The new movie is opening 4th of June. We saw Shrek two with my three year old daughter yesterday, and the advert for Harry Potter came on.. I was like-to my husband- "You are taking me, er, I mean Season,(my son)aren't you?"
I am so enamoured by these characters. I read all the books really quickly, though I didn't want them to end. I love the people who say... "yeah but the characters in the movie are going through puberty and growing up." They obviously don't have a clue, as they also grow up in the books. The last book- Order of the Pheonix, I read in two days. We're talking 766 pages!! I so love this world. It feels like home to me. I don't care if it makes me a loser, I embrace my loser-dom if it means I can read these books and watch them come to life on the screen. Anyone hear when the next one's (book) coming?
My dream is that the characters grow up even more, and their adventures continue and turn into more adult adventures.. spinoffs, whatever. I get attached to beloved characters and I always want to see their evolution.

Pixel, did you see the very end of Shrek (after credits began rolling)?

I'm so happy to have stumbled onto this string. I devoured these books. I'm reading Prisoner of Azkaban to my kids now so they will have a heads-up at the movie.

I think the thrid one was my favorite book, with the fifth bringing up a close second.

JK Rowling has an amazing gift to get 9 year olds to read 800 page books in this day and age. Her diligence is inspiring as a mother and a woman.

it come sout on the 10th here i can't wait!

i totally agree about JK i love how she hasnt conformed to what people think should happen, like when they wanted her to scale them down so that kids wouldn't be too frightened, she just said that if they have to change the ratings they will...i think the books are so much better for it!

i love Harry Potter!!!

I'm such a huge HP fan. I'm also a pretty big slash fan, but that's a different story... (Remus/Sirius... theirloveissocanon!).

Tom Riddle/Voldemort is SUCH a Scorpio. How could he not be? He's the epitome of all of the bad things a Scorpio can become should they choose the wrong path. And I agree, Ron definitly has an Aries moon. And, if you do a birth chart for Ron (March 2nd, 1980), you also find out that his moon actually would be in Aries!

Oh, and all of seven books aren't completed. What Ika saw was JK Rowling holding up the last chapter of the 7th book.

Ha hahahaa, Randall...
Yes, been a while since I visited here..
Yeah, I saw the ending ( I love mysteries, so I always stay after people leave) I saw the 'freak babies'

I absolutely loved Harry Potter too.I mean, my ...er, son loved it..... yeah, no, I friggin' loved it, I preferred this darker style, now that the movie has been set, the tone determined, the characters in real life, as opposed to the vision in the book, have been established, and this darker tone was perfect for their evolution, I felt. Good change in direction, and the cinematography was great! Hidden elements.
Next critique.. Spiderman two.

*to continue*
Donkey has to get several jobs!

I said the next critique would be of Spiderman 2, and by golly, here it is! ( did I just say 'By Golly?' You can tell I was reading a period drama .... mayhap. ....anyway)

Spiderman 2 was wicked good. They spent less time introducing and setting up (naturally) and it was full of emotions, angst, excellent fighting sequences and solidarity, great character development, even with the extras, and of course, romance, which makes for a great date movie. Lots of foreshadow, and might I add, in the introductory sequence, beginning the movie, the illustrations were incredible. Some majorly talented comic illustrators around. Solid talent!
YAY SPIDERMAN! They did such an excellent job, I think! The series is better than any other mass produced pop-culture movie I've seen.
If you haven't yet, go see it. Plus..... I would love to stare into Toby Maguire's clear blue eyes and bite his plump little lips.*and touch his spider sensible tight body*
But I digress.

I simply LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!
I have read all the books at least 7 times (and I'm still at it!).Harry's world is simply too captivating,it's....well MAGIC!
And I totally agree with whoever said that these books have a lot of spiritual stuff in them, I mean how can they not?
I noticed something of numerological significance all of a sudden...Harry comes back to his world at the age of 11...Master number, isn't it? And the final show-down between him and Voldemort is gonna be when he is 17...Number of immortality and Saturn...
Anyone else noticing the links?
I was not the least bit surprised when I found out Harry was Leo...it's obvious isn't it? Although I agree with the people who say he's got a scorp moon.Voldemort is either Leo sun/Scorp moon or Scorp Sun/Leo moon...I can't decide.
And I love Ron n Hermione's relationship, they so belong together!Hermione should be a virgo..very logical, but Ron on the other hand is a bit confusing although Pisces sun/Aries moon seems to fit...Dumbledore on the other hand is definitely an Aquarian (a genius but a bit crazy ) and seems to have well placed Scorpio in his chart (he radiates power, remember?).
And I SIMPLY REFUSE TO BELIEVE that Harry will die in the 7th book...J.K Rowling cannot be so cruel..nor can life!!! Call me a fool to believe in happy endings, but I just simply K-NOW that Harry will overcome Voldemort and it's gonna be a new beginning for the wizarding world.
Wonder how many people agree or disagree with me...
Newayz...peace..

Spoiler Alert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the book a few days ago. The half blood prince is not one of the students - its a teacher - Snape. And he's not a Prince. Also, none of the students die. Dumbledore does. Snape kills him.

Oh and no one is gay. So far. Sorry.

*** SPOILERS ***

i completely forgot about this topic! i finished the book and i thought it was great. it was just how i thought it should be right before the finale. i cannot wait till the next book because it will the first not to take place at hogwarts, it will be interesting to see how Harry finds out about where the rest of Voldemorts souls are and how he plans to get them. it was really good...and i wasn't really that surprised although still shaken by Dumbledore's death, i kinda thought that it would have to happen so that Harry would have to stand up to the plate.

can't wait to hear what you guys think
