Well done Bella! It must feel really good to have done that and climed that mountaintop. Also now maybe you can take a little rest, congratulate yourself and enjoy your accomplishment and gear up for the good things that lie ahead. IP: Logged |

i won't overload the thread with photos of dog treats (promise! ), but i thought i'd share one of these beauties - tasties, about halfway done the other night, now that i'm uploading photos.I brushed them with honey, coconut oil, garlic powder and rosemary. Knowing the honey and oil would inhibit them from drying out completely and keep them slightly soft and chewy, but boy were they good. The dogs aren't complaining (& neither am i). IP: Logged |

the large ones are for some big dog friends of ours. and there were about three other pans of them baking at that point. Next time I will leave the honey and oil out although i think they are natural preservatives.IP: Logged |

I'm mentally urging Cutie to come home and stay safe in the meanwhile. T, thanks for the pictures and thanks for being adorable. You are so inspiring and your dog looks sooooooo cozy! I wish that I could find that golden mean of delicious and healthy for my children, my youngest child especially, who eats too much sugar because he goes on hunger strikes when I don't give him sweet stuff. Fortunately he likes healthy sweet stuff too ~ yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, very dark chocolate, Cliff bars, kombucha. "Healthy" popsicles made of fruit juice with extra Vitamin C. I make my own granola bars which are quasi-healthy and earn me some housewife brownie points, but my youngest son won't eat those. Maybe he would eat them if I doubled the sugar somehow. I drew a picture of him with hearts in place of his eyes and a cloud over his head that said "Sugar!!!!" That's what I'm trying to reverse. Heck, when my oldest was a baby he ate plain unsweetened yogurt that I made myself from organic raw milk that I drove an hour to get. WHOA- how times have changed But I will always be a health food lover at heart. Trying to pass that over to my kids by example and just a little bit of force feeding for their own good (the "you have to eat one piece of broccoli" rule has converted most of them to broccoli love.) @Bella and PisceanDream, Congrats on finishing up the semester, I'm sure your brilliant ladies are taking well-deserved honors Enjoy your vacation! Faith, yeah it is hard to find that perfect balance of delicious and healthy and can be even tougher to get kids to agree. I used to nanny and remember how tough it can be. Sounds like he's eating better than a lot of kids and it's good that he gets those kind of healthy sweet treats. quote: I drew a picture of him with hearts in place of his eyes and a cloud over his head that said "Sugar!!!!" T, Thunder left us around the time teasels Dora did. I`m heartbroken and it is difficult to talk about him. Phoenix was so lost after too You know I made all his food and he loved biscuits made with pure/organic baby food beef. It stinks but they love it in the treat. ------------------ Christian, Jew, Muslim, Shaman, Zoroastrian, stone, ground, mountain, river, each has a secret way of being with the Mystery, unique and not to be judged. Thanks T!!!!! I took a long nap today! lol. You are such a good dog mommy too, all that fancy food and stuff. Actually, we have a lot of good doggy and kitty parents in here. LOL, this isn't the punching bag thread, it is an animal farm. IP: Logged |

Thank you for the good thoughts and prayers. We haven't found him yet. Elsie came home after a week, just running through the back door, back in 2009, but that was at the beginning of Spring, and it was a lot warmer than it is now. I'm making up a poster, though, and will print it out and hopefully get it into people's mail boxes tomorrow.IP: Logged |

I used to make home made food for my dog but she did not do well.I buy really good organic food for her and her coat is AMAZING. She is a long haired silken terrier and her coat is pure silk! ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course.

btw Juni and Faith ~ re: the remote viewing thread from awhile back. I don't think i ever got back to you about my backsplash. I painted it to mimic some tiles i wanted. The theme of my kitchen revolves around a sign i found a long time ago that reads: "The Mermaid Lounge cast away your troubles and have a mar-i-time", which looks like a recreation of an old vintage sign. So, i painted a fish scale pattern behind my sink like this: except they go the opposite way, with the curved part on the bottom. just found this photo in google images: imagine this, but bigger scallops and more blues and greens mixed in - not one uniform color with white "grout" in between... and Faith you saw copper - i have a copper colored mermaid statue on a shelf in there. Juni & teasel Losing a pet is so sad. I hope Cutie comes home...cats are smart and find places to keep warm. Have you checked with the SPCA? My childhood dog used to wander and end up there. --- T, I could not have been more wrong about your backsplash. But that design is so beautiful, and I love the mermaid theme! I watched an Animal Planet documentary about mermaids a few weeks ago (I didn't know it was a "mockumentary") and it got me thinking mermaids could be real... I am the world's MOST gullible person... I was laughing but honestly felt really deflated once I had to confront the fact that the "experts" on the show were pretty bad actors, not convincing me even when I was desperate to be convinced. Damn that was a cruel show. No mermaids after all. Life goes on...mermaidless. IP: Logged |

Faith, thanks. & i remember seeing commercials for that "mocumentary" awhile back, but i couldn't bring myself to actually watch it after reading some of the reviews online. btw as i know deep down you know - Mermaids ARE real & i don't need the TV to tell me otherwise! just reminded me of this cute tee i saw somewhere: i so would've rocked that in high school, underneath a flannel (they are back in style now, too, funnily enough) which inspired me to make a grown-up version, a sign for my kitchen that says: "Mermaids don't do dishes"
