AquaVenus, perhaps the elitist community you`re searching for may be best found in Freemasonary or Rosicrucians. ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Perhaps those practicing immortality just choose to remain silent observers. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Hi,knowflakes.Just wanted to let you all know I'm done playing devil's advocate. I knew all along that no ill could come of the spread of this knowledge-it's very nature is to make life on earth blissful and serene. I was just in a weird mood, and I had been reading some severe German philosophy.Good vibes all around!IP: Logged |

Censorship? Are posts being censored? Does that happen here? Closing down a thread that has gotten out of hand is one thing but I didn't realize we could eliminate posts altogether. Ouch.IP: Logged |

Yes, TINK, I am as surprised as you.. I didn't realize someone could erase something you feel, without your knowledge or consent.. especially since the things I said weren't that bad!!! I simply responded to the post-ee because of the way she presented herself in this, as well as other threads and forums. It is only an opinion, but one I think needed to be said, as I know I am not the only one who feels this way. I didn't realize my posts were so bothersome, it really inflates my sense of ego ( .) To have that much power!!! Wow! But all I said, is what Juniperb said.. but she said it with tact and sweetness, I said it to the point and maybe a bit rudely. But it had it's validity. Even harsh words need to be heard once and a while, and I CAN apologize if wrong.. but in this case? Wrong is in the eye of the biased beholder/moderator. I wish the post could be resurrrected so you could judge for yourself, but alas, i have been put in my place by someone who has never spoken to me, nor knows my value as a human being with a voice. Pretty sad state of affairs!!!IP: Logged |

Pixie, I didn`t see a post so I`m clueless as to what happened to it . Perhaps it would be best to e mail Randall or Grasshopper directly to solve the mystery. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Juniperb.. you do have a superb soul.. don't worry. I am disheartened and upset, but not clueless.. in the place of my original post was a stern reprimand from grasshopper. Whom, I might add, I have never met nor communicated with, so is not a true judge of my character in this situation. Maybe contrary to popular belief, I am not a stupid gal. Just one that is a little shocked that the place I have grown so fond of would encourage this sort of behaviour.... this is about speaking and opinions.. good and bad, and as you all know, it is not always good, but we get on and heal.... Such is life. I would encourage Grasshopper to contact me... The sheer boldness it took to 'play with my toys' saddens me.. I know the post was not mysteriously lost..... by some unfortunate calamity, my words were met with displeasure, so rather than letting anyone make their own decision, it was made for them that they need not hear it. Thanks dad and mom, but I left home a long time ago, and don't need your tutelage and guidance on what is right and wrong. By the way, if you wanted me to believe it had mysteriously disappeared, as posts have a tendancy to do sometimes... maybe you shouldn't have replaced it with "play nice" Hmmmm? It would have been so easy to just let that part slip between the cracks.. but now, speaking of cracks, the sheen I had seen all over this beautiful place has cracked, and the facade faded for me. I am glad the people her are still peeps I want to associate with.. but some Saturnian influences can kiss my ....... grits IP: Logged |

I read the post ! It was straight to the point but I can understand that being an Aries ! Plus we should all be entitled to free speech, it wasn't bad enough to be deleted and sometimes we need to hear things we don't want to. I hope your faith in this place gets restored !IP: Logged |

Thank you, Tahariel.. I appreciate the kindness, and that you actually got to see this mysterious post that I have been talking about. I think my faith can only be restored with actions and goodwill. Besides, it is tainted, not gone.. and it isn't the community, it is some aspects of it. I think I am going to revisit George Orwell's works.IP: Logged |

hmmm...i read that post too pixel, a while back..i remember it being a tad harsh, but not tacky. and yes, censorship should be cleared through the person being censored. perhaps grasshopper was trying to tell you in a humorous way? well, wait and see what grasshopper says, there could be a valid explanation. I didn't see the Post in question, but let me clarify just a few points: Number one, I trust my Moderators completely and support them 100 percent. Number two, There's a lot of stuff said on this site that should be deleted, but I have more tolerance than most. Number three, it should not be inferred that this site allows absolutely anything to be said. We encourage freedom of expression, but only within the context of Love and Light. To maintain this level of vibrancy and not fall into the murky depths of similar sites, some selective censorship can and will occasionally be exercised. I am not taking sides, as I did not see the Post; however, one should not in any way come to the conclusion that Lindaland is a 100 percent free speech zone. *leaves soap box* Carry on. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." To reiterate, I didn`t see the post but an issue brought up is something I feel strongly about. It does NOT imply I feel the abuse occured.I believe the term 'Freedom of Speech' has been so bandied about and misused to the point it no longer has meaning It`s used to cover abuses on the ethical and moral level. Do I have the right to call one names, make accusations or demean ones moral character in the name of F.O.S.? To dump a mean spirited opinion under the same guise? I don`t believe that was the reason for the amendment. Adjectives like 'tacky' are subjective and has a whole host of meanings for different people. My defination of tacky will vary from others. Yet someone must define it to keep the vibration on the intended path. It is a fact of life that there`s a guiding force to that respect, here and everywhere. The key here is love and respect for our fellow beings. Plain and simple. Remember the golden rule and let your lite shine ..... Like Randall said, the virbration of Lindaland is what makes her a home for those who seek the loving companionship, lite and all that help us grow to a higher consciousness. This is my belief for the entire board and all it`s posts. Not just this instance and I am NOT pointing anyone or any post out. This just gave me the opportunity to use my soapbox to share my onion. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Well said, and I agree with you. It's funny, because the poster I responded to in the first place was not exhibiting that, in this thread and others.. quite uppity and eliteist. I pointed that out in my post. I will not reiterate it, as I know I could have done it more tactfully .. but your quote was actually my point. I just made the point in the same way that p!ssed me off about how she did.. so I guess I learned in this case, the whole catching flies with honey thing is accurate.. however, how do you explain flies' attraction to sh!t? Oh well, I fling some sometimes, but I also like honey.IP: Logged |
