It was a bad idea for me to even express my distaste for GU, I should've just kept my opinions to myself.I have a deep respect and appreciation for Obama. He, to me is a wonderfully eloquent man that always gives me the dream that hope and peace is on the horizon. I am also happy that he broke the racial barrier and I can tell my black child that he can be ANY thing he wants in this world and mean it. Obama grew up in a single parent household, same as my son. I know the things I'm saying right now may not be politically correct, I acknowledge this so please do not attempt to fight with me as I have already thrown in the towel. To call Bush a Nazi is wrong, yes. But to call our president Obomber? Come on, Randall. You have many people from India and Middle East here, can you not see the ugliness in this? Over and over again calling Barack Hussein Obomber? Then to give me a history lesson on slavery as to say "other folks were slaves too, deal with it" OK. If you aren't black DO NOT attempt to assume you know where I'm coming from because you are "well versed" in history. Knowing history is one thing, experiencing is another. I still see slavery in my culture. It's called slave mentality aka n*gga mentality, it even effects me at times, it's a tough habit to break. Obama gives me hope that it can be broken. The name has nothing to with Obama's ethnicity; nor is it racism. It's because he said he would bomb our allies.

It was pointed out several times to Jwhop that Obama's plan was exactly the same as Obama's predecessor, Bush, whom received no such maligning from Jwhop.IP: Logged |

Ones' heritage is a VERY personal matter that one takes very seriously and holds very closely to one's heart.
I am glad my dear friend, EES ,feels some resolution in this matter.
Raymond, I am sorry for what you went through,also.
It is a special challenge to be a minority and to maintain equanimity in the face of other people's comments,intentionally hateful or simply ignorant of another's life and its issues.
It hurts no matter which is the case.
I am not judging THIS issue cuz I do not go to GU.
I never have.

Raymond i think randall is right here..He has expressed his heart felt praise about the skills that you possess..we all know that and it feels awesome for all of us.
