He leaves the corn with the fox and transports only the duck.
He comes back alone and picks up the fox transporting only him.
He comes back bringing the duck with him leaving fox all alone.
He drops the duck at the original spot and transports only the corn.
He leaves the corn with the fox and returns alone to get the duck again
He now brings the duck across.

In essence he brings the duck both first and last.

Yep, that's how he did it!

Now if it were me... I'd have eaten the corn
I'd let the fox eat the duck and then I'd only need to make one flippin' trip across. No duck poop in the boat or anything! Besides a fox would make a totally cool pet...

Gawd you're smart, YFIS!!! LOL

Yes you got it exactly right. That's exactly how he did it.

I'm with you on making the one trip but I would have made the duck swim to the other side by tying the corn to the back of the boat in the water so he would follow it and take the fox in the boat with me. It would spare the little duckie from being eaten and me from the duck poop in the boat. What's he doing transporting a duck in a boat when a duck can swim? LOL

That's great!

Yah, I was feeling a bit guilty over the idea of feeding the duck to the fox anyways, LOL!

But corn really is my favorite vegitable! mmm...

(ps; that one took me awhile!)

Challenge #4

We are back in that dark room. LOL

You are in a dark room with a candle, a wood stove and a gas lamp.

If you only have one match, what do you light first?

You are right, Moonie and YFIS

The match is the first thing you light.

At first I thought candle then it occurred to me that I hadn't lit the match. LOL

Challenge #5

Take the letters ERGRO. Put 3 letters in front of this combination and the same 3 letters behind it to form a common English word.

Lexx, I knew that you would be the first to get a word riddle.

I am going to try out some that I think are a bit harder but you guys are quick so I doubt it's going to stump any of you.

They are all easy for me cause I have the answers. Seem so logical too when you know the answers.

Challenge #6

The man who invented it doesn't want it. The man who bought it doesn't need it. The man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

Coffin is right, YFIS

It just gave one answer but there might be other possibilities too.

I like the bra answer too. Hey, it could happen!

Challenge #7

I went into the woods and got it. I sat down to seek it. I brought it home with me because I couldn't find it. What is it?

A splinter.

I suppose a wood tick too.
Or a thorn.

But probably a splinter.

Very good, YFIS.

The letter "e" is right.

You guys are a tough crowd to stump. Very quick minds you have.

I am going to have to find some tougher ones. Maybe at the mensa site. LOL

Nice 'e's"

Okay try this one on for size

A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

Nitey, nite.

While I'm sleeping you will be laying there all night figuring out what he said.

Well, what if the man said to the judge that "You will put me in prison for 6 years".

If it is true (which means his answer is right), he has to be put in prison for 4 years, but that will make his statement false. If that is false, judge has to put him in prison for 4 years, which again would make it false.

Man, that is the only crazy idea I have in my brain now. Call me a weirdo!

I am suing you Mirandee, for frying my brain after I had a good lunch.

Hmm?...
I think you are right Moonie
The judge would not be contradictory of course, as he is a Judge. Another way this could work is if the man simply said; "This statement is true" or "This statement is false"
eer...um..nevermind, LOL!~

Hey, can I be the Judge (I do have a Libra Moon) heee...heee...
