Aww! You NEED to be with each other, that's so sweet! Leo men are clingy !!!

My husband and I don't yell very often, we both have Mercury-Mars-Pluto (he's got a stellium, I have a wide grand trine), so we just convey a lot of...

...well, is demonic too strong a word???

Kidding, kidding...but a lot of tension does come out from time to time. Our nodal axises (I'll bet it's really "axii," but I don't want to sound snooty) are conjunct in Scorpio, in our respective and composite 4th houses. So, intensity at home is part of the deal.

On better days, it's like the Jethro Tull song Fire at Midnight.

He and I decided to get married after one date. See? I used to be even crazier than I am now. Because I KNOW that if I were ever single again, I would NOT get engaged after one date. But back then...

Apparently, I would.

I had another question for you, Violets, but haven't taken enough Gingko Biloba today and I lost it. Hmm...

Things are pretty wild! I've been tempted to just leave LL for a while, since I keep getting tongue-tied and feeling out of sorts, but these transits are pummeling me (I have a natal cardinal t-square in the mid degrees) and I come here to take a load off.

So that's why I'm still on the loose in these forums.

Have to go put the kids to bed though.

G'night!

^ Ahahahaha...!

You know what's funny, though?
I had scoffed at the idea of marriage entirely throughout my adult life, and was fairly cautious about things like moving in with a significant other, etc.

But when I met my husband, we had only been hanging out for about a week, and he had randomly applied for a job in Alaska. He asked me if I would go with him if he got the job, and I was like "Yeah, let's go!"

I wouldn't even live in the same apartment with my ex of ten years, after one experience of doing so with him, haha. But I would move to Anchorage with my husband after knowing him for a short time.

We had only been together for about two months when we just packed it all up and moved to some random place together.

But... We have some odd connections in our synastry.

Gahh! Seriously. Yes, Ellyn and I have been talking about that Uranus business (and Pluto too, but that hasn't seemed so terrible thus far). I also have what would be a cardinal T-square if I counted a 9 degree orb as a square, with Saturn and Pluto right at 12 and 8 degrees. Thankfully my early Aries Venus has been left in peace for a while...

Good night to you as well!

Ha ha. Yes, actually...something very similar, anyway.

I'll probably have to poof back soon, as it's almost time for him to go to bed.

In other news...
I keep pondering that stupid Karma asteroid, the 12th house, and the Nodes as of late.

There is just not enough information on those things for me.

LOL! That's great! My husband and I used to have as our motto, "When you know, you know." People were appalled that we were getting married when we barely knew each other...but hey, when you know, you know!

So, chalk this up as one of our similarities...the Uranus-ruled DSC and its lightning-quick, brilliant flashes of understanding about who to spend our lives with?

And THIS is the question I couldn't remember last night...you mentioned on another thread that you have Uranus conjunct the IC. I think I have that, too...depending on what orbs people use, and my exact birth time which is a mystery still.

But the readings for Uranus conjunct IC match me perfectly. Do they fit, for you? Did you split with your family or buck their traditions somehow? My big act of rebellion was not joining the Catholic church.

If you're up for explaining, I'm very curious!

I don't have my husband's exact birth time either, but I know that in composite we have an exact Mars-Juno conjunction (3 minute orb) in Cancer near our ASC, tightly sextile Virgo Pluto-Uranus. Pluto is sextile Juno to the minute. Mars-Juno is also trine Scorpio Mercury-Neptune. So...we have this cradle with six planets involved. Yet Mars-Juno is square our Libra Venus and sun.

When we got together, transiting Pluto was conjunct his Saturn and my Venus. How could we NOT have rushed to the altar, all things considered? LOL

Oh and thank you for mentioning Karma, you reminded me that I have more investigating to do with that, myself.

Have a nice day, girls!

Ha ha! That's something that my husband and I also say.

Ugghh. Yes, I do have Uranus conjunct my IC. It does fit, and they both square my Mars.

I rebelled against my family in every conceivable way, really. My mom and step-dad placed great value on making money, regardless of how they treated people, and I was of course repulsed by that, with the Pisces/Neptune vibe and all. I also grew up in a very small, rural town in the middle of nowhere, so I didn't exactly jive with the thoughts of the people around me.

My political, spiritual, and general philosophy are the complete opposite of almost everyone in my family. But I always valued my grandma's input. She was a wise Virgo, and was always a comfort for me.

Ermm...My Isis is conjunct my husband's Osiris (less than 1 degree, I think), his NN is conjunct my DC, my NN is conjunct his Neptune in 12th, and my SN conjunct his Saturn.
We both have Yods (born different years, so not the type that you see in people who were born a few days apart). My Vertex is conjunct his Moon, the apex of his Yod, and his Ceres is conjunct my Saturn, the apex of my Yod...

His Vertex/Venus conjunction trines my Venus/Ceres conjunction...and a bunch of asteroid stuff that I don't understand, but is probably significant.

Ha...I had better get going too, or I will probably look up to find some sort of heinous disaster involving toilet paper rolls draped all over the house or something to that effect. My son and his Aries stellium... *sigh*

Woot!
I'll have to go back and look at some of those charts later, ha.

So, uh...I'll go ahead and edit out my crazy full moon-induced spiel. Hooray for having a Sun/Moon opposition that squares my Nodes.

But here's my mellow tribute to Uranus and this stupid full moon. On the (semi) optimistic side...

I hope you can see it, Ellyn! I think we all might appreciate this one, for our own reasons.

But if you DID spew, that's fine, I will just return the favor later tonight when I have more time to write.

I think the full moon, following that New Year's new moon, is just making people restless, trying to live up to their resolutions? I was running around hectic today, too, as if I have some kind of deadline...have to bake a cake! Clean the playroom! Pair together the 1,000 socks I washed last week and haven't paired together yet!

Ugh, I still can't bring myself to do the socks. :/

Anyway...I was smiling at your description of your son. He sounds cute! Though I know that "naughty" is cutest when the little guy is maybe asleep or not throwing toys everywhere? That's how I feel about my Cancer son. He's a Rat and talks nonstop at high volume (Leo rising.) He's so adorable but I spend half the day thinking, "HOW can anyone talk SO MUCH?" And my three year old is the same...gorgeous little bundle of trouble!

Still, don't you love when your husband takes your son out? I love when my husband takes our kids out.

Thanks for answering my IC-Uranus question. I'm believing in astrology more and more all the time. And...is your Mercury in the 6H? Mine is...I think that's why I'm into natural medicine. And I see you in Health and Healing so I assume you have the same interest?

Your synastry with your husband looks great! I love Ceres contacts, and I love neat geometry like yods.

One more question, for both of you...

Have you noticed any uncanny similarities between your children's charts and your parents'? My one son's chart looks so much like my dad's...then another son has some startling similarities too.

For example, my middle son and my father:

Sun conjunct sun, 1 degree orb
And both have sun conjunct Mars
Both Scorpio Mercury
Both Virgo Venus
Dad's Pluto conjunct son's Saturn
Son's Saturn conjunct Dad's Pluto

Then, my youngest son has Jupiter-Uranus in late Pisces on his ASC; my father also had Jupiter-Uranus in late Pisces. I wonder if it was on his ASC, too?

It's like bits and pieces of our ancestors, lingering in our children.

Well I guess I've rambled enough..

See you around!

I've never looked at aspects in my parents' charts, and aspects in my son's chart. Hmm...

He is a sweet, kind little soul. But wow...that Aries stellium is a lot some days. There is no way that little guy is going to play quietly by himself. If he is, I had better go and see what he's doing.

Yes, I do have Mercury in 6th, conjunct my DC/POF.

I do love the homemade stuff and natural as opposed to synthetic.

I've been meaning to ask both of you as well--have either of you had any success with homemade laundry detergent or soap?!

I followed the instructions for the homemade laundry detergent for a year, and it never got the milk smell out of my son's clothes, or the damp smell out of towels, so I stopped doing it.
I really dislike buying laundry detergent and dish soap.

My clothes were always fine, but other things that held a stronger odor never smelled clean.

I'm rambling, haha. I'll be so pleased when this full moon is over with!

Faith--your response in Sweet Peas!
I was going to post this there, but decided to bring it back here, ha.

Wow, we do have a lot in common. That's basically how it goes for us as well. We know we can't be screwing up too badly when we have a giggling, snuggly little boy who hops into bed with us with his duckies and gets tickled and kissed until he's giggling hysterically.

Most days have their ups and downs, but at the end of the day (and throughout it) we all know that we love each other.

Thanks for reminding me of that.
