You came to mind today as the last of the Mulberries ripened. I didn`t get to make jam this season but the raw berries were so yummy on my cereal !

The tree wasnt loaded as in past years. Was yours?
I think the brutal winter stymied most yields.

As to my mulberries;
well we have been invaded again by ground hogs, and dozens of 4 types squirrel and related vermin. Toss in the birds and well;
the together all the greedy filthy vermin tree climbing vermin, and they shite on and ate all the mulberries, raspberries, black raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, and well, pretty much have taken over my small yard and the squirrels and deer(6 of them!)have destroyed some trees and are ripping up the leaves and branches of larger ones.
The deer are creepy and some chase us; and act aggressive and well, just terrifying.
Folks think deer are cute. Well these are aggressive deer.

I have very little good moments left and the vermin taking over my yard has further placed restrictions on ,e and the use of my yard.
The digging all they have done has made so many holes that I have had many falls, some bad because of their holes, diggings and hidden shallow tunnels.
I cannot enjoy having a garden any longer and even flowers are out because the damn deer eat all kinds of flowers down to the root and even eat our beautiful Hostas.
Sigh......
I am quite depressed about it all.

yes my mulberry trees were loaded and other berries;
but the vermin ate them all.
The only way to get rid of the vermin is to get rid of the mulberry trees and berries and the apple trees.

And these same plants are favorites of not only deer, groundhog, (which do indeed climb trees!) squirrels etc., but also a new imported nasty biting invader that gets into homes;
the Asian Stinkbug.
We never had them here until last Fall.
OK.....
rant over for now about vermin and all.

Lexx, Cat is right. It is called Liquid Fence. That`s the name brand version . Bonide has a less expensive brand as well.
It works aces and is harmless to any and all critters. Deer, rabbit and squirrels for certain and it really helps with some moles and chipmunks.

The premixed container has it`s own spray system or you can buy undiluted and make your own and use your own sprayer. That`s the most frugal way to go. Since I need a huge quanity, that`s my option.

The wild animals are foraging closer to homes this season. It is a rugged hungry summer for them.

They lived through the bitter winter and now food isn`t as ready or plentiful as normal.

That leaves them rummaging through our life.

We are on wild life overload as well and Phoenix, chocolate Lab., keeps them on their game sun up to sun down but nights bring morning surprises.

Sorry to hear of your continued illness`s and hope the sun and warmer weather brings some comfort to you & your fur faces.

Thank you both for wishing me well heath wise.
The doctors keep cancelling appointments made 3 to 4 months in advance. Then reschedule and I go and sit over 2 hours every time and get told it may be 2 more hours. This happens too often. I could not walk the other day and my disabled husband had to wheel me in to doctor. I got too sick to wait 4 hours or more and with loss of lower body sensation no bladder/bowel control...yippie....and told the wait would be at least 2 more hours....and the fluorescent lights brought on a seizure for my husband.
So as soon as his episode passed, we had to just leave without seeing the specialist. I could barely hobble from car to house after sitting so long in wheelchair. Then had to crawl up steps and get in and have help cleaning up my mess in my clothes. Yippie....my like rather sucks these days.
