Well, Acoustic God, I usually prefer dining a deux.

Pix...you are so sweet. I would be proud to be your mentor. If only I had time to tell you about my latest adventures...whoa baby. I don't know if Archaeologists have ALL the fun in the world, but I'd bet big money that we have MOST of it. I'll try to get back and talk to you more often. Bye for now.

Hi Pixelpixie -

Yes, I reviewed your pictures and there is definitely a resemblance. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of pictures of myself. You are going to have to copy/paste and put these up in the address section to get the pictures. They are all of myself and my daughter - when I was younger (your age), until more recently. These pictures don't quite show that I have a very thin face, longish nose. Also, I danced (ballet) in a company when I was younger. Looks like you are also involved in something like that.

Hi Pixelpixie -

Did you notice my little pit pull in one of the pictures, the one I have mentioned before?

Any way, I am Aries sun, moon, with cap rising. Guess we don't share too much astrologically. There is a resemblance.

You are in some kind of entertainment industry? What do you do?

Regards,

Well, thanks for asking.
I suppose, at the grassroots level...
I sing in a band. We are performing on the 13th, at a Tiger's party. A real tiger!
I am getting more and more nervous as the time comes up.. What if we feedback, or I hit a high note the animal doesn't like.... or a guitar effect....
I am nervous, as I have never been around a wild animal, and I hope they have him restrained in some way... there will apparently be hundreds of people there.... plus a band ( us) and I don't know how the tiger will respond... Purely the owner's ida to have such a big party for him.

Aside from that, I have a regular job.
And I do art stuff.... working on a painting for my friend, a huge one for his main room wall.
All these things to test me. My confidence is rocky, but I know the way to make it better is to overcome,do what is expected, beyond expectations and do a good job.

Your dog looks like an angel.

Hey Pixie while browsing for tiger pics I found this!!! Thought you might like some more info on domestic Tigers, its a really cool site an the owner sounds lovely, just thought you might like it!
http://www.qadesh.com/

Sadly, the tiger died in 2004, but theres still alot of info about tigers around the site. He talks about the massive size, friendliness of the tiger, and raising awareness about looking after them... I found it really interesting!
(Also she lived in Canada!!)
I hope the tiger you see is looked after as well as this one was!
Lots of luck and confidence for ya!

Aw, thanks SG, that was nice to hear.
It's funny that we are both sensitive to the words we chose when writing posts to one another.. for instance, over in Astrology, when I responded to your situation, I said you were opinionated.. and then a bunch of nice things.. I thought I wanted to clarify after I wrote it, as 'opinionated' means so many things...
I obviously meant it in the nice way.. as in you have well thought opinions, and compassionate ones as well... and you are not afraid to voice them which is a very strong and good characteristic to have, especially for a sensitive person, I can totally identify with that.. if no one knows how you stand, and that certain things are not kosher, then stand up and talk about it, in a respectful way, in order to respect and protect yourself, or else things resonate until they are cleared.
Much better to live within yourself without others projections floating around.. but so hard to do purely.
That is what I meant by opinionated, and I didn't want to bump that whole thread up now that it is in a different direction now.
Thank you for the kind words, as always.

By the way Tiger party; It is forecasted to rain all weekend.. it is an outdoor party.. I haven't heard talk of cancellation.. but who knows??????

thank u pix yes i understand u, and even if u hadnt liked my post, i think a lot of people didnt, i would still understand , it is easy to speak but more difficult to listen and understand, and to live with yourself as an opinionated person. no one enjoys living with opinionated people, and sometimes it can be difficult being one i think

i think the party thrower person wants to see u and the tiger dancing in the rain to your songs. it sounds like a bash.

Well! I figured you were all on the edge of your seats about my Tiger party....lol...
Naw, I just wanted to share.
So, As I said before, I was concerned initially because I'd heard reports that the tiger would just run around loose, or be tied up with the rest of the people.. it turns out he lives in a big ol' set up barn for him, and he is a big sweetie-cat. I mean BIG!!! Have you ever seen a tiger close up? Some even went in his pen, and it was certainly interesting!
I didn't.. but I got my hubby to take my pic when I was in front of it, and just in time for the pic, he yawned really big, so he looks fierce. I hope it turns out, but it is regular film. When we develop it, I'll scan it and post it.
The show went really well. We sounded great outside, and considering next week we play at a local festival, I am glad our outside sound is figured out. Next week will be a big one. People other than 'bar people' will be there.. as it is mid afternoon. My work place peeps will be there too. *I am nervous!*
Anyway. It was a fun night, had a great time. Interesting experience.
My son is finally home now too and I haven't felt this content and just pure happy in a while.

Who needs Soul Unions when you've got PP?

I'm doing alright. Been dealing with an argument between my Virgo seudo-boss, and my Aries roommate. My roommate and I have been working informally under the table for him (not literally under the table, lol ) Both have serious problems with interpersonal relations, and both have valid points in this dispute. The Virgo isn't being honest or specific with what his problem with my roommate is, so it's a convoluted mess and I'm stuck in between. My aries roommate is handling this with unusual calm. It's not that he's not upset, it's that he's not ranting and raving upset as is typically the case when he feels slighted. Usually as he processes his arguments he comes into my room every two seconds to tell me his latest "gotcha" line (which is typically off-topic and not relevant to the argument he's having). This time I'm admittedly avoiding him a touch, but he's not nearly as needy as usual. Anyway, that's the only drama in my life right now.

I found it amusing yesterday when I called a female Cancerian friend of mine that she has a bit of an emotional burden right now in that she's been dating an Aries, and she still likes me. She sounded annoyed when she found out it was me, and I was astounded that she was forthright with what she was feeling. I tried to calm her, and let her know that I wasn't looking for anything. I just wanted company, really.

There are so many facets of this story that I want to tell, but I don't know how to organize it. Ok, I'm just going to write for a while. Normally I don't just write and write like this, but I've been quiet lately, so I'll indulge.

The cancer and I met at a ministry I help out with. It's my only real connection to church in any way. The ministry feeds the homeless in SAn Francisco and another guy (Sag) and I lead the music. She's an intern for them. The first year I went her and I always flirted but never got together. I still smoked at the time, and I just felt like I wouldn't be a worthy boyfriend for her.

Then I went away for a while (over a year). I was a bit disillusioned with their leadership (hypocrisy, of course -no drama or anything; I just silently disagreed with a few things), and I was a bit astounded by the fact that I never felt anything spiritually from that group. I would have thought that I would feel something from my association with them.

So anyway, I decided to join them again a number of months ago. My cancer had gotten involved with a new Aries intern (the brother of another former intern, her best friend, who was killed in a car accident [too many details?]). She's telling me now/yesterday that they were getting pretty serious before, talking about marriage and so forth. She agreed with my saying that's a bit quick.

So yesterday she was saying that she and him had just broken up (as an excuse to keep her distance from me). She thought I was formally asking her out or something, so I let her know I was just asking because I wanted the company. She said that her and the Aries might get back together again, and I told her that in a general sense that nothing's certain. It's not certain that her and him will work out, and it's not certain that she and I would work out (I'm still hesitant that I'm too worldly for her). I joked that I might be too sexy for her.

So the point of all that is to say that it was/is nice being someone's temptation. Cancerrg says it's hard to woo a Cancerian woman...right! lol

Well, that's a long letter, isn't it? I like to think you Scorpios like it (or at least don't mind), though.

I hope all is well with you,

AG

YES!!!
I love long letters!
Nothing like a PP, I know.
So you got yourself a little Cancerian crush. Interesting. You'll have to let me know how that plays out. Opposite action and all that.
We had a work function yesterday, and the wine was lovely.
It's funny.. because I have crushes on lots of people. No serious ones, just like... 'oh, I love these people', kind of crushes. Most are married, as am I.... but its one of those things.. there will be silent flirting, eye contact, flirty conversations, me touching them when I talk.... little casual body contact etc. I love that stuff.. I get a rush.
I always have. It's like there is an electrical/kinetic field radiating from me, encapsulating anyone within six feet. Okay, I was drunk, so I really envisioned the field. BUt I hadn't thought of it much...until I noticed. I can almost will people to me. I have to play with that some more.
*Use the force, Luke*

lol...ah, the fun of being magnetic.

That's interesting, the six feet field of attraction. Imagination can cause reality, so there may be more power there than you know. Reminds me of NLP, which is both fascinating and a little scary (I don't use it), but I'm happy to have knowledge of it (so it can't be used on me without my consent).

I seem to attract Cancers. It never works out, though. They love me til they get to worrying about me as a threat to their financial stability/security. That's why I've been thinking about other water signs since joining here. It's a tough one.

Met a Cancer with Leo rising today (according to her). She didn't seem attracted to me at all. My Virgo boss thinks that he'll get somewhere with her since he helped her remove her kitchen floor. I doubt it, though.

The colors she was decorating her house in, and the clothes she wore suggested she was an earth sign (except for the absence of a bra). Was interesting to observe. Sure mixed a strong drink, though. I'm still buzzed almost two hours later.

Well, once again, I hope all is well with you,

AG

Hi Doll!
Yes! I remember your pictures XOXOXO

The coloured mascaras trend.... If you are going for drama, it is a good idea.. not for every day though.
You can always combine regular ( ie; black, or brown black) with the burgundy just at the tips. Or the edges of your eyes... Or go for a monochromatic look, with burgundy all around your eyes, and the mascara finishing the look ( go for neutral lips though, and little blush.. maybe a bit of bronzer)
I think what would look striking on you would be a bronze coloured mascara!!!!
Coloured mascara use was just in the last Cosmo magazine too!
I like it in a mostly monochromatic colour scheme, but then again, I love make up drama.
Good luck!!
P.S Wish me luck on my show tomorrow!!!!! It's a pretty big one! Lots of local exposure. Off to band practice now!

Thankyou!!!!
Yes.. I wondered if it would be a little to dramatic!!
I adore using chocolatey colours, and have like 5 different purple/lilac eyeshadows which I love to use too... so I like the idea of a bronze mascara!! I havent heard of that before actually! Ill have to look in to it.. thnks very much for the tips!
And yup, I like using burgandy colours too, I used to mix a burgandy eye shadow with a grey/blue colour which looked really nice, but mostly at the moment Im using either just a brown sparkly shadow with purple and brown eye liner and I really like doing this little thing which totally brightens up your eyes... you may like to try it.. where you use a not sparkly but shiny looking pale gold (or you could use silver) eye cream or liner and just put a small soft line of it under the front corner under your eye (you know just before the lashes start) and kind of smooth it in so it fades to the side under the lashes and if you want you can do a little on the beginning of your eyelid too! It looks really nice, especially with dark eyeliner and mascara!
Sorry if you already know this lol!! Also I *love* using a glossy clear eye gel (or Vaseline!) over the eyelid, although it looks lovely at first it eventually kind of melts the makeup into creases!!! But still
looks ok...!!
Hehe I makeup too!! Always checking out the new products (especially for eyes) in the mags!
Thanks for the tips gorgeous! Hope the gig went fanatastic today! Lots of luck if u havent done it yet!!!

Oh, honey!!!
It was awesome!!!!
I was concerned, as I always am before a show.. but even more with this one, because of the exposure.. nore than just playing at a bar.. there were families enjoying the festival, co workers, friends, strangers, business people...
We attracted a crowd, and some sdtayed for the whole performance, instead of walking on like alot did to check out the rest oif the festival...
The sound guy knows what he is doing, and gave me a wicked compliment. ( Leo rising beams)and even after wards, as I walked through the festival, later on, people recognized me and approached me to tell me how good it sounded!!!!
YAY!!!
It was a very productive and positive day, I am still on a high.
I am burnt though.. very hot day.

The inner corner trick!!! Yes!! I love that. it really opens the eye!!! I suggest it to women who have dark pigment around their eyelids.. a light shimmery colour just at the inner corners.
YAY!
I loooooooooooove makeup!
This part sucks about the sun.. MY LIPS ARE BURNED!!!! I hate it. Stupid gloss.

Im hopefully going down with my Dad to stay with my sister tomorrow, which will be so cool to see her!! Exciting times!!
(PS Looks like a Virgo!!)

Hahaa!! Watched Mr Deeds on tv last night... Adam Sandler again was frickin hilarious!! And Steve Buscemi was sooo funny to Crazy Eyes!!!!
