Perfect. That would be great, because I don't always verbalize my emotions, and I rely on intelligent people understanding where I'm at anyway. It will also help you catch my more obscure humor. (I do obvious humor, too. It's just that I lose some people with the more clever stuff.)

See, AG, that's what you need, an Englishwoman. We get sarcasm, irony and dark humour (humor to you) and besides which, look at what we have to put up with in our countrymen. No wonder we prefer foreignors.

Time to go and soak in a bath, got a good article for you on humour and astrology. But later.

See, AG, that's what you need, an Englishwoman.

Would love an Englishwoman. I wouldn't mind living there either, and if your bath is big enough I'd even join you there. I love baths.

23 ~ there's a lot of creative potential on there ~ Saturn Opposite Venus (structure and art) cuts through my Air Grand Trine. With Saturn on the Sun, a boot up my lazy butt.

We both have Mercury/Venus, but mine's tighter. (In orb ) But in very different signs.

Moon/Pluto conjunct Moon/Pluto is very powerful. I am also familiar with Mercury conjunct Moon/Pluto, it's not on here, but it's a similar wordless communication vibe. Very handy for Water Void or low in Water types.

Mars/MC. I can sing in tune and read music. But I'm only really professionally useful for organising and maybe writing. Check out Taurus packing the 7th. I'm a good back-up crew.

I also know a lot of Irish traditional favourites if called upon at parties.

BM - actually I really like them. work shoes are always hard to find, I usually end up buying boring shoes for work. Those are perfect for work. They would go with a lot of outfits..gotta run, I've got a grandson to go see to! I will post his info and a picture by monday!

AG - baths for 2 are fun!

Well the taps are problematic if they're at one end. Maybe a day at the spa is required. It'll be good for us low water types.

So a freebie for the ladies ~ a football-loving Yorkshireman

And a photo from the party we had round my place last week

Everyone of them has Pisces Rising, I tested them first. No Moon in Aries. I can't put up with the 'what about me' sh!t. No patience.

This is the spa for us AG:

Ever been there?

Think about it, half way between us (sort of ) and without wishing to sound either parsimonious or insulting to the Icelandic people, the exchange rate should be good.

It looks lovely, and I'd be excited to visit a nation I've not been to; I love experiencing different cultures and exploring.

The Blue Lagoon sounds fantastic. I'd never heard of it before. http://www.bluelagoon.com/
The rates do look quite affordable (moreso for you, of course ; though your travel expenses may be greater).

~~~~ extracts from the article about humour as promised ~~
from
Humour in the Horoscope Part 1 by Frank Clifford
The Astrological Journal (International Journal of the Astrological Association of Great Britain), Vol 60, 6, Nov/Dec 2008.
Solar/Leonine humour
Traditionally the teller of jokes and not the self-depreceating kind.
Examples:
Snobby, self-important view of the world
~> Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) - Leo M.C
Self-involved monologues
~> Ronnie Corbett - Leo ASC
Self-obssessed
~> Tim Curry as Frank-N-Furter - Leo ASC
Superior sneering
~> Kenneth Williams - Leo ASC
Dress-up
~> David Walliams on Little Britain ~ Sun/Moon/Venus in Leo
Master and Servant
~> Jeeves and Wooster
Stephen Fry as Jeeves ~ Virgo Sun
Hugh Laurie as Wooster ~ Leo Sun
Moon/Cancerian humour
Sarcastic, self-protecting; cutting in a defensive, snappy manner.
Taps into the public mood, finds the slapstick and crazy in everday behaviour, sitcoms as an example.
quote:
the great raconteurs have important Moon (right-brain placements). These anecdotes often originate from a deeper understanding of human natuer (Mercury links, juggles and connects; the Moon provokes and emotional response, demands an reaction and moves its audience with pathos and empathy)
Lunar comedians
Bob Hope ~> Moon/Venus in Cancer
Charlie Chaplin ~> Moon rising in Scorpio
David Jason ~> Moon rising in Sag
Lucille Ball ~> Moon rising (also Sun Square Mars for phsyical humour)
Mercury and Gemini and Virgo
Mercury ~ quick wit, repartee, puns, improvisation, comic gestures, one-liners, sound-bites
Gemini ~ word play, word association, a memory for trivia and connections.
Virgo ~ tears things to shreds, jokes about hypochondria, anxiety, and servitude
quote:
In Virgo, we have the idiosyncratic and eccentric type - typical English humour
Comedian examples with Virgo Rising:
~ Pat Coombs (with Sun Rising)
~ John Cleese as Basil Fawlty
~ Woody Allen
~ Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau
Venus and Taurus and Libra
Relationship set-ups, romantic comedies, examples:
Billy Crystal
Cameron Diaz
Elizabeth Montgomery
Comedy couples, examples:
Bob Newhart ~ Mercury/Mars/Moon Rising in Libra & Suzanne Pleshette ~ Moon rising in Libra
The Two Ronnies
Ronnie Barker Sun/Mercury/Mars/MC in Libra
Ronnie Corbett Moon in Taurus Opposite Venus
Mars and Aries and Scorpio
~> Satire, cutting the cr@p, example:
Lenny Bruce, Mars on MC in Libra
~> B!tchy, crude, jaw-droppingly insulting
Examples in Aries Rising:
Bette Midler
Joan Rivers
~> Sexual humour
Leslie Nielsen in the Naked Gun ~ Mars Rising
Benny Hill ~ Mars on MC in Sag
~> Dark Humour ~ Scorpio
Scorpio strong in
The Goons
Monty Python
~~~ Jupiter through to Pluto will feature in next bi-monthly ~~

The lunar type isn't connecting with me, I'll be interested to read his comments on Pluto (as it conjoins my Moon and rules my chart).

Martial humour I prefer more in the Scorpionic variety, makes sense with my T-Square. I'm not above the odd sexual inneundo.

Anything cruel and crass I don't like (example, jokes about disabled people), that to me lacks the subtlety I like, and hints at a lack of emotional intelligence. But the Mercury vibe, definitely.

Leonard Rossiter and the Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin still cracks me up if I watch it on YouTube. There was a programme on T.V about LR recently, his friend said in his funeral eulogy he said: when Leonard reaches the best place, the Pearly Gates better be open on time, and the Heavenly Choir better be in tune. Bet there's some heavy Virgoan vibes on his chart.

I like this one too, it's so well observed, and reminds me a little of a self-confessed ostrich of my acquaintance (it's proved an effective survival strategy):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REpLvjDcM1E

quote:
that's the spirit, George, if nothing else works then a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through

She hates that kind of clever, sarcastic humour, hers is more the Cancerian type. She has Mercury and Venus in that sign. And Frank Clifford is right, it can get a bit mean. My mother and I just aren't in tune for humour.

What's your type of humour, Kick-It?

Satire? Quick wit and repartee? Subtlety? Maybe we haven't covered your favourite just yet. Just a couple of months until the next installment.
