Even if you only wish to share a houseplant, post and keep our beautiful Gaia`s Garden flush with the spirit of spring

O Flower!

© Sarthi

O flower! Attired in pure natural innocence,
Thou are ignorant of thy enchanting aroma,
Unaware of thy Charm,
Dances freely with flirtious breeze,
Hardly cares about world’s joy and sorrow,
Thou are neither selfish nor altruistic
Full of Self yet so Selfless!

I am fascinated by your tranquil disposition,
At dawn thou bath in sun’s rays,
Flirt with colorful butterfly,
Fall a deep sleep in afternoon warmth.
Enjoy melodious sound of chirping birds

Thou lover, up there - the sky,
Gazes you with intense admiration,
He kisses you tenderly through his winds,
Thou spread thy fragrances in his arms,
He grows enamored of thy presence,
What a beautiful bond!

Thy fall comes – autumn arrives,
Still thou remain full of life as ever before,
Not worried; not shaken a bit
Simply falls, without uttering a
Single word to your lover to save you
from getting withered.

Thou unconditional acceptance is captivating,
O soft hearted beauty, thy passive life is
Exquisite treasure of green emotions.

Sure did!
We still have some set up to do (fox, raccoon, and hawk prevention, for the most part), but it's up.

Honestly, I'm having some coop regret
I wish we had gotten a bigger one. We started running out of time and panicked and bought a prefab. We're already making plans for a bigger one next year, though...

I'm having a work from home day today (my boss has agreed to two a week - my back's kind of sucking now that I've reached the third trimester), and on my way back from dropping off the girls I got a call from the Post Office. The chicks were in!

Two Easter Eggers and two Welsummers, apparently happy and healthy

I had to take the top off of the food and "peck" around in it with my fingers so they could find it. We used corn cob bedding (our Southern States only had small bags of pine shavings left), and they kept trying to eat it.
I'll put the top back on now that they know that's what they're supposed to munch on...
They kept pecking at the Mason jar on the waterer and freaked out when I tried to dip their beaks, so I instead dipped my finger in, let them drink off of that, and led them back over to the water. The the Easter Eggers (I'm guessing the lighter chicks) caught on more quickly than the Welsumers.

They kept ambling around, so I put their heater pack and the our (shiny!) plastic thermometer under the heat lamp to lure them over.

Finally, after a busy morning (er...10 minutes), they conked out.

They're adorable! I hope we can take good care of them...and I'm already scouting for a rooster.

It's been a little nippy at night (40s). Two years ago, it snowed here in April.

We have a hard freeze ie 20`s each night but typical of our early spring. We always have another good snow between now and May15th.

Spring is beginning to sort her self out moreso here.

The asparagus and rhubarb is poking it`s head up, peach blossoms scenting the air, robins pulling worms and spring flowers popping up everywhere

Aww Thunder He seems like he's a tough cookie. Nice that he has such a loving guardian too. I bet you are super pooped after everything though.

Yeah, the braided hibiscuses are quite pretty. I'm going to stick with mostly potted things this year, so I can take them with me wherever i might go.

I bought the sweetest windchime today. Of all places, Home Depot. It has a hand blown glass globe and it is swirly purples and solar lit with changing colors. It was only $20 which is cheap considering. For me a lot with Tbirds insulin and meds tho I HAD to have it.

Can`t wait `til tonight to see how it lights up!
