Lelouch vs. Light... Oh I would LOVE to see an anime where these two face off against each other. It will be an all out Battle Royale of wits with plenty of back stabbings, deception, treachery and cunning plans.

Well we were talking about the darker side of Anime in their first page of this thread and I did mention Hentai as a huge black mark when it comes this particular style of animation .

Its quite interesting that one of the most safest and developed societies in this world is, at the same time, so sexually repressive.

http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2013/08/31/national/married-o r-single-japan-is-a-desolate-country/#.U1Ba4fldW0U

And that leads to some seriously wacky imaginations and fantasies .

So I am making the most out of being bed ridden for the day (I am sick as a Dog: ) So I decided that Catching up with my anime episodes sees like the most counter-productive like Productive thing to do .

I nominate No Game No Life and this year's anime to beat.

Smart, funny, and interesting. This series has won me over. I mean seriously, a game of chess where you can seduce the opposing queen to your side?! What a Libra thing to do .

Can't wait for the next episode!

Some amazing lines from Episode 3:

"With great power comes greater responsibility? Bull****. With great power comes greater possibility!"

"Huh? You think we're retards who just sit around and wait for the enemy?"

"You king and queen! Get your ***** to the front line!"

"By my authority as king, anyone who fights valiantly in this battle will earn the right to bang any woman they like!"

Yes, ofc. That's an emotional scene from Fate/Zero - the ending of a chapter, which revolves around Kiritsugu Emiya's growth under the influence of his senpai (mentor) Natalia Kaminski.

It's a very sad scene (one of many - but that's to be expected of Fate/Zero) from that episode - cause Natalia's in the plane at the end and he's faced with a heavy choice...a choice between his senpai (also his closest friend - even family) and the greater good (the life of others - many others, though - strangers). Here's the original version (might make more sense): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Uhh9Tj4iTg

Natalia Kaminski - was the second person to which he got emotionally attached - after the loss of his childhood friend Shirley (he shouts her name at the end) - a friend to whom he was very close (and happy), so... her death and the traumatic circumstances in which it occurred - lead to an emotional blockage - which give him the capability to suppress his emotions (for most part - at least). Though, the intensity of his emotions were stronger than that blockage at the end.

Even though the original scene was really sad - with the girls from K-on added to the mix - it's quite hilarious! Kinda like - mixing "Game of Thrones" with "Happy go Lucky"! ^^
Don't worry, it was "just an act" - the girls are safe and sound.

Yet, that's just a scene from one episode - a small puzzle piece that's far from being representative for Fate/Zero - more like, representative for its psychological and philosophical nature - with a touch of gore - as an immersion between fantasy and reality. It has a medieval side to it as well - which placed an emphasis on all kind of characters and events from human history and mythology - but, it does that with a twist of events. ^^

For example: King Artur - so called King of the Knights, is a female character in Fate/Zero - which goes by the name of "Arturia Pendragon" - but her personality and her sense of honor is defining for one who was known as "Joan of Arc".

She remind me of Clare from Claymore:

Though, personality wise - i could identify her in a lot of animes, even one I've seen more recently: "Attack on Titan" - the main female character: "Mikasa Ackerman"

...and I'll stop here - cause i probbaly tapped in to my Gemini energy and i could go on like this till...

Mikasa Ackerman has so much potential to be the leading awesome character in Attack on Titan but unfortunately, the writers of the series just had to add on that annoying brother complex to her personality, thereby crippling her chances to taking the top lead of being the ultimate badass in the series (a spot that Levi currently holds.)

Anyway, I am currently finishing up with the Jormungand series:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvBMoNCaitU

And I gotta say, I am impressed as hell; Biased added in the fact that this series hits way too close to home and is pretty much a reflection of the life I have left behind me. A lot of the themes covered in this anime bring back memories; Some good... Some bad...

But putting my personal opinion aside, this is a good series for those who want to see a more balanced and realistic position of the world and its dealings with politics, wars, weapons, and soldiers. Sort of like an anime version of Lord of War.

This little girl has become warped from watching Tangled (Rapunzel):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NydQD5Qftus

Can you imagine what she'd be like if she watched anime? Sure, it's easier to keep the katana from the little girl than a frying pan, but what about anime as this?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoNxbSRWdaM

Better yet, Bludgeoning Angel, one that I'm sure could teach many Orthodox Christian girls that just because you bash out the brains of your friends with a club when they annoy you doesn't mean you're not a good person.

Fun experiment of anime girls dancing to random music! (To about 8:39, and notice it starts close to the 8 minute mark so it's not much)

So I was invited by a friend of mines to check out this year's Anime North Expo with her. What is Anime North? Well its a purely Canadian Anime Expo that allows fans and new comers alike to get a taste of Anime and what it has to offer. Furthermore, this Expo also showcases highlights from up coming animes as well so you get a chance to see sneak previews of new and up coming anime series.

And it wouldn't be an Expo without Parties, Masqurade Balls, and Showcasing of Cosplays .

I took the Liberty of taking a few pictures of some talented cosplayers to share with you guys. The models are always so nice.

As everyone knows, Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, so that trumps everything IMHO.

Personally speaking... I am not holding my breath. There should come a time where writes should just sit back and ask themselves; Is it REALLY ok to revive a series that ended itself off on a positive note and created a cultural phenomenon? The prequels have pretty much proven that Star Wars fans aren't exactly happy with the idea of the series being revived again.

What makes Disney think that they can do better if George Lucas himself failed to capture the hearts of the fanbase of his own beloved movie franchise?

After this you'll agree Star Wars is better as an anime:
