envy is a universal emotion. i very much doubt anyone has completely escaped it...whatever their planets or self esteem! it is so universal that there is a commandment against it - in fact more than one address this all too common phenomenon.

all signs are capable of it. anyone who has gone through life seeing others getting what they have been denied will experience it, and the more thoroughly they have been denied from an early age, especially if they were continually punished for things they saw their parents or others doing, the more ingrained it becomes.

personally i think aqua is less likely to fall into this "trap" than many of the other signs, but they are certainly not immune. aqua is more likely to be sure they know what is good for everyone else when their shadow takes over, than to stew about what others have that they don't.

i think the way to escape it is to realize everyone is really the same. everyone has problems whether they're rich, beautiful, smart, charming. but yeah i agree everyone is capable of it.

I heard a definition once that made me more comfortable around the envy/jelousy thing:

Envy is healthy because it is only a (loving) acknowledgement of what you would also like to experience.

Jelously is unhealthy as it is rooted in wishing to (unlovingly) deny another of what they are experiencing.

Envy is based in a confidence that you also can experience this thing, that that option IS equally available to you, and that there is no lack, so you do not wish to detract it from another. The other - jelousy - is based in the fear that it is not available to you, that there is somehow a lack, and therefore a fear develops that you will be denied, or that the resource will run dry.

I thought it was a nice distinction, it illiminates the shame factor

Well this one at first wanted all or nothing, then I said let's be friends half thinking I'd never hear from him again, but I'm not liking the way he's holding onto me. He came to my door uninvited AGAIN. Daily thing now..(?) Still didn't open it, esp since he called yesterday and hung up when I answered (I always answer my phone and this is his pet peeve cos he screens ALL of his phone calls no exception, so I know he was trying to get to me, I couldn't care less if someone hung up).
I'm getting to feeling pluto asc is a bit stubborn He knows my boundaries.

I don't know if that would be fair to you and others as my main experiences are with Pluto in Virgo on Asc, not Scorp, so that's what I will be writing about.
They like to think of themselves as quite strong in most (all?) ways, and they keep telling themselves what they need to hear to pump up their insecurities (Virgo is not secure). They are not keen to admit weakness as that makes them feel open to attack, and that is the thing they want to avoid at all costs, they are hyper sensitively alert to all potential threats and overreact in a caustic manner that evades things 'as they really are' meaning they continuously fail to take the big picture into acct. Virgo Pluto is small minded, focused and ordered, it's good with details and research, a contained mindset that obeys orders and keeps others in line, but it doesn't carry through well to personal relations unless there's another who can either calm them down or is very similar in that way and will of course follow through with their stated plan of action. It is anxiety-ridden. They need plans followed to the T if you do not follow along then they are not happy as they are sent into a tailspin and it feels like loss of control, they're not having that. Kurt Cobain had Pluto on Virgo Asc, he doesn't fit the same bill as the people I've known. http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Cobain,_Kurt His chart is personified by h6 ruler uranus conj pluto on asc opp pisces placements in the 6th/7th, that's what his bio is all about.

I'm not speaking to the totality of a person I'm speaking to one placement, unless stated otherwise. People often forget that and take what I write too personally.

I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate?
