Did a tarot reading for my baby- to set my mind at ease. All pregnant mothers want everything to be ok, the less worry the better! I first did an angel card reading- a quick one- I got SEKHMET. "BE STRONG", your strength ensures a happy outcome. That was a great card to get. Very happy with that. My angel cards predicted my pregnancy too. So I really enjoy using them. In my Tarot reading I got Judgement which indicates great change, and rising out of the past and into the new. All good, also the Babies future card indicated that it will be a boy, I also got Page of Swords. "has the mental outlook and philosophy of a child, and he is constantly fascinated with matters of the mind. This is not to imply by any means that he is childish and immature; indeed, he is probably the most mature and mentally developed of the four Pages. He may not realize his full power at the moment, but he knows how to use what he has discovered to the best of his ability. Like all the Pages, the Page of Swords will manifest in your life either as an event, another person or as a part of yourself that needs to be awakened. As an event, the Page of Swords deals with insight and perception, and use of one's inherent mental powers. Due to its assocations with subtlety and even espionage, the Page of Swords can show either the commencement of an act of spying, or the detection of a spy. "Spy" in this sense can be taken in many ways: someone who is interested in you or in someone else, somebody who is doing research or gathering information, or in rare cases, someone who wants to do someone else harm. But since the more positive side of the Swords is inherent in the Page, this last interpretation is uncommon and only in rare cases is it not eliminated right away. A person shown by the Page of Swords will have a good balance between mind and heart; his emotions will not rule him but he will not have to think over every single decision he makes. He is the ideal emissary or ambassador since he seizes and exploits all opportunities that arise. He quickly adapts to changing circumstances and is gifted with eloquent speech. Unlike some of the "older" Swords court cards, the Page always expresses his true feelings, though he is always able to camouflage his true intent if he wants to. When he decides to throw away diplomacy and call things like he sees them, prepare for a serious reality check. Awakening these qualities in yourself can have many advantages. The Page of Swords uses his blade to cut straight to the heart of a matter, ridding the area of cobwebs and red herrings that might lure you astray. His appearance is often a challenge, to expand your mind and look at things in new ways that you hadn't thought of before. If you have been unable to see all the aspects of a situation, the Page will show you how, and aid you in uncovering that which is less than obvious. Understand the problem that you face, and in the process of learning you will often find an answer. Expand your mind, learn how to do new things and have fun doing them. Seek out the truth, regardless of the consequences, and try to become more adept in the use of your mind." IP: Logged |

Just listened to Elena, on conscious birthing. Nice and timely, thanks to Matt & Angela. http://riverbender.com/rawspirit/elena.wav The c-section rates make me sad. We have learned to be so afraid of pain. Having a natural birth where possible turns a woman into a mother quite swiftly, (the birth of the mother too.) If there is too much intervention, the process is drawn out, even more painful emotionally, (ie.PPD). I like her description of conception btw, I could listen to Elena all day. Elena is making me so excited to give birth again- i think this time i will be able to go deeper into the pain more so than last time. Great interview! Everyone should know (when a women is about to give birth for the first time she has been exposed to over a hundred of horrifying births, through films, tv shows, sex ed, a deliberate conditioning), everyone is taught it should be terrifying. So sad. But Elena is waking women up one by one. ♥ IP: Logged |

She also talked about conscious conception- which is what happened with us. And the importance of communication with the spirit. SO far the pregnancy is good, I'm in the phase of the second tri, so no more sickness, and getting energy back, feeling good in general. Saw the baby on ultrasound just briefly, my nice doctor just wanted to take a peak with me for a brief moment, nothing diagnostic or sex determination though. It was nice to see the little baby moving around a lot, and I am also feeling the movements daily, some days a lot, and some days not so much. I started feeling them around 15 weeks. It's now nearly 19 weeks. IP: Logged |

This is so wonderful that you are aware of the fact that the birthing process is not "pain" it's about the end, and you have the beautiful person in your arms, and they look at you like you are the source of ALL.Plus, the pain, I guess I never really noticed, you could call it that, though personally I wouldn't. It's like watching the tide come in. slow and soft at first, and then building, until it ebbs back to soft and slow, and then, voila! Hugs to you both! ------------------ We cannot seek or attain health, wealth, learning, justice or kindness in general. had first ultrasound. measuring 19 weeks girl with 10 fingers and 10 toes, so we were wrong about it being a boy. lol so much for the pendulum!!! everything looks great, cute profile but she seems to have kidney cysts on the left side. dont think there is a need to worry, things like that can resolve on their own. so im chilling out until i have reason to suspect anything different. here's a pic from today my cute little baby girl:

EDITED-28/06/10 original article removed. Peace On Earth Begins With Birth
The quality of our civilization largely depends on the way we procreate. The way we arrive into this world defines our capacity for love, compassion, intimacy. Conscious conception and birth are an integral part of conscious living. When parents create a new baby in full awareness of the effect their actions and thoughts have on their unborn child, humankind is given another chance to thrive. The quality of our life is defined, first of all, by the quality of attention and love received while we are still in our mother's womb! Secondly, the life is defined by the quality of our birth itself. There is an overwhelming body of evidence that birth trauma is responsible for addictions, violence, low self-esteem, poor problem-solving skills, short attention span and a host of physical health problems... Non-traumatized babies, who are conceived and born in love, display an amazing degree of intelligence, kindness, common sense and good health. As they grow they prove them selves to be good communicators, peaceful, caring, alert, self-motivated human beings. Natural birth does require some preparation nowadays, for attention to the art of birthing has been in decline for many generations. In tribal life it was supposed to be a mother's gift to her daughter, a natural obvious transmission. But with the modern day stress level and easy access to drugs, in the US 95% of births are considered traumatic. 50% rated as moderate trauma, 45% of them are rated as severely traumatic. Our species has an amazing built-in mechanism for procreation. Our bodies are designed to reproduce naturally, with grace and ease. To be able to relax in a bath tub during labor was found extremely helpful by millions of women. However, water birth by itself does not guarantee the degree of consciousness, of non-trauma, that we desire and deserve. We, as spiritual beings, have the capacity to experience the transformative power of birth that connects us with deeper understanding of life. When a new human being that did not exist before, enters into our world, the veil separating our reality from the Great Unseen becomes very transparent for a short period of time. This gives us an opportunity to experience, first hand, the ecstatic bliss of ONENESS with all, a state in which separation does not exist, where Love prevails. When Love is an integral part of the birthing field, a woman has access to the power of creation that is working through her. The more power there is in her field the less force she will need to use, because Love is a highly coherent field. And visa versa: the less power she has, the more force it would require to deliver a baby. In the beginning every one of us was a tiny infant - speechless, vulnerable, in desperate need of love and care. In our soft, warm hands we are holding the keys to the thriving of our species! We have the capacity to enhance the quality of life in one generation through bringing our loving, conscious awareness into our people-making practices. Birth is a powerful initiation, a rite of passage for all involved, which enables us to create a beautiful Life on this planet. It is our birthright!" http://www.birthintobeing.com/ IP: Logged |

Thankyou so far it looks my baby has multicystic kidney (the left one- the other one is healthy), I have no idea why or how, apparently it begins with urine blockage while the kidney is developing and then cysts grow in place of the kidney, in some cases the kidney doesnt function well or ceases to function and the other kidney does the job of two. The prognosis is good though, people still go on to be normal active and healthy, so I am not passing out with anxiety, just a little disappointed that has come about for the bub though. It happens to 1 in 4000 babies. I wonder what the undercurrent spiritual/karmic reason is? The kidney represents our ancestory, mother and father, left and right, hmm.. I wonder...anyhow, it was a surprise to hear that, going in for level 2 scan later so they can see the status of that kidney, I the cysts just resolve on their own.

update22 weeks (i really find it weird counting the weeks... ) let's say I'm nearly 5 months pregnant) Movement is becoming more regular (yay). Now bonding more with this wiggle worm. Getting level 2 ultrasound on the 10th to check on those kidneys- but I'm sure its all fine. I don't feel a need for concern. I'm still convinced they got the gender wrong. I would like a second opinion. Currently I'm listening to a conscious birthing talk, and then later will be watching a show with Nassim, talking about "event" horizons and consciousness, I think it's good to absorb empowering stuff whilst in this state of creation. So far so wonderful! IP: Logged |

updates:now almost 26 weeks I think. The level 2 ultrasound showed large cysts in the left kidney- they were quite big and I was shocked to see such a large mass in the ultrasound, but I was reassured that there was no reason to worry. Apparently they shrink by the end of the pregnancy. Either the kidney will be alright or will dissolve with the cysts. Other than that I couldn't ask for a nicer pregnancy- the baby is moving a lot and feeling the Love. It's a beautiful time. IP: Logged |

progress update:so had a check up yesterday- measuring 29 weeks! Baby moving a lot and heartbeat is perfect. Her head is down and in my pelvis, always good to know! ~ Tahlea was in that position the entire pregnancy so I never had to wait for her to flip. The last ultrasound showed large cysts in the left kidney- and they want to check on the kidney again tomorrow- I also would like to see what changes are happening. I want to keep the regular ultrasounds short and only to measure the kidney, I used to be against ultrasounds but I instinctively knew I needed one, so as long as they serve their purpose and not used unnecessarily, Im now ok with it. We should always follow maternal instincts. This time I took a glucose tolerance test, as I am curious about blood sugar levels. I doubted that I had GD (gestational diabetes), but I did have abnormal blood sugar levels, a diet high in fruit, juices, and sweet vegetables can be just as bad as eating too many sweets when it comes to glucose tolerance. So I'm cutting back on most of my sugar intake and going to get another test in a week. I am also putting on weight far too quickly and I know glucose is the culprit. I spoke to my midwife and assured her I knew what I needed to do to normalize my levels. So have a few diet changes to make, mainly low glycemic, gluten free, low fruit, low sweet veg, more greens and savory foods, no refined sugars or carbs, unsweetened yogurt, cinnamon supplements. Anyway just putting it out there- in case it helps anyone. ------------------ the ideas for creating something beautiful are unlimited - Rachel Weitzova IP: Logged |

I just realized in 7weeks I will be full term, which means I could go I to labor any time after that. So close now. After my ultrasound yesterday I found out there was no change to the kidney, meaning it is still dysplastic but it won't cause any harm to the bub, and following birth I can wait until she is a month old before her kidney is to be scanned, that alleviates post birth worries and hassles. My birth plan is quite simple, grounded and well thought out. I will have my partner and a couple of midwives assisting me in the delivery. Unassisted birth does not feel right for me as I enjoy the company and support of others. It will take place in a hospital but my birth plan being priority. I'm going all natural method again, being In a hospital birth suite makes me feel secure and comfortable. I won't be giving my newborn any vit k injection or vaccines, I decided to take oral vit k myself to super power my breast milk, although I don't buy into the fear of the vit k hysteria, I understand the need for ample supply of it in breast milk, I do not believe it needs to be injected. I would like to go home asap after birth and recover In my own bed. I am ready for the big day and look forward to being in my power. The midwives were so impressed with my first birth, I was the talk of the ward for a while, no screaming and whining, I did a superb job, and I believe It can be done even smoother next time. Birth is a marvelous experience, every moment should be savored. IP: Logged | |
