Thanks amelia I'm just glad the whole thing is over, and time heals all wounds. Did anyone catch that last episode? I'm gonna change my guess about Jamie, I think she might be a Taurus. She and Doug are TOO cute!

Yeah, i've watched all the episodes so far. My guesses are the same as yours about Vaughn, Monet and Doug. Not sure about the others. I don't think Monet and Vaughn have a chance at lasting. She's too free-spirited and like he said, he needs someone more laid-back and mellow and someone who doesn't talk so much. lol IP: Logged |

Hi T!Finally! Someone's helping me figure this very important issue out! It's a shame about Vaughn and Monet, I don't think they'll last either. I felt bad for him when he tried to tell Money that he simply doesn't want to do brunch with her friends, and she acted like that was some big offense ("He's so negative!") How many guys would really WANT to do that, anyway? I think if they got to know each other in a different setting first, like as co-workers, they might've been a more successful couple. IP: Logged |

Yes, I thought the same thing about Monet getting ticked that he didn't want to go to her girl's brunch. How could she not understand that? It seemed she wasn't understanding that he wasn't saying he didn't want to meet her friends eventually, but not at their girl's bruch (i wouldn't have either). He probably knew he'd be under a microscope and bombarded with questions and it would be uncomfortable.Like she said, the sexual chemistry is there, but on other levels they just don't mesh. And a relationship can't survive on that alone. How sad were you for Doug knowing that he would eventually see how Jamie reacted to first seeing him? Poor guy. He said in one episode that he knows he's not attractive and I'm afraid that will make him feel even more down on himself or his looks. & Gawd, he's not that unattractive!!! imo. I actually think he's kind of cute and then his personality makes him really attractive. In my experience attractiveness is something that can develop even if not there from the start. It's the inside of a person that counts most. The rest of them becomes more beautiful when it starts on the inside. Jamie does seem like a kindhearted person and has been through a lot, so i'm glad he's growing on her and can't wait to see if they stick together or get a divorce at the end. I started to think that things might flip and he might become unsure of her and then she said that at the end of episode 4..... hm......only time will tell. IP: Logged |

I got a Taurus vibe from Jamie too from the beginning. I can see where you'd think Libra at first, so maybe it was a Venus ruled Sun we were picking up on. She was taking things really slow due to not being attracted to him, but also maybe it's because of a possible Taurus Sun. Now that she's opened up, she seems really warm. The other two that hit it off right away - the burlesque girl and the wrestler (forgot their names) seem promising. I'm guessing they are both heavily fire influenced in some way? I could see that one burning out quickly if they aren't careful or really ready to do the work. I sense that the guy is oftentimes thinking........"What have i gotten myself into?" and seems to want to pull back a bit, but i think he likes her a lot too. She seems 'all in'. This is a really interesting show. I like these kind of shows and studying people in real life situations. IP: Logged |

I was thinking about how important the courting process in relationships can be. Having skipped that part, how much might that hinder the success of their relationships? That "dance" between two people getting to know each other at the beginning stages is one of the best parts and seeing as they missed it and were thrown right into the serious stage I wonder if that is a good thing in the long run or not.Would anyone here be willing to do something like this if the opportunity was presented? And what is going on in your 7th house? IP: Logged |

What about when Jason took Courtney over the threshold by throwing her over his shoulder then turning around only to whack her head on the door. love it. oopsie!! hahaha ouch. Good that she wasn't really hurt and was laughing about it herself. What a fun memory to always have about their wedding night. If they ever buy a house together and he tries to do it again I hope she wears a helmet. IP: Logged |

^ That was hilarious...he acted like he had no idea he did it. Let's see, would I ever have tried to be on this show? I have an adventuresome Sag Venus, plus Uranus rules my (empty) 7H. So the idea is fun to play with, just as a crazy "what if??" game. Hmm...first of all, marriage aside, being on TV and having people talk about me and my physical shortcomings all over the internet sounds really enticing but I'd have to pass. MAYBE if it wasn't a TV/internet thing, and if a team of astrologers was behind the matchmaking, coupled with the common-sense evaluators who ask questions about finances and cleaning habits...maybe I would have been interested. But...probably not. Like most people, I just wanted to get to know someone before dating them....ho hum. Honestly I would be amazed if any of these couples lasted. Jason and Courtney both seem so controlled and lukewarm about everything... they're cute, but I wonder if they'll just bore each other to death? Doug and Jamie are fighting in one of the previews, I've been wondering what that's about? Maybe Doug's disapproving mom is a factor. I would hate to have a disapproving mother-in-law. But he seems more stubborn than he's letting on...that's where I see potential fall-out. He's super accommodating about most things but then has his boundaries surprisingly laid out and clear on other things. Reminds me of my brother (said that twice now) and my Aries cusp friend. If he makes enough money to make it worth her while to let him dominate sometimes, I think she might actually find that nice? Him being the strong, provider type, I mean. If he tries to dominate WHILE "leeching" off of her...that'll be a crisis maybe? She says in one of the previews that she's afraid of liking him more than he likes her, I think that's her seeing that he kinda...like, holds the power in the relationship. Just seems more steady. May be a function of him having a close-knit family to fall back on, too. Anyway, we'll just have to see! I agree, the show is intriguing, there's nothing else like it. I like to see what's going on in the backs of people's minds as they get involved. Seeing their faces in the moment and then their explanations of those same reactions later. Like, Jason looked calm when Courtney told him about her debt but then said later he was actually freaking out. Hmm! Wouldn't have thought his poker face was that good! Pretty sure Doug and Jamie are still married, sorry for the spoiler but it's only the gist one gets from searching for spoilers online, and I might be wrong. All three of the couples in the Danish version of the show got divorced, but some lasted several months...not bad for a blind date!

Yes! and he did know. He lost points with me when he didn't immediately put her down to make sure she was alright/was still conscious, or at least not have any gashes or an lump on her head. lol My sense about those two is that they don't have enough long term relationship experience and it's unlikely that they will last. quote: Hmm...first of all, marriage aside, being on TV and having people talk about me and my physical shortcomings all over the internet sounds really enticing but I'd have to pass. Yes, i meant it not being a TV thing, but having experts involved in matching one up. An astrologer thrown into the panel would be great too. Yes, i remember seeing something where Doug's mother didn't seem too keen on Jamie, which is understandable seeing how she reacted at the wedding and how obvious it was that initial attraction was not there for her. re: spoiler about them still being together. I kind of hope so and could see that as a definite possibility. But i cringe at the thought of him having to watch the show later and seeing the things she said about him. harsh. I'm leaning towards her being a Libra again. As soft as Doug seems to be it's clear that he's firm in what he wants out of life and a relationship and like you said, seems very steady in general. I didn't like it when Jamie pointed to her ring and said something like "This means i get to make all the rules." That was before she started falling for him and i thought....."Easy Jamie. Don't be a b*tch now. It's only day 3." lol I think there's much more to her than the somewhat shallow person she came across as initially. We share a lot of the same thoughts about the people and relationships on the show Faith. Might be back later to reply when i have more time. IP: Logged |

^ Thanks for talking about it with me! Yup we do see eye to eye here. I was wtf-ing Jason when he didn't put Courtney down after ramming her head into a wall...but then I thought, "He's an EMT, not mean, maybe he's so nervous he's not all there." Jamie = Libra I was thinking that again, too. She just seems airier than a Taurus. And Libra may be the partnership sign but my dad was a commitment-phobic Libra, so I know it happens. Maybe her Mercury is in Scorpio? Hmm. Just gonna overdo it like the awkward Cap I am and check out a possible chart for her...if she's third decan Libra like my dad, and will turn 28 this year... K, then she's got a Scorpio stellium with Mercury conjunct Venus, Pluto conjunct Ceres...Sag Saturn (wow exactly conjunct my dad's...was I onto something there? LOL) Sun conjunct SN, NN in Aries -> Destination: Selfish!!! j/k I like Aries a whole lot and would never point out how extremely selfish they all are. j/k again Gotta nice surprise for everyone who likes this show, and hasn't seen this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knRI2epKXHI ^^ Brides of Married at First Sight on The View, complete with spoilers! Yay! I have no idea what's making Jamie hold out so long to, ahem, consummate the marriage. Hopefully they will both become famous enough to get their charts on astrotheme one day, and then I can just be fully creepy and analyze them to my heart's content from afar. I forgot to comment on this yesterday: quote: In my experience attractiveness is something that can develop even if not there from the start. It's the inside of a person that counts most. LOL FaithA Scorpio stellium makes sense for Jamie. quote: I have no idea what's making Jamie hold out so long to, ahem, consummate the marriage. LOL. I think that's the Capricorn part of us - analyzing from afar. As to why she's holding out so long it probably has to do with relationship experiences from her past and childhood. I think i like her because i can relate to her story. It is probably just her nature to be cautious and take a long time to trust anyone. She's used to disappointment in her closest relationships. I watched the youtube spoiler, interesting they all still had their rings on! But they maybe were required to by the producers, to keep people watching til the end. If it weren't for Jamie and Doug I don't think I'd find the show quite as interesting. IP: Logged |

Yes, clearly "reality tv" is never 100% real. I notice on some other shows i watch how when the producers want to make someone out to be a villain or whathaveyou, they use all the worst footage of them to form that storyline. They have to make shows interesting and exciting to keep viewers, but we only ever get to see a small part of these people's pictures. And they are usually distorted. I think in this case and on most reality shows, they need to use people who film well, looks-wise and that they are comfortable in front of a camera. Not everyone has the type of personality that would work well for a reality show. So that's probably a big reason why these people were chosen. I'm not convinced they did it solely to promote themselves or careers, but they are all comfortable in an entertainer role and not awkward or shy in a limelight. So, it makes sense they were chosen. I wonder how many good-looking people in that age group haven't thought about capitalizing on their looks? Heck, I've even thought about turning my children into baby models when they were little and couldn't protest about what I was getting them into. Not for the fame/status, but the cash. (Sorry to brag but they were so CUTE!) Anyway. The one expert...Dr. Joseph something... said that the producers carefully designed all the prelimary steps in the casting process so that none of the prospective spouses knew it was going to be a reality show. They weeded out the fame-seekers, Dr. Joseph said. I am really skeptical but still trying to believe that he isn't also part of the duping effort. Also, to what T said. IP: Logged |

Me either. The other couples are interesting but if only I could just watch "The Doug and Jamie Show." I feel like I caught so much about Doug when they met at the altar, that's why my first reaction was, "Just marry him!!!" Makes me happy to think I sorta anticipated the direction it would take. Too bad I didn't place any bets way in advance, Uranus is conjunct my Jupiter and I mighta won $. Best part of the season so far, I think, is when Jamie and Doug are packing to leave and she tries on her veil asking how she looks. Gasp, the way Doug kissed her was like poetry in motion. Spot on perfect timing: set clothes down, give her a big smooch, go right back to packing like that was their everyday thing. I'm curious about why he was single for two years? Maybe he was holding out for a model, I dunno. Then again we don't know the full story, he might have weird quirks that drove away even the average-looking girls If so, I'm glad they aren't showing us what they are. I'm not wasting my time watching this stuff just so I can get an ugly dose of reality! Got enough of that already, living in the rat race. IP: Logged |

Yay!!! A birthday!!! Thank you! Well let's just repackage our Taurus-Libra guesswork so it looks like we were on track all along! lmao If she turned 28 this year...born June 21, 1986...possibly a Gem sun (air sign, like Libra) with a Sag moon (I thought Sag Mercury at first) and Scorpio Pluto of course. NN *close to* the Taurus cusp, a mere 2 degrees away. (That totally counts, I know ) SN *in* Libra where we thought we caught her sun. The chart for that date also has Leo Venus (aha! show biz!) in a promising trine with Sag Saturn, and Cancer Mercury opposing Cappy Mars (*smacks head* shoulda caught that one) explaining some of those sharp comments and dead-serious expressions that I was reading as Scorpio. Can you pretty please find Doug's birthday now? IP: Logged |

i luv u. Yes, that would be fun. Funny, now that starmoon mentioned it, I can see Gemini/Cancer for her. Interesting about her south node being in Libra and this being her second matchmaking show. Sounds like she's falling back onto what is familiar and maybe should be a bit more independent. I am opposite, with an Aries SN and Libra NN and find myself - while fascinated by and good in relationships, wanting to play it safe and stay comfortable in Aries roles of being independent, loner and going it on my own. Not to mention I have Saturn in the 7th so I take relationships seriously (except when 7th house Mars wants to do it's own thing...lol....the two in that house find interesting ways of playing out together and on their own). Both planets in Leo, so while i operate well or comfortably in relationships in general, other factors can put a damper on things and I'm just as fine .....and almost prefer being alone.

It's a fun one. I'm fascinated by the dynamics between people and love to observe their banter and the way they give and take and make it work. Not always easy in the kitchen. Forgot what else i wanted to say. May be back in a bit...
