^^ Hahahha.

Really, though...I prefer that my company be friends or family, and people I trust. I am rather hermit-like in that sense. Or just wary from living in the city for so many years.

In other good news, we got a fire going in the stove. Ahhhh...

I refuse to let my husband do anymore work on the house, except for minor stuff. He gets super stressed out about it with his job weighing on him, and he ends up injuring himself because his Sag ASC won't be bothered to take basic precautions (like wearing knee pads if he's going to be kneeling on the floor all day, or wearing a particle mask, etc.).
He's also impossible to deal with while he's doing it, so we just decided to have other people come in and do some of it for us.

It's been a hassle, but I think we're almost done (if not completely).

So...we've had to put up with a few strangers. Me and the little guy usually hole up in the bedroom and play until they leave. But my husband always works from home on the days when there are going to be strange men wandering around in the house.

Boy, I sound like a typical paranoid Neptunian, don't I?!

I just like my home to myself.

I'm not scared, but I'm solitary. Actually, it may be the Virgo Planets, I need alone time to recharge.

I don't know, I'm a Hermit.

I suppose if they were to play music, I might relent, but I'm pretty adamant about my privacy.

I never even had a phone for like twenty years, so.

I think I've had more than a few weird/freaky experiences with strangers coming to my door (even out here where we live now) to make me really wary of having people I don't know in the house. Like, some REALLY freaky experiences.

But yeah, I need alone time, too. I always thought it was pesky Uranus on my IC, but maybe it's my Virgo Moon.

I'm thankful that my husband takes our little guy to the gym and other outings so I can have some time with the house to myself.
Crank up the music that I wouldn't normally listen to with little guy, and do whatever. Or burn some sage.

I always had a phone, though. But then, I'm not an expert at feeling at ease with my own company without distraction, either. I'd kind of like to work on that one...

Might be the Taurus Moon on the Ascendant, but it is difficult for me to be around people, because I am sensitive. I tend to take on the mood of those I come into contact with.

I suppose Libra is that way to a certain extent also, reactive to those around you and all.

Anyway, I definitely need my alone time.

Sage is good, Sage is good...

I used to make bundles, and tie them.

It was great fun!

Maybe that's one reason that you seem so calm and loving. You nurture those things within yourself, and don't have other people around to disrupt those feelings as much?

I don't know...but when we buy our property I want to be your neighbor(ish)! I'll share the beeswax and honey!

I may just move in with my brother some day.

Or my Uncle.

Or my Aunt.

When the kids are grown and all...

See, the thing is, you don't just move to a place, it's the people there and the general mentality.

This area is not like Santa Cruz at all.

I would think it's really cool where you live, that was one of the very few on my list.

I'm like you, I know the Universe will take me where I need to go, when I need to get there; certainly I have seen it in action too many times to enumerate.

I also have no cause to gripe, this place is unbelievable, and I am Blessed to be here.

I guess Santa Cruz is just the place for me, I couldn't imagine anywhere that would have the resonance that fits every single nuance of my being in such a profound way.

You don't find that on every street-corner, let me tell you...

^ So true, so true.

We've lived in so many places that just didn't jive with me at all. I always end up coming back here. Even living in a smaller town outside of the city, it's still really awesome, and the people are fairly aware.

It will be hard in that sense if we move.

But jeez...we just want to be able to OWN our home, and not feel like indentured servants for the rest of our lives. I suppose the only places you can do that are in places most people don't want to live in, for various reasons.
It's tricky, trying to find that.

It's so beautiful here...but it costs a lot to live here, buy here, etc. Not to mention the radiation factor freaking us out a little bit with the tsunami aftermath and all that.

Eh...I'm just going to enjoy our little nook while we're here. I do love it, and we're very blessed also.

Well, I do understand, because that's exactly what we did.

It was good in many ways.

Living off the grid, with the place paid off gave us many monetary advantages for our income bracket, and I do have much to show for it.

Now I am older, and I hate it here.

Hey Violets, Happy Valentines!

I was looking at your chart yesterday, and I have something I want to tell you.

I guess they must have had some heavy Snow on Mount Shasta, because my Internet Connection has been really bad.

I mean really bad, squirrelly as they come.

The good news is, I am really learning about many things in Astrology, and I have been looking at people's Chart Patterns.

There is this one you have that I want you to know about.

I will do it as the Storms let me...

------------------
Love,

Ellyn

Oh, yay!

I've been wondering where you've been lately... I thought you were going back into virtual hermitude (is that a word?).

I'm so happy to hear from you here!
Very curious to find out what you've learned about my chart!

Love you.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that you don't like where you live now.

I know how that feels, and it was miserable for me, growing up in a place like that. It's not something I wish to repeat, I can tell you.

Well, it's just a much more repressed society from where I grew up.

I really didn't realize that the sea-air was so fundamental to my well-being, either.

It's really hot and dry in the summer here.

Like I said, I really have no place to gripe, this place is beyond my wildest dreams in way too many ways, I mean three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a library, a garage, a boathouse, a mini orchard (two cherries, four apples, an apricot, an almond, pecans, english walnut, a mini vineyard,)and the landscaping is to die for.

I have no place to gripe, but I really, really, really love the Ocean.

Oh, I just wanted to tell you that you had a Tree, it's a really cool Chart Pattern.

Here I'll pop one up for you.

Tree

This person is driven by a strong motivation to gain real vision, to get the whole picture—a vision quest. Their Chart Type is the Grand Trine; it’s the archetype of the core-giving Chart Type family, a classic pattern in the history of Astrology, and one that prefers the role of “The Lover,” in relationships—the provider of care and affection. The most compassionate of all Chart Types, this pattern is considered the most Bodhisattva-like. This person has powerful conceptual abilities, and depends on their mental powers to make their way through life. They think before they act, and usually plan things out far in advance, sometimes preferring to read about something than to actually do and experience it. They may have trouble getting going, doing something.

Here are all of the Patterns for you, and the Interpretation Link on the next Reply:

Wow, awesome! I'll be reading through those, thank you!

Your place sounds so beautiful...but I do know what you mean about the ocean. Or at least a bay or Puget Sound or something like it.

We're about as far as I'd care to get from the ocean right now, and my husband is trying to move us back to his hometown in Central CA by the beach. But we would probably have to live 40 minutes away in the mountains in order to be able to afford to live there.

With Neptune mucking around in my 8th house, I'm a little wary of any new business ventures...

But the alternatives we're looking at are similar to what you're describing, like Eastern Washington or somewhere in the Midwest.

Hot in the summer, and too much snow (any snow is too much for my liking) in the winter. And not very progressive.
We'll see, I guess.

Now let me see, who else had a Tree.

Hmmm.

Neil Peart comes to mind, but not many others. But you.

Think there was one other person here, but the name escapes me.

Whoa, cool!
I'll look more closely into that... I don't always have time to actually study as thoroughly as I'd like (chatting on here takes less focus and concentration, ha), but I'd like to read up on it.
