Ashfg YESSSS YESSS! He got two of them!!
How super nerve-wracking that was. Penalty kicks are not good for my nerves...or heart.

Pfffff oh wow, this is such a relief. Smart move changing the goalie at the last moment.

Very sorry to everyone who supported Costa Rica, though. Those players had some bad luck at the end. If it makes anyone feel better, I was scared for NL from the beginning and it wasn't so clear to me as it was for others (in who would win). They had a brilliant shot at the end.

The Dutch deserved the win today but Krul ain't shite for trash talking during and after the PK's. Classless. Neuer, Howard, and Ochoa would never.

Navas was impressive and kudos to CR for getting this far, but how can you not score? It was like they were cursed and couldn't get it in. Netherlands needs to step it up or Argentina is going to run over them.

Hoping for a Germany-Arg final, but it would be cool to see Brazil get there given their circumstances. Netherlands has the talent to do it if they are able to put together a complete game performance like against Spain.

NL vs. Costa Rica. Unbelievable ...

Costa Rica played so as not to lose and the Dutch were somehow not able to make a goal.
Note that it has never happened before in a world cup tournament (as far as I know) that the goalkeeper is changed especially for the shootout.

Toch had Mark Rutte weer gelijk met zijn voorspelling. Twee doelpunten verschil.

Brazil vs Germany in less than 24 hrs! I am already nervous, the team captain (thiago silva) is out for the game as well. David Luiz will replace him as captain, which im proud of, hes been amazing this world cup! Tune in guys! I think you all know who im rooting for already

I'd be very surprised if Brazil win, today. But Germany have a habit of bottling the big games.

Yes. I can't say that I'm too surprised, the Brazil team is the weakest I've seen, practically defenseless. I feel sorry for the supporters though, and hope they will understand it's just a game shouldn't be taken too seriously. I hope the 1950's scenario won't be repeated.

Other than that, the Germans could have spared a little more emotion/joy, wtf..

Germans were kind, could’ve scored 10 past them in that half.
2nd half is still left....

I feel bad for them. Honestly, I wanted Germany to win, but not like this. Losing your star players and the scoring record is bad enough. Also very concerned about rioting and safety of the players afterward.

But damn, does this make the US look good.

I would love for Germany to play Argentina, classic match up.

Well, I think there was one psychological moment when everything crumbled (3-0). Still, they would have lost anyway - no defense, no strategy, just the heart lol. Germany is the best! A well-deserved victory.

The US team was honestly not bad! I think they've improved their game a lot and will go further and further if they keep this up.

I would love for Netherlands to beat Argentina, even though I've cheered for Argentina a lot at this World Cup. But I do want the Cup to go to Europe, it's where the best soccer is played anyway.

An European final on South American soil

Exactly my thoughts. I really hope everyone understand it is just a game.
