*sigh okay since you asked quote: Originally posted by aquaguy91: Let me ask you something. Would you agree that there are certain things that most women keep to themselves and dont discuss around men? If you don't you are lying....
Sure, some of them i guess. I can't speak for ALL women. In my case my guy friends and i were pretty open w/ one another. I've heard it all and then some. Most of them knew they didnt have to hold back around me! quote: Well men do the same thing and this is one of those things. If you could be a fly on the wall for man talk you would realize that a lot more guys would agree with me than you think. Just look at the internet.... Men post in forums about it,blog , and make youtube videos about it. It's everywhere![/B]
Dude. i've worked in tattoo shops as a fellow artist, equal, remember? Been the only female surrounded by all men who don't hold back AT ALL. I also grew up w/ a brother and his friends. Once again, i've heard it all. i want to type more to give you examples, but i'm afraid it would be pointless. And i'm tired of you using that excuse. i don't need to be a fly on a wall in a room of men. Men arent the mysterious, inherently crass creatures you make them out to be - or only able to be aholes around each other when no females are in earshot, k? and don't tell me i don't or could never understand, being a girl, again. Here's my chart, AG. Conjunct Suns but I remember you have Sun conjunct Saturn and I have an opposition between these two, so I know about "keeping it real".

Another layer of the issue is the obvious fact that most men just don't discuss their problems and emotions, they hold it all in. As a double aqua with a 3rd house moon and mars I don't have that issue. My aqua placements give me the ability to not care what others think and my 3rd house moon and mars make me very vocal about what I think and feel. My third house moon makes me a therapist in a way because people feel comfortable talking to me. When I get around guys they notice that I'm very vocal and honest about what I feel and think and they in turn feel comfortable doing the same around me. I have seen the sides of guys that nobody ever sees. Guys will be very open and expressive if you actually listen. That's why it's funny to me when women complain about men being cold or emotionless and bad communicators.lol

Well, that is one thing we have in common. Except i have the psychologist 8th house moon & Pluto. People open up easily and quickly to me too. I'm a better listener than talker. IP: Logged |

Apart from our florishing careers, both of us have other plans to fulfill and experience within our lives. And we have bigger plans waiting ahead of us. We recently gotten our M (Motorcycle) Licenses and plan on doing a Inter-Province Road trip across Canada this spring (I'll share pictures of it on this board when we do ,) We wanna travel around the world atleast once in our life time and I personally want to a HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) jump atleast once in my lifetime. I guess what I am trying to say is that, being a parent is a full time job and all our attention will be focused on the kids and kids alone. And as of now, that doesn't settles well with us . Sex is amazing and an addiction and both of us aren't going to be quitting cold turkey till we are atleat 90 , but you can sure bet that we are sticklers when it comes to protection Lol! IP: Logged |

It wasnt always this way Kero. *faraway look in eyes* lol Yes, it's certainly become weird in that way now, unsafe feeling and people don't want to share like they used to here. Too uncomfortable now. Someone's always waiting in the bushes to attack - either here or behind your back. So most know better and stay on the surface now. It's unfortunate. Used to be so different....ten years or so ago. IP: Logged |

Kerosene - T is right about the assessment of this forum. I was here from 2006-7 and it was very different from 2008-9 and different now. It seems there's more and more fighting going on and I feel I can't bond with people anymore. In 06-7, it was really laid back and friendly and I assume that things just go in cycles.IP: Logged |

Well that's nice, that it used to be a better forum. I feel like the current crowd just got graded with an F, however, and that makes me feel like some great people who hang out here are being underrated, and not getting acknowledgement for the good that they do. So, just throwing in a rainbow... to help the vibes here this morning. IP: Logged |

23, Thank you. I'm not wise. I'm just older. I come from a different era and carry a different perspective not just from those in their 20s-30s, but also different from those my age. I come from a part of the world that places different pressures on men and women, I have been somewhat conditioned to unconsciously fulfilling those expectations. Things are defined differently, as is the evaluation of outcomes. The articles that you posted do hit home, except that the perspective is carried to higher extremes in my case. "The key to keeping a man faithful, it seems, is for him to earn a third more than his wife," quoted from http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1303563/House-husbands- times-likely-cheat-wives.html#ixzz2pucD6xH5. Except that I earned several times my wife when I met her (and she was a company officer), and now would likely earn several times more if she carried on her career. This is controversial to say the least. I stand in opposition to the majority of viewpoints espoused here, but I'll continue on my merry journey.
