Have you blamed people or factors outside of yourself? It's important to understand that ALL problems are rooted inside us. Even the blocks that appear to be outside of us are only reflecting back an issue we have inside that we have not yet owned. Once we address our inner issue, the outer situation no longer troubles us.

Tell that to a murder victim or a child born with birth defects. Tell that to we who pay taxes we do not want to pay. Try driving without a permit. Or crossing international borders without a passport.
The list of things we do not have total control of in our lives goes on.

As I see it almost all problems have a inner root - but for the solutions, there are certain factors from the without that might be critical.

Simply out - lack of action.

Reaction always causes problems and conflict.

I think the quote refers to our own lives and what we do with the circumstances of our lives. Regarding someone who is born with a birth defect they can't control that but they can control whether or not they go through life feeling sorry for themselves or angry and bitter or make the most of their life in any way they can.

My mom was severely burned and she had a choice to go on with her life or give up and feel sorry for herself. She went on with her life, attended parties and did all the things she did before the fire and the burns. Many people are born handicapped including Thomas Edison and Einstein and yet they did not allow that to overcome them. Instead they both lived very productive lives and contributed much to society.

The quotes speak of how we can control our lives inwardly. What we do with the hand that life deals us. We can blame it the world, life, God or others or we can look inwardly and choose what we feel is best for our own well being.

This is totally UNTRUE. Not ALL problems are rooted inside us. Problems arises everywhere... catastrophes, other peoples actions, or just things out of our control CAN be the cause of ones problems.

Granted that some of those are extreme cases. But when you start talking generally about how one has COMPLETE control over ones lives... I would have to disagree. We can only rise up to the ceiling. There is a limit and it's not only in one's mind.

But yes, we can choose to "wallow in sorrow" over our problems or we can choose to "live with it", and make the best out of a bad situation.

Just try to remember that "making the best out of a bad situation" does not make it the "best" that it could possibly be without the "bad situation".

What I am trying to say is for example:
- if you were born in perfect health, you could do more than someone who was born with birth defects.
- if you were born to a rich couple, you would obviously have better access to higher education than someone who was born in a poor family.
- etc etc.

Sometimes, life just plain SUCKS and it may not be entirely ALL your fault. And it may not even be possible for you to get rid of the "pain" either. All we can do is really just "Accept" it and get on with our lives as best we can.

Lotus Solane is linked to at least one stalker and involved in the previous troubles at LL that made me leave for almost 1/2 a year. I did not want to play her and the stalkers' games then, and do not want to play now.
I would rather not have to post why Solane has it out for me as it is a private matter involving her feeling rejected by me.
Suffice it to say I get very leery of an over aggressive lets be best buddies right off the bat when I first meet someone. It sets off too many red flags.
