The only thing scary about pot is the fact it's messes with the R.E.M part of sleep.I've known chronic users who were not able to have dreams in 3 or 5 months.
That is where the psychosis part comes in..
My cousin's boyfriend smoked pot almost everday..he couldn't even perform the most simplest tasks such as writing a check or remembering to turn the stove off.(he's almost burnt the apartment with their dog inside down)
After all it does effect short term memory as well..
My great uncle and my aunt's boyfriend smoke pot to supress war nightmares..
My s.o cried when they could..get this..finally have dreams at night..they had been smoking pot excessively to rid stress..
This is only to those that smoke pot EXCESSIVELY, meaning they smoke it from Mon. to Sun. from sunrise to sundown, because they "honestly" believe they "can't" function without pot,but truthfully they have no real medical reason for pot..but to each their own..
Even though pot is not really varified as a dependent drug..meaning it should be easy to quit and not become addicting..they somehow do..
Anyways, I am becoming a substance abuse social worker and I grew up around chronic pot smokers and alcholics so this stuff is of real interest to me.
Also, people have to be careful about smoking pot, because "dealers" could lace the pot with anything.
Just a tid bit.
