They were carrying pro-trump, and anti-antifa signs. Antifa = anti-fascist.

Everyone who fought, and lived or died in world war 2, against Hitler, was anti-fascist. They were all antifa.

Wrong, like you always are. ANTIFA are domestic terrorists. Once you attack others, use violence, and destroy property, your message (if you have one) is lost.

Not a peep from you about ANTIFA getting violent and wearing masks to hide their identities.

Not wrong, the proud boys are domestic terrorists, that trump told to stand back and stand by.

Stop saying that I’m always wrong.

You're not clever. You're just ignorant.
NEWSFLASH: No one here supported any violent acts or destruction of property on Jan. 6. Your dictator-in-chief imprisoned hundreds of peaceful protesters who were simply standing around! The difference is that YOU even today, stood up for ANTIFA--who are always violent and destroy property. Hypocrite? Or just plain stupid? Or is violence okay when it's your guys?

No problem, Teasel, I’m actually learning a lot through these conversations. There’s so much anger in the U.S. A lot of people are at their wits end. There’s desperation. I didn’t know there was so much anger and that people would be so willing to take their frustration out on the perceived “other”. But in some ways it makes sense. Before WW2, Germans were feeling the squeeze from the debt of WW1. This was the breeding ground for the rise of fascism. They lashed out like caged rats.

The political polarization in the U.S. feels like such a set up to me. Most people want the same thing. A big middle class, livable wages, affordable education, affordable health care, less crime and less corruption. The people that don’t want this are the elites, the billionaires. They want to keep their power over people. Both parties are influenced by this group. But as long as people are angry at each other, they don’t look up.

What baffles me is how well Trump is able to manipulate this frustration towards the elite and project it onto his political opponents. To his supporters he is “a man of the people” while he has been part of the elite from the day he was born. He dodged the draft to Vietnam, he started a business with family wealth, his father was a known for dubious landlord, he was close to Epstein, he cheated on all his wives inclusief a pregnant Melania, he burried his ex on his golf course for tax breaks. In addition, he has really bad economic policies that cater to billionaires while those struggling are going to be squeezed even more.

I hope the people of the U.S. will see how much they’re being played by the elite. And instead of taking their anger out on each other, they focus on the real culprits. There’s a reason why Luigi is no longer in the news. They need you to fight each other.

What would it take, Randall? When does someone become a tyrant, a.k.a. someone who has no legal limits on his or her power by law or constitution? What line has to be crossed?

Calling President Trump a tyrant because you don't like him still doesn't make it true. The line is crossed when acts are unconstitutional--like Biden forgiving student loans. Then the courts step in--like the Supreme Court telling Biden he can't do that--which Biden ignored, making him arguably a "tyrant." So far, President Trump has been acting within his authority. A judge stayed President Trump's pause on grants and loans, but that was because there was a question as to which programs the pause applied to, so time was needed for clarification. It wasn't because the judge thought the pause exceeded President Trump's authority.

I’m afraid we will get to this point. He didn’t put his hand in the bible when he was sworn in. That was not a mistake. We will see how long it will take.

Forgiving student loans was not tyrannical behaviour. It helped people to afford things they need. To pay their other bills. Their rent, or mortgage, and to buy food. It was a huge weight lifted.

But billionaires shouldn’t have to pay their taxes, right?

Oh, please. There’s plenty of anger on your side. You guys spew hatred in here regularly, and “in real life”. You’re now happy because he’s hurting “the right people”. He campaigned on hatred. He fuels that anger. He takes no responsibility, and his supporters don’t want to, either.

Forgiving student loans was unconstitutional and beyond Biden’s authority. The Supreme Court ruled against him, and he still did it. That is tyranny.

A un principled president and a racist Musk is a fact. DEAI scraped, just as Hitler tried to eliminate gays and weak jews. Definitely Nazis have taken over this country

quote:

Recent reports have highlighted that Marko Elez, a 25-year-old engineer associated with Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), resigned after the emergence of past racist social media posts. One of these posts, from a now-deleted account believed to belong to Elez, stated, "Normalize Indian hate," targeting individuals of Indian descent. Other posts included statements like, "Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool," and expressed opposition to marrying outside his ethnicity.
THE ECONOMIC TIMES

Following these revelations, Elez resigned from his position. However, Elon Musk conducted a poll on X (formerly Twitter) asking if Elez should be reinstated, which received a majority of affirmative responses. Subsequently, Musk announced plans to rehire Elez, stating, "To err is human, to forgive divine."

Well that didn’t take long… JD Vance is already questioning the 3 executive branches that are part of the U.S. constitution.

JD Vance is correct. He is stating that the courts have no authority to question a President when he is acting under his legitimate power as president. The President IS the Executive branch--a co-equal branch of government.

Yet the president is not above the law. He cannot make laws, interpret laws nor can he decide how federal money is spent.
