Why is it even getting to that point? It's like freakin' daycare. wahwahwah. Who's going to be best in charge at delicately dealing with the ego? Have fun, bye IP: Logged |
