When I am done, I am going to pick up Thai, Vietnamese, Modern Hebrew, and maybe German.

My Mercury is in Capricorn (2 degrees) 9th House, opposed Jupiter in Cancer (3 degrees) 3rd House.

Ahh I'd love to learn latin and greek. Ancient stuff is always fun Im glad to hear a different mercury! hahah We have the same thing but flipped and a house moved over! Mine is jupiter(2degRx) 9th house opposing my mercury in cap (9deg) 4th house haha we must be close in age or something ^_^
Also what do the degrees mean? Do they matter?

Oooh! lol not even close to me! but! we are both year of the snake ^_^ Snakes I read are good at linguistics.
Also I was gonna ask if yu had Sag in yu because yu mentioned the whole religious aspect to languages. And ya know Sag is like one of the spiritual signs of astrology.

Wow, I'm so old. I forgot it has been long enough for more Snakes to have been born.

Yes, on the Sag thing BTW. All my Sag stuff is in my 8th house (excluding my 9th house ruler), so I love discovering all the hidden treasures we inherit from spiritual modalities after they die. Even when I graduated from massage school, I ended up specializing in Hawaiian temple style Kahuna bodywork.

I never thought about that until now.

I have my stellium in Capricorn. I only read that saturn is good for hard grammar. I was made to learn Japanese in school, I did ok but don't remember much now as I stopped as soon as I could. I took Swedish as an elective in my undergrad for two years and have managed to retain much more due to my love of Viking rock and metal in Norwegian.

Saturn is also the final dispositor of my mercury.

i love only one language...japanese

i took spanish and chinese in high school...i aced the classes but i couldnt focus on them and study them at home the way i can with japanese

i dont know what could show that, but i have gem asc, leo moon in the 3rd house, sag mercury conjunct scorpio sun, and mercury square moon....maybe this shows my knack for learning languages?? and i really pick up languages really well, although i wont remember what i learned for much longer (unless its japanese)

oh and btw, i was born 1989, another year of the snake

to add to my thing about learning japanese, i'm currently a member of 3 language learning sites and an unknown number of language learning pages have been liked on FB

I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate?

when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history

it is hard to learn but the system for the words themselves are really easy...kind of like spanish, all vowels are always pronounced the same...the hardest part is learning to read the kanji

I always felt rushed in classes like I wanted to read into things a bit more and understand why etc... But in class its like yu just learn it for that moment to pass the test!

9th house stellium--5 planets, Vesta, Midheaven
Neptune, Mercury, Midheaven in Sagittarius
(1st), 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th house rulers in 9th
9th house ruler in 7th
Jupiter at home in 9th and also the strongest planet in the chart

The message is very clear. My destiny lies somewhere else. I've known this all my life.

Capacity for languages? Good memory and a lot of motivation. Years of practice if you want to be fluent.

In my opinion, foreign languages belong to the 9th house.

It is soooo fn cool being able to only speak one language and not care one flick of dust about the others!

They tried to teach me French in high school. hahahaha! boorinnngggggggg

I know some spanish words from listening to spanish tunes. like Sangre means Blood. I would just go around in spanish speaking countries yelling SANGRE SANGRE!

That is all I would need to know. Then all of these hot guys would come up to me and start feeding me grapes.

I would go on the Efile Tower and Scream "Jaime Poussoin". Then all of the french lads would start cleaning my heels.
