I was rooting for Mexico. Those were tragic few minutes for me.

This is the most dramatic World Cup I've watched so far.

Any favorite for next match, Mae? I'm rooting for Costa Rica.

Ahh nony, we keep ending up on opposite sides, you and I.. tragic indeed!

But ofc I root for Costa Rica! Greece eliminated my team so I am still p*ssed with them. I hope they go back home.

I empathize with the Mexicans.
Thinking that you are already in the quarter-finals and then lose in this way ...

Algeria stood strong against germany! Remember the players were fasting for Ramadan and still managed to drag the germans in overtime. Im proud of Algeria

Me too! Also for the fact that they didn't give up and scored at the end, even if it didn't matter anymore. They showed some strong character! It was past 1 AM my time but I am glad I watched that one.

Yes. But I admitted I root for Argentina. Still, it's a shame such good looking men went home. jk

Belgium or USA?

How did I not know this thread existed!?!?!?

I really feel for Tim Howard, arguably the best performance of his career. Belgium was the better team today and deserved the win. 16 saves= G.O.A.T. Bradley, on the other hand, can stay in Brazil and never come back.

US had some great chances to tie or win it. I can see Belgium pulling off the upset because outside of Messi, Argentina is very overrated.

I would love nothing more than Costa Rica to beat the Dutchbags but that is probably a long shot. #teamCONCACAF #justiceforMEX #RobbenjointheDiveteam

I really hope Germany wins it all (if they get their defense straightened out). The GER-FRA game is going to be great. I think Colombia can take it to Brazil, especially if James continues to play the way he has. I have a soft spot for Neymar (put down the hair dye and stop diving), Marcelo, and David Luiz though.

Also, as a Barca fan I am disgusted my club is going after Suarez. Really, FCB? I'm pretty sure our shite defense is the problem. A striker with psychological issues is the last thing we need.

Change Neymar to Robben and ITA. Neymar deserves a silver though

Suarez just wants to bite Sergio Biscuits, that's why he's going there.

TIM HOWARD

In 2nd place: San Ochoa, Pirlo, CR7 (I love his sassy arse), Chicharito, Mats Hummels (my bae), Neymar, Marcelo, Nigerian GK, Marchisio, James Rodriguez, Clint Dempsey, and Klose (living legend!)

3rd place: fan in the crowd with the 'Adios Spana' sign lol

Honorable Mention: Julian Green (the future of US soccer)

Also, are you the poster in the 'guess the soccer player asc' thread that talked about liking Neymar? I remember having that convo with someone.

I am not very knowledgeable about soccer, but seriously, what was that slapstick-playing of the Germans in the last match (right following the sleepiness of the first half)?

Honestly,b eing Germany and all, I should root for Germany, but if they donīt start actually playing the game, they will not stand a chance against FRance (unless they are getting lucky again,a s they did in the matches against Algeria and the USA).

I agree, im surprised by the european teams this World Cup, not as good as they used to be in 2010. Lots of surprises this year!

ITA!!

Ever since the Port game their offense has lacked. Did the Ghana witch doctor get them? I'm also worried about their defense because booger-picker Low insists on playing a 4 CB defense, which has been exposed several times.

Speaking of offense, did you see Mueller fall on the PK? lololol that was hilarious.
