Losing weight is great but not on one's face until the skin snaps back, and I have lost about 120 pounds. Still, I am most likely the heaviest person at LL, and not young like many of you are. I guess I am shy about my pictures too, because I used to be buff and fit, but being disabled has taken its toll. It is also hard to hide my facial palsy, so smiling I rarely do in pics. And...those in my personal circle in real life are used to me sporting a beard and mustache...but I feel I would get ridiculed if I posted such here. {Beardedness runs in my family for females too, and especially Intersexlike myself.) So when I have posted it has been tiny pictures which hide my five o'clock shadow or scruffies. OK...let me find some "safe" ones.... My very thick glasses (1/2 to 3/4 inch thick) did not help. "deleted" In times past I would have been called a bearded lady, a circus freak. Even in our modern times I must hide or remove it. Beards and mustaches are still not acceptable on women even these days, even when natural. I am quite comfortable being able to look either male or female or a blend. (circa late 1840s to 50s I was also a Spiritist (not Spiritualist)psychic medium, which I continued to be after I left the circus after my husband a dwarf, was killed trying to rescue a baby elephant in a fire. I had a daughter who was normal. I was stomped/run over to death by a runaway horse and carriage.
