yes you're right! If I am not feeling it, I cannot make myself do it. I am very "gut" driven. I make decisions based on how I feel, instinct, intuition. This carries in to relationships too. If I am not feeling the guy, there is no ability for me to just keep seeing him to see if he grows on me. It's instant or nothing.

I would say my sex drive is responsive to my partner too. But it's strong on it's own. Give me a partner who is not strong in the sex drive department and it's torture for me. But that could be 8th house sun and jupiter too.

Things are good here. Still dating, and it's still progressing slowly. He's kind of hard to read. On one hand he has made no move to even kiss me, though I am aware he wants to. Then on the other he throws out comments like if I ever want to travel with him... both stateside and international. So... yeah. Is this the Gemini side of him that just enertains fun thoughts and ideas or the Sun Pluto side and he's feeling me out? Or both... anyway, things are good and still going, so I can't ask for too much more!

Thought I would update...

He is very Neptunian! We analyzed his chart but right now what I see is his Sun trine Neptune, his Moon trine Neptune, and Moon in Pisces. It's comical! So very smart and intellectual, and then dreamy and lost in his head at the same time!

You were right about his Mercury- he knows how to use it. He is very good about expressing himself. It's almost a little too flowery for me, thanks to my good l'Cap moon inconjunct Mercury.

He is getting his birth time for me. And I must be seeing his Moon square Mars, because where he was super slow and cautious all of the sudden he is "all in." Whoa.

And yet, for all my hang ups and weirdness in relationships, and me finding reasons why I don't like this or don't like that, I keep going back. Like I know this is good for me. Has to be the chiron in this relationship.

Stonemoon -

Love an update

Keep going back? Compulsive? That's a flag for me.. lol.

I am joking don't worry. But yeah, actually serious because (me) attachment issues, etc. And Chiron is/can be super compulsive (yikes).

I'm so excited for your journey (your Virgo business getting right into this). I love the updates. I loled at your "he's getting his birth time" - you couldn't wait

Sometimes hard to get birth time at that age. But, hey, maybe he's Scorpio rising with those Neptune vibes? But also, if he's looking to "attract", his Mercury will be "on", being attached to his Venus, but then also so will his Neptune via it's square to Mercury.

Hmm.. interesting..

How funny is it that you see things in person (I mean what you're saying about his Neptune)? And also, as you've said too, often AFTER the affair all this astro stuff comes to the fore that was not seen at the time. Astrology is full of fun and surprises.

I want to get to that next level with astrology where I can see how the factors are layered in order of priority. Finally crack the code to having a good and ordered system. Guess that's every astrologer's dream. I think degrees are a place to start, they really matter (closer: more in the foreground). I'd like to test that more though.

I'll have another look at his chart soon

Well, I think he was showing me (initially) his ASC, which I still believe is Virgo conjunct Pluto and Uranus. So he was being reserved and Scorpionic. But once he got past that, I saw his true self. Which is VERY watery and very very Neptunian.

I have Bacchus conjunct Sun, and Virgo placements- compulsive is my middle name!!!! Hahahahaha ! And like you, I have attachment issues too. I go through this EVERY time. When I like someone and I think they aren't as in it as me, I am crazy over them. As soon as I know they are in, I get cold feet. I am learning to breathe and allow. I will know in time if I truly want to leave the relationship. But I am able to step back and acknowledge I am resorting to bad habits that don't serve me.

With him, despite my analyzing, there is much comfort and warmth and security. I feel I am myself. I actually was thinking about his Jupiter trine my Uranus. I feel like I am very unusual to him, very unlike what he knows in life. But I feel so free to be myself and even that I need to be more myself with him than ever before because it serves him too. The only thing I could pin this feeling back to was my Uranus trine his Jupiter.

He has moments of being suave and "Mr. In charge" and then reverts to this childlike, boy like man. There is a part of me that wants it to be off putting (so I can find fault and run) but there is a bigger part of me that finds it totally endearing.

And he is a total Gemini Mars and Venus. Changes direction a million times. I think this also adds to his childlike nature. Youthful and fun loving.

Have you ever had and interaction with a total stranger and walked away thinking "good Lord, that had to be Saturn" or Gemini, or Aries, or whatever!!!???!!!! I catch myself doing that a lot, and of course when it's a stranger you never know, but you just feel it. I bet you do, even if you don't realize it!

another thought- don't you think aspects in a natal chart (and synastry and composite for that matter) are always changing priority in response to situations?

I think of it not as one aspect being stronger than another, but as all the aspects at play, just sometimes stepping up in response to certain situational needs... kind of like knowing when to use your humor in a moment versus when to be serious, versus when to be authoritative or diplomatic. Like a complete skill set you can draw from.

And they say the ASC is the mask or facade we show the world as a first impression, but the Sun is there true core of ourselves. So when we trust someone, we let the ASC mask fall a bit and show our true selves. And with Scorpio aSC or Pluto on the ASC, we are doubly cautious and reserved.

As an aside, I am a Scorpio ASC. Internally, I feel like all my emotions are on display and I often feel upset with myself for exposing too much of myself. Externally, most people comment that I have a good poker face and attitude and I realize that very few know much about what truly goes on in my life. So how people truly see me is completely different from how I feel I present myself to the world.

Oh, yeah.. ok.. interesting!

Was thinking too about his ambivalence around his female planets. He may have in the background "don't say anything abusive to her, yet" "don't ruin this one too". LOL LOL.

Apologies for my dark humour.

And yes, I do that all the time. It can get to the point that the person is invisible. And it's an interaction with the different shades of the electromagnetic spectrum alone. The person being just a prism.

OMG! Can't believe the things I say publicly

hahahaha! I don't say things I would regret publicly, not like foot in mouth issues! But I definitely feel over exposed, only to then later realize I pretty much said nothing at all!

Funny about his feminine planets... he's a giant mush ball right now. I feel like he is the woman and I am the man! Maybe that is my Pluto trine his Venus? Or my Mars opposite his Moon? My Sun trine his Moon?

Randomly-

for whatever reason looked at asteroid Hygiea. This man is a neat freak compulsive cleaner. I love clean and tidy, but fall short of actually enforcing it on a regular basis. He on the other hand is a clean freak. But coming home from his house made me feel the need to totally deep clean my house and organize my life. His asteroid Hygiea is conjunct my NN....

too funny!

Yes, I agree. And I totally forgot about that. But I think that is when it is controlled by the chart owner due to necessity of social convention or inter-relating (begging the interesting question: who indeed is the chart owner?). Which of course is always going to be the case. But I wonder about the natural resting state of the chart/personality. Which would only be ultimately if we lived in a bubble. Or a laboratory Soo Aquarius.. sigh. But, sometimes we might come close to that? Like, when we are actually resting into ourselves? But I don't know.

Same applied to Synastry - everyone's on their best behaviour and controlling everything. But, when the relationship relaxes into a natural state, it's the close aspects that are the ones where the main energy bounces around. So one theory goes anyhow. I tend to thing there is some true to this. It's too tiring to control the personality all the time. We must rest into our automative natural flow? But, hey, I understand that I get a bit conceptual.

As an aside, I am a Scorpio ASC. Internally, I feel like all my emotions are on display and I often feel upset with myself for exposing too much of myself. Externally, most people comment that I have a good poker face and attitude and I realize that very few know much about what truly goes on in my life. Wow.. that's interesting.. the whole identity question and more. Reminds me of that book I keep thinking about where the character comes to realise that each person throughout his life only knows their biased perception of himself. And that in fact no one knows him at all. Apparently, being unable to come to terms with this, he goes totally mad in the end.

That is great: already getting dividends from the association. I'll have a look at Hygiena. Trust a Virgo dominant to be looking that asteroid up, OMG, hahaa..

"hahahaha! I don't say things I would regret publicly, not like foot in mouth issues! But I definitely feel over exposed, only to then later realize I pretty much said nothing at all! " That's funny You should say as you like and be free <3

I suspect he'd be laying very low right now and keeping his more assertive (dominating) aspects in the background. I speculate they are laying dormant right now. Nothing like a surprise for later Hahaha.. OMG.

Ooohhh.. this is going to be gripping viewing .. Ima stock up on the popcorn

Hygeia is opposite my Mercury but I do not have any dirty thoughts at all.

#1 Hygeia asteroid is conjunct his - guess what (you'd better sit down for this StoneMoon) - his Chiron! Exact!
Which is square his Mercury. Which maybe is why HE has such a filthy mouth, lol.

#2 Hygeia is in Sag, conjunct my Jupiter/Neptune (which is square to his Chiron). My Hygeia is conjunct close by his Lilith and with no aspects anywhere.

A bit of fun

hahahaha! love that you think you don't have a "dirty" mind! Whatever!

Just kidding. But I never really cared about hygiea but looking at it and seeing my guy's on my NN and realizing how much I feel compelled to clean after seeing his house.... yeah, highly amusing! Asteroids can be so literal!

Do grab some popcorn, this looks to be interesting. I am starting to peel back the layers of this man and see the true side of him. Enjoying it, too! He's so proper up front (HAS to be Virgo ASC) but then when you dig deeper there is a whole other dirty side to him! He still is a little stiff and I am certain I am here to lighten him up in life, but he's loosening up little by little.

In some ways I feel like the odd couple, because I am sooooo loose and relaxed in life while he is stiff and upright, but then when you peel back both our layers we are very similar people. So fascinating!

I am almost wondering if his ASC is 0 or 1 Virgo, which would make it square mine.... We are such different people in how we present ourselves to the world.

Found this.. maybe I wasn't far off funnily?
Source: https://chirotic.com/2008/07/09/hygeia-virgo-and-the-6th-sheer-perfection/

"Look to aspects with other placements and consider the quality; my wife has Hygeia closely conjunct to Mercury in Virgo; her mental habits are quite simply beyond reproach, she has a very healthy mind, and has never been depressed in her life. Not even for a day. If she is upset about something, she deals with it, thinks it through and gets past it; a characteristic that is explained precisely by this conjunction."

so with the opposition do you feel you have anxiety or depression? Interesting.

Mine squares my Mars and trines my Mercury. I am not prone to depression, though I have experienced it. Square Mars???? I struggle with habits to stay clean? Hygiea is in my first house. Hmmmmmm....

update for you Sass- I think Pluto Venus and Sun is in effect.

There is a part of me that wants to run. This is my Chiron, my dynamic. When the person shows up as stable, I want to bolt. Uranus opposite Chiron I guess. He is all in, and there is this part of me that wants to find fault with him and list all the reasons why I don't like him. (Venus in Virgo? Trine Chiron and sextile Uranus?) And while I can certainly find reasons (we all can if we try hard enough), I want to keep going forward. I saw him earlier in the week and felt the urge to run. So I soothed myself with thoughts of it not working and I could end it and blah blah blah. 24 hours later and I want to talk to him, want to reach out. 48 hours later and he texts me and I am thrilled and happy. And looking forward to the next time I see him. And while we are opposites and so similar at the same time, I think its Pluto Venus right now pushing it forward. I sense something here that I don't want to stay away from.

I might take this down. I feel a little exposed. But here is the truth of it.

Know what you mean feeling exposed so I didn't quote.

I had to go get a cup of tea before reading

Hmm.. I'm thinking on it. Sounds like it's ambivalent. If that's the right word? Mixed signals in yourself you say? Although you do indicate that ultimately, you are sure about continuing, so maybe not ambivalent.

I'd say it's hard to pinpoint because the synastry can be giving you vibes too? But then you say too that you recognise it as something that you have a tendency to experience yourself.

Astrology after thoughts: IF that is your Virgo Venus that you're sensing, it's the challenged characteristics of Virgo, yes? So.. maybe that's a reaction to the Venus-sign squares you have in the synastry?

I just had a look to check and noticed that they are only sign-square. But then noticed that your Venus is unaspected in the synastry (apart from Eros and Amor if you'd count them). Maybe your Venus is feeling highlighted? Vulnerable even? Because there's nothing strong to attach to in the interaction? Your Venus is scoping to connect but cannot and it's sort of on high alert searching (this is my theory about unaspected planets in synastry).

But also, your Mars is there in the same sign and will defend Venus easily because same sign.. it may kick in, then be up in front of his Pluto. Wowzers.

Oooh, goodness, I see that his Eros is not really very much aspected in his chart, and it's on your Venus. I think that is intense! Then too.. his Eros can tune into/trigger your Chiron. So.. he will be able to sense that there is something in you that is responding to his capacity to sooth your deep wounds that are attached to finding love, being loved, and loving the self. I don't normally include asteroids to start with, but, given they are highlighted because of the lack of aspects and I think it's something to look at.

While we're here, look at your Amor and his Valentine.. and his Psyche and your Union .. etc. Maybe due to the great amount, and the tight aspects these asteroids are/have is part of the undercurrent you are sensing? But, that your Venus is not otherwise aspected makes it, in any case, more sensitive in my opinion.

But I do tend to take unaspected planets (not including asteroid aspects) in synastry seriously.

Just for fun - is it possible that the unaspected Venus is being projected out so much that it looks like it's his rising sign?

Was wondering why you say Pluto Sun Venus? And who's who you mean? Do you feel the intense power drivers of the Sun and Pluto? Whose Venus?

I'd like to see a synastry grid StoneMoon to see the degrees if you can be bothered to post?

I'll write more soon

Wow, great insight!

This is ultimately what I do, every single time. I am all excited, all in, then I panic and decide I don't like the guy, and try to list every reason why. It happens in every synastry, even with the guy I was so in love with. I ran from him a little too. I always come back though when the synastry has enough substance, and I know I am "in" for this one too. I just have to go through these uncomfortable little struggles.

Sorry to be vague= my Pluto squares his Sun and trines his Venus. Its all my Pluto, all the time. Now his Pluto/Uranus is on my Mars Venus midpoint. And only 4 degrees from my Mars- so I think the effects are there, even if mild.

I tend to load up on asteroids, but this is the first synastry I have ever seen them so well and significantly lined up. Amor/Valentine, Psyche/Union, Psyche/Eros, Eros to my Venus, my Eros to his Moon.... it just keeps going. By the way, my Union is on his Eros and his Union is on my Psyche, so it further amplifies the soulmate effect. Resonance.

As for me being Pluto, I can already feel things I want to "teach" him in his life. Hahahahaha! But not in a bad way. I am big on nutrition and natural living and I can see things I want to introduce him to. Things that I know will help him. But most people I can take it or leave it about if they want my knowledge. With him, I feel a more compulsive desire to "change" his habits. He eats hot pockets for god's sakes!!!! Hahahahaha!

I forgot about the synastry grid! Let me see what I can do!

Hon,

It's very easy - it's on the Additional Tables pdf on the synastry chart.

It's in exactly the same position where you told me to get the parallels and declinations.

But if you cannot find it yes I'll do it. Just not sure when. Tomorrow maybe?

I hear what you're saying that it's you, and your thing that you do

Oh yeah.. Pluto, exact trine to Venus.. omg.. and it's your Pluto. That's a trip.

Imo, Venus runs rings around Pluto. Have fun with that omg.. lol.

But it's ok because it's widely DW.. (closest thing to your Venus then at a glance). All the more fun then

I know where to find it but can't figure out how to isolate it to post it through tiny pic.... My computer won't let me edit it to that format. So if I upload it to tiny pic then you get the whole declination charts too!

Weird.

I wonder if my Venus is not so important to aspect? It's not as intricately involved in my chart as it is, and Mars and Sun are representative of what a woman wants...

Just a thought. But I am only aspecting his Venus by an outer planet. But I am aspecting his Moon in a big and personal way.

Ok.. I'll try .. eventually.. (Christmas shenanigans having already started) I usually select it, it opens as a pdf, I take a screen shot, crop it and upload to tinypic.

Well... what I've learned over time is that, relationships do go on, even when there are hard aspects. Or indeed, something missing. This is the compromise in relationships that people speak of, I suppose.

There are those Moon aspects yes. And all else! I do think that you will feel an unaspected Venus. But, as I say, with maturity comes an understanding that we don't always get everything in a relationship and sometimes there are challenges and compromises. This is perhaps where the "work" comes in. But is only a capacity if the two people are mature and respectful, and can talk about it. Ie, not abusive, taking, hurtful, withholding or manipulative people. Which, can be the case if one person is not high enough functioning.

Sometimes, those challenges are purely for the individual in the relationship to address on their own, and is up to them to take action to manage it. Such as for example: he doesn't like to go for long walks, I don't like footballs so this is what we take time out to do separately. I don't feel loved enough sometimes, so I make sure to self care by going and getting a massage and a facial sometimes. I feel smothered sometimes, so it's important that I spend time *insert manly thing here*. And making these arrangements, rather than undermining, complaining and fighting about it. And being able to talk on an intimate level with each other about what is missing in the relationship for each, and how they will support each other with their choices.

I wonder too, what's in the natal charts that will indicate what a person can and cannot compromise. For example, with my #1, I was pretty worried about the many squares to my Venus. Because I know that I am not THAT much of a secure person anyhow. Was wondering, will those squares mess me up? Do I have enough inside of myself yet to support myself in the face of the insecurities that come with those synastry squares? Will those squares over time erode my self worth and esteem? Is this person mature enough to meet me on this level? And why it was good that it was a distance relationship because I could observe my responses and feelings without getting too dirty. Looking after me at the moment is just my trip at the moment and my highest priority because I've come from so much **** from too much trust and blindness. It's something that I am learning.

Sorry for the rant! Definitely don't mean to preach, but rather answering by reflecting and sharing. I am learning along the way with you

In summary though, I find that an unaspected planet in synastry becomes a lone planet that kind of sits outside a bit. This can be ok.. As long as it can be looked after in other ways? It can actually make the planet, and too the position in the natal, more prominent, become more highlighted, and it taking a greater center stage. Or try to. It can then waver between feelings of being neglected and being demanding or wanting (if you're not a Leo, lol). Yet is still sits outside a bit (trying to describe here).

The Moon aspects might be enough. Considering his natal chart indicates that he does want those Moon connections. Also, I think too that, after a certain age the Moon becomes more important than ever. And, I am in agreement with AmiAnne that the Moon is, if we are to choose, the most important planet in synastry

I remember why I was struggling with thinking my Venus was not aspected. His Mercury is inconjunct/semi sextile. To the degree but not the second. Also, minor aspects.

maybe the squares to your Venus will challenge you to face everything head on. To really sift through what you will and will not deal with, so I absolutely agree with your thoughts there. And the distance of the relationship with #1 certainly served your Aqua side. And in all this was an ideal scenario for you to gently dip your toes back in the water, and gain some self confidence again. Absolutely you have the strength, I just think it is sometimes more about readiness.

oh and I never saw it as a ranting preach. Totally understood where you were going with that.

with my Venus, I have had it aspected plenty of times but it's not usually the focal point in relationships. Especially when they put something in my 7th house (as Venus is 7th ruler...). My Venus connected to my MC is kind of ok on it's own. I have had conjunctions with it and they were more platonic than romantic. For the two big relationships they did trine it with Saturn and each sextile it, one with Sun and one with Moon. And neither of those sextiles was tight at all. 2-3 degrees. He sextiles it and trines it and squares it all with asteroids.

Ooops- stand corrected. Two major relationships- their Junos both trines my Venus from the other side so altogether it became a grand trine. Hmmmmm, wonder if this guys asteroids will be enough? Probably not.

you know what- his Eros conjuncts it and Juno squares it . So while not a personal planet, or outer, these are significant asteroids and common in relationships. I have never had Eros touching my Venus. Amor sextile my Venus, BML opposite.

He is actually hitting it pretty hard because they are all heavy hitters in the asteroid world.
