This seems like an intense relationship. Look at the Mars opposite Mars, Venus Square Mars, Venus square Pluto, ASC opposite Venus, etc. Is there a lot of jealousy, possessiveness? Was there a struggle for you two to get together? Was is a fatal attraction from the start? Sorry, i don't mean to pry... well, i do. But it's rude. Sorry. If you don't mind, could you fill me in on the nature of the relationship, on the story behind it?

Just for that I will tell you, because it made me laugh.

Intense is an excellent word.

We met in a nightclub, and moved in with him 2 weeks later. He had split up with his first wife a year earlier, and the aftermath of this did not make for an easy start. To be honest, Meta4, I always had the impression that resistance was futile. When I read some of the stuff on here where women wonder about whether the dithering Pisceans and side stepping Cancerians in their lives are really interested, and think for God's sake get on with it! I have to remind myself that not everyone gets steamrollered into relationships. Or to be more romantic, swept off one's feet.

It's not been that long since I looked seriously into synastry, but the Grand Cross fits right as we seem to have had everything thrown at us ~ ill relatives, redunancy causing money problems, etc, etc. Some problems caused through stupidity, some sheer bad luck. But we have lasted it out, and it does have the feeling of in it till the bitter end, although many times I have felt like throwing it all in and going for something less dramatic, maybe an easy-going and predicitable Taurus.

Jealousy is an emotion that seems to have passed me by quite significantly in life. I can't stand possessiveness, I would rather be neglected. So if you noticed the Sun CNJ Saturn in Aqua on his chart, that will explain that one ~ he's a bit of a workoholic. Those planets sit on one end of my Grand Trine (Sun/Mars/Uranus). So this part works out well.

My parents have Mars Opposite Mars and their marriage seems like a 40 odd year battle of wills. It is a bit hamster on a wheel that I have got a partner I am always arguing with, so nil points for spiritual growth on that one.

What do you make of your Grand Cross? It's powerful stuff.

Venus Square Mars.

In synastry => Recently I had a conversation where someone tried to find out if I still was after my husband for his marital favours. She wanted to know because she has gone off hers, but I still like mine. Maybe that is Venus/Mars in action?

Natal = > A bit of a bloody nuisance. I am so glad 2 bouts of childbirth has dragged my libido down. I am expecting great things of menopause but I suspect it is going to send me a bit funny. Bit of a way off yet, but I'm bracing myself for the potential embarrassement I am going to inflict on myself. I was around for my teenage years, so I have some idea.

But that's enough of that girth-expanding, arrogant tosser, let's have some Russell:

Looking raggedy, rugged and like he means business.

Is this a face of a man who is going to sit around pondering whether or not he feels emotionally available (to give you a good hard sh@gging)?

No, it is not.

Whilst I am warming to my theme, here is another Aries who looks like he would take you down a back alley and not mess about with pointless niceties:

Blue Moon,

*blushes* ... Yes... i'm nosey. Sorry...

But yes, it makes sense that your relationship would have started fast and made a big impact on you both. There was a lot of red in your synastry chart!

But you're still mad for him, right? I mean, has the passion died off, do you find yourself wanting more from the relationship than you're actually getting? Or has the toils and tribulations you two have faced only made you stronger together?

When i asked about your Venus square Mars, i was referring to the Synastry chart. I have had the pleasure of experiencing Venus square Mars with the first boy i ever fell in love with. His name was Anthony. I was 14. He was 15. We never had sex. We never had to, really. We couldn't keep our eyes, hands, bodies off of one another, but we were always bashful and full of restraint to a certain degree. Venus square Mars should never be underestimated!

Blue Moon,

Umm... To be completely honest, i've never much paid attention to it.

In truth, i haven't found much on the internet about Grand Squares.

I've... well, let's just say that my childhood was something that should have turned me into a monster. Perhaps i am one already, and simply don't realize it. But, i've always been sincerely intense, serious, and heavy. Full of some sort of conflict constantly. I always managed to find myself in those sort of situations and circumstances. However, i thought that was a result of my Scorpio ASC, or my Pluto in the first house. From what i know of the Grand Cross, and the Grand Square, they cause internal struggle in 4 different parts of your life simultaneously... Right?

Yes... what are your thoughts on the matter?

Ok, so because i'm freaking stupid i went to that site PA posted in the celebrity affinity site... you know, the one that allows you to put in different placements and find celebrities that match? Yeah, that one. So i typed in:

Sun in Leo
Pluto in Scorpio
Moon in Aquarius
Mars in Taurus

You know, to match my Grand Square.

I only found one match:

JonBenet Ramsey.

She was born the same day i was.

I'm seriously shaken up. I'm an idiot.

If you think about it logically, not many people with this date of birth will have had the chance to reach fame. If they have, it is most likely to have happened when they were children, which is unusual, and in the case of JonBenet, for a terribly tragic reason.

But what will happen in 10 years time? Your birthday brethren will have had chance to forge successful artistic careers. They will have chosen their paths, studied their art, and honed their craft. (With the Grand Square action on this particular day it may have been a tough path, but one that yields great results.)

When you enter in your data in a few years time, you will have wider list of affinities.

There are no mysteries of the universe on the celeb affinity database. You could find the same info on IMDB (International Moive Database). Flick forward to the same birthday but 10 years older, and you will see a longer list of people, working in different areas of the movie industry:
http://www.imdb.com/OnThisDay?day=6&month=August

Give it long enough and when you go back to celeb affinity different names will come up.

Listen to Mama, now.

Actually I have had a similar conversation with my own mother, when she kicks off on her "another unlucky year for Leos" speech, and one of her favourites "born under an unlucky star". As I say to her, it was unlucky for children born Jewish in Poland, but you were O.K, you missed the bombs, Hitler lost, and you're here now with children, grandchildren and a roof over your head so stop moaning.

Leos get so dramatic.

Ever so often they need their manes stroking, this one, for example:

That one.

And that's a Grand Cross for you, maybe it is the same for the natal version. I've not lived it.

But you've seen my chart, the T-Square with Venus/Ascendant/Mars/NN/Mercury lends itself to the dramatic. Then I meet someone with a fixed T-Square whose Leo Mars brings mine into a Grand Cross (from his perspective my Venus Taurus brings his into a Grand Cross). Stars collide.

It sounds like you have worked out quicker than me that (at least compared to those about you) you might have to just accept that you are going to have an eventful and dramatic life. I don't try and fight it anymore. Things are quiet now, but I just know....

I've got some interesting stuff on Karmic Moon. I'll dig it out for you ~ and some stuff on Grand Cross/Grand Square.

Yes, Mars for future, Saturn for past. I found it quite accurate.

I laughed at your story about your husband pulling the chair out and making you fall on your "@rse". I felt bad afterwards, so i thought i'd tell you and apologize. Sorry!

i looked at the list you left on imdb. Hopper Penn was on there, you know, Sean Penn's son? Yes, he was on there, which sort of made me wince because i love Sean Penn, in a "you're an astonishing actor and beautiful man, and you make me want to shag you" type of way. I wonder if Hopper feels such a confliction... i would imagine that would cause remarkable inner struggle! Should look for a Grand Cross!?!

Yes, logically, me freaking out about JonBenet was... well, irrational. But it did, it startled me. I suppose because i was expecting more results for that same Grand Square then one person. One person who was brutally murdered at 6, you know? Yeah... i'm a weirdo.

The chair thing would have been funny if he hadn't kept me up all night with his incredibly loud snoring. I was feeling a bit grumpy.

He's unusual looking, Adrien Brody, but his looks draw me in. He comes across straightforward, decent, not stuck up his own. In short, he's doing it for me.

Now he reminds me of my late uncle, tall and thin, something about the face (dark hair, straight nose) and the penchant for dark suits. Though my uncle was more traditionally handsome. Does Adrien have Irish ancestry? I know the name might be deceiving, and I think his dad is Jewish, but there is something familiar bout his face.

It's funny that you say that because i've always found him oddly attractive.

Do you know what his chart looks like?

... Hold on, i'll stop being lazy and look it up myself...

Sun in Aries
Moon in Virgo
Mercury in Pisces
Venus in Aries
Mars in Aquarius
Jupiter in Aquarius
Saturn in Gemini
Uranus in Libra
Neptune in Sagittarius
Pluto in Libra

And his ASC is unknown because there is not BT.

So, what dost thou think?

Lazy cow.

Here's another one. Natal Mars seconds away from mine. Perfect for a sordid weekend in an expensive hotel.

Opposite yours, and CNJ your Moon. Fireworks.

Are your moons conjunct, or is it too far apart? And is that a Venus square Mars i'm seeing between you and Mr. Brody??? Goodness Gracious! Talk about explosive weekend!

Strangely enough... i can see that... what your son said i mean. Adrien and Richard, maybe in the face... of a black and white photo. In the nose.

Here's a question for you, Blue Moon, why don't you list some men you'd like to... ugh umm... get to know better... ^_^

I know you've said Sean Bean is your favorite bit of "rough". And Adrien, and Richard... who else? Who do you feel you could care for, and who do you think you'd just have steamy shower scenes with?
