and I'm going to tell you those reasons now. First off I have never heard a man Complain about being sexually objectified or getting checked out, we are generally ok with that . On the contrary Women always complain about being sexually objectified and getting checked out on a daily basis;they also complain about wanting to be seen for more then their body, so whats the problem with schools trying to push modest clothing that could cut down on this objectification and sexism that women complain about? Also you argue that women get distracted by men too, but wait a minute? I thought men were the horny shallow pigs who only care about looks and cant look past a womans body. atleast this is what many women and in fact most of society seem to think. So which is it ? are women just as sexual as men or is getting turned on by a sexy body strictly a male thing? I promote the first option even though male sexuality is shamed by soo many women that it is hard to believe at times . I know the whole clothing issue may seem
unfair but i think it shows that the schools are actually listening to girls complaints and concerns. Oh and I would imagine that you would see schools promote a strict dresscode for guys if guys were the ones complaining about being sexully objectified and felt threatened by womens sexuality. thats my view anyway.

Women don't want to be seen as strictly a sexual object, but she DOES want to be thought of as attractive, which often means sexy as well (for girls this can also be wanting to feel adult, but shouldn't be construed as an invitation). This is compounded by the messed up training females get growing up (by BOTH men AND women) that her entire purpose is to be the trophy of a man, while boys are learning to succeed and be heroes girls are encouraged to play "house" and with domestic duties, and movies aimed at us as girls tend to show girls as being pleasing to the guys, her purpose is to be claimed by a man (like when the Little Mermaid left her entire family for a guy she hadn't even met and she has to make him want her, and this is promoted as a good and even inevitable thing in the movie), and that she's a trophy to win, should be proud of the fact, and even that her value is tied up with his (just as her value is primarily her looks while his value is more in other terms, such as economic and/or social).

And btw, men aren't the only one to have a strong tendency to judge a woman by her appearance, women are notorious for it, too, it all comes with the training. Granted, females tend to punish overt sexuality so females generally have to walk a thin line with being pleasing to males (which means being desirable to them, but she typically doesn't want to be a piece of meat either) while not alienating females. Both genders also like to insult females they don't like by attacking their appearance, that is their self-worth, as well. Men are usually insulted and put down in other ways, however.

As for the visual, I disagree that women are just as visual as men. Granted, it's difficult to tell as we ultimately only know our own reality, but there are clues that this is not the case. One is that porn is a billion dollar industry and it's clientele is almost exclusively men (that a few women partake doesn't therefore mean that women in general are "just as visual" so save that fallacy). Looks matter, yes, but they're not the prime criteria for most women, they're A factor rather than THE key factor. I'm personally not visual at all, though I think I'm one of the exceptions, just as I think the women who drool over every hot guy or tight bicep is an exception to the rule (and likewise there are rare men who aren't visual, too). Granted, I can't tell you if this is biological (though there's at least some circumstantial evidence to say it IS biological, the way the typical male brain is wired and that it's less powerful in women) or cultural (women raised to view their self-worth in being a desirable trophy for men, which includes being sexy, and men being raised that they have to prove their masculinity and generally have a license to women's bodies, especially if she tempts him somehow) so that conceivably the very reverse would be true if the genders were raised with inverted standards.

And finally, why would men have to fear women's sexuality? They're not the gender that's constantly being sexually assaulted and raped (at least not by women). (ETA: there are very rare exceptions of that, but even then it's usually very different than how our LL exception to that rule is, so no need to share about that again as it doesn't disprove the general rule. If you want to disprove it then by all means show a similar pattern with FBI stats and the like.)

Well sweetie you seem to hsve missed my ppsts then. Including the OP here! This rule was not made to protect the girls but the boys, whose inability to concentrate is apparently because of those "hussies" wearing tight pants. In other words, like muslims, females have to obliterate their sexuality because "men are like dogs".

And GIRLS are expected to concentrate despite the tight pants the boys are still allowed to wear...you think boy's legs don't excite girls, think again.

I'm not trying to say boys and girls are the same, nut they should be equally given responsibility fpr self-control.

Or do you agree that women are superior to men?

Il break this pretty dream.
I know a lot of woman who are my close friends and believe me they do objectify men....they are just mor private zbout it and they discuss it in their private circles instead of showing it outright.

Also one might think that society actually made men that way by creating a specific "musculine" image many man try to follow, and that very same "boys will be boys" treatment that makes them think they can do whatever they want.

Wow.
Really?
I have known and know quite a few men who do NOT appreciate being sexually objectified or getting checked out.

Uhm, not really, what I mean by that is some people one chats with are really just wastes of time so to speak.

As for Lexxi/AG's discussion, AG, it does get rather old tbh, and it is not just appearance.

My sales background means I can hold a conversation with pretty much everyone, from a junkie male prostitute to a president of a company who plays ice hockey to a trauma nurse who wants to blow off steam.

The problem then becomes they just want to talk talk talk when sometimes one just wants to be left alone to your thoughts.

You know now a days i think guys are needing to be told what they shouldn't wear more then girls.

Even when i was in high school...i witnessed so many guys wearing their pants down to their ankles showing everyone their boxers...not to mention their hairy behinds to the world.I've seen way to many butts in my time more then i ever wanted to see,yes i'm scarred because of it.Just nasssty!!!

And what about the emo guys...why don't they tell them to wear pants that are baggier.Maybe then master harold and the boys can get some fresh air...don't these kids know what damage they're causing what's going to happen when they want kids in the future.

Ah youth wanting their own freedom but yet beyond brains. But damn i'm sick and tired of the double standard already, girls shouldn't do this and that or wear this and that just because guys can't control their own hormones oh please spare me this malarkey. It makes it sound like all men are pigs...which is listen to me...a total lie!
