But I'm sad to say it didn't go well. In fact I didn't even get to interview with him at all. My Skype software glitched, he waited 5 minutes for me then exited the conference. HR tried contacting him for the next 2 hours to no avail. I emailed HR at 430pm to ask for a reschedule as it was getting late and I had night classes last night from 630-1030 so interviewing is impossible, schedule wise on my end. So far no response from HR yet... He probably flaked on HR completely again and HR will have to pester him continuously next Monday for a shot at rescheduling. It is really terrible because even the interview confirmation (exact time), he only gave it yesterday on the day itself in the morning while HR tried contacting him for confirmation for the past 2 weeks.

That aside, I am thinking it was for the best. Because I was so sleep deprived yesterday and also nerve wrecked after HR sent me the confirmation email with the Skype link and I realised his the vice president of the treasury department (we don't follow the US bank system where almost all managers are VP, basically his the 2nd largest man in the whole global treasury department. I actually had and still have no idea why someone as important as him is wasting his time interviewing someone like me for a mere internship position at 3pm on a Friday). I was literally freaking out so so bad in the morning at 1030am when I received the email, after only sleeping for 3 hours in 2 days. I guess his position explains why his so damn self important.

In all honesty the first round "interview" with HR was more of a background check where she confirmed my details and she said "we are interested to enlist you as one of our candidates" within 2 minutes. Everything really feels too good to be true. I'm literally starting to think that this was all a prank.

Anyways I am hoping for another chance at an interview with him as it would be such a GREAT, once in a lifetime opportunity to be working directly under someone as "great" as him. Although I am honestly also appalled by this treatment, the way he treated HR and well.. me. My friends are all like "red flags, red flags, red flags everywhere". Do you think I should work for someone like that, Mirage? It's honestly terrific prospects, possibly instant career advancement since I will be his direct hire but his personality is really...

Seriously, the incident really turned me off in all honesty. How did someone like him become the VP of a key department in my country's oldest and largest bank?

Anyways...I drew tarot cards yesterday, the top card was 4 of Pentacles (very money card) so - wealth, stability, security but also fear of scarcity, of letting go while and the bottom shadow card was Wheel of Fortune indicating greater things are to come. A "fated opportunity" indeed. Saturn glitched my system because he felt my preparation was insufficient and I needed to be in a better mental state with sufficient sleep in order to properly utilise the opportunity, and Jupiter would bless me with a second shot at the interview next week when I am much more prepared.

I will continue to believe that the Universe works in mysterious ways for me, helping me bring my goals and self into alignment.
That everything is for the best.
