hard to say, both genders have their pros and cons equally. though as a man i have envied womens power over us,and how ya'll are the ones who whether you want to admit or not have all the power in relationships,we as guys have to prove ourselves and jump through hoops to win your affections,we have to cross the room and face rejection, i think this an area women can say think god i am a woman.

Hmmm here again I find the dichotomy - I get along about equally well with women and men. I think it boils down to the fact that while my chart overall is very masculine, I have quite a few hyperfeminine placements and aspects - sun conjunct Venus, moon in Pisces.

I feel this way, totally. I think it is the passive Cancer moon, mostly unaspected so no hard aspects like Saturn which makes it uptight. I think this kind of moon likes being a woman and having the man come after her

I have a capricorn moon, and I am okay being a woman, I don't honestly value one gender more than the others, or think that men or women have it easier than the other... I'm glad to be a woman though. I love taking care of children, cooking, listening to people's probles and help them out with it or just be there for them. At least that's what I love about being a woman, I love how women can be sensitive, caring being and are not afraid to show it. But then again that might just be my cancer ascendant talking. However I've never felt at ease with being a "sexy" woman. I do not care much about being the most beautiful using things such as make up and such.. but other aspects might explain this.
Funny enough, my mom is a moon in leo, and she is always saying how she should have been a man. She sometimes even considered herself a she male, some sort of super powered being who can be both a man and a woman. she doesn't neglect her feminity apparence wise but she does sort f shut it down emotionnally, and kind of hates being a woman in the society nowadays.

My best friend (Cancer) is always saying; I'm a feminine man and you're a masculine woman. Masculine men and me? I guess we've always been at daggers drawn with each other.. naturally.

Much recognition in feeling with the words of RegardesPlatero on the first page of this thread.

Scorp-Moon square Aqua-Mars/NN is what I have.

While I certainly do have issues with that weird concept of having a body and physicality (though a very intriguing and fascinating concept nevertheless), I feel "right" as a woman, even though I donīt do the girly stuff and am probably different than most women in what I do or don`t do, but it still just feels "right".

I tend to be the same way. I do some of the girly stuff, occasionally. I like taking care of my skin, my hair, exercising, etc, for myself - although I tend to forget, and keep forgetting to moisturize lately (not a good age to be forgetting that :/ ). When it's expected of me, just because I'm a woman.. nah, I don't go along with that.

I also don't obsess over most men. I occasionally flip, or have felt very lonely at times, but unless certain things just really changed me as a kid, I've never remembered being programmed to go out and meet boys/men. For the most part, I could take them or leave them, although they can make nice friends. My mother admitted that she was impressed that I could just be friends with a guy.

Ehhhh I think we should also looked at other things.
I am a Gemini Moon and I have mixed feelings about the archetype of women. No, I don't have aggression towards men but I'd rather be respected for my mind rather than my appearance. I'd rather be treat as someone's equal opposed to be treated like a "girl". In contrast my sun, mars and asc are extra feminine signs; I don't hate looking like a women; thats the best part about being a girl. However as soon as a guy tells me he finds me attractive I am instantly turned off if its a first meeting. The best representation of me would be a rugby player in platform heels.

I feel extremely comfortable being a woman. Took me a good while to get here (initially I was a tomboy kid and found men's sexual attraction to me during adolescence to be pretty horrifying for a while), but I like where I'm at and I feel comfortable with both the feminine and masculine aspects of my personality. I feel I know how to blend them well and use them interchangeably whether it makes people around me uncomfortable or not.

Moon in Aquarius (5th house)
Venus in Aries (7th house)
Mars in Pisces (sextile Venus) (6th house)
Chart ruler Mercury (8th house)

when I was little like others I was a bit of a tomboy... I played sports and loved the outdoors more. Then I found technology. Lol

my moon sign is Sagittarius square Saturn
and conjuct Jupiter (other little aspects )

I'm very casual towards being a girl. Compared topmost people, I'm not all "ooh I'm so feminine I love being this and that it lets me dk this and thst:..." wrong. The only difference between being a woman to me is that I get to wear makeup and the muscle difference between guys and girls. Ok so there are a few other roles...likenthe girl gets pregnant and has her period but other than that there is no difference. If I was a male I could still talk to people about feelings and whatever other stereotypes the posters listed. (sorry I don't remember) Sagittarius is a very masculine sign and my mars is also scorpio...s very feminine sign. Im not against anyone in general but I don't like hugging people or showing skin because I know it probably turns them on.. I don't like to hug strange people because why would I want someone I'm not intimate with to derive pleasure from me and a simple hug. ? This is just me' though. My mom is a moon leovwith mars Pisces and she's fine hugging anyone.

My Moon is in Sagittarius in the 2nd house--- I've said before that I don't feel like a Sag Moon AT ALL! I love being a woman. I'm very maternal and "motherly"... cooking, taking care of people, just nurturing in general.. love it. When I was very young, up until I was 7 I'd say.. I was very girly.. always got dressed up, wore stockings.. haha. Then I went through my tomboy phase until I was around 12, only cared about recess and playing kickball. Then I got back into my girly phase. I always make sure I look "together" before I go anywhere, and I have fun doing it! I don't go to extremes, mind you. I don't obsess over it or spend ludicrous amounts of money on that sort of stuff.. but I embrace the feminine very much. I do break from the stereotypical girly archtype in that I love sports; not playing them, per se.. but watching! Football, basketball.. love that too.

In terms of how I view men and women..
Ehh, my Moon makes an opposition to Mars as well and I had a horrible mother so I do in general have a tougher time with other women.. have a hard time trusting them, also. Or well, excuse me.. certain types, rather. My mother is very aggressive, domineering, catty and confrontational, so I generally try to avoid those types. Don't get on too well with them. In terms of men.. don't have a problem with most. I don't dislike men or are wary of them at first meeting. I know there are good and bad with all. So, the ones that I get a bad vibe from I make sure to keep my distance.. but suprisingly I haven't had any really bad experiences with men. Have had worse with other women.. guess that's the Mars in my opposition!

Awww shucks olivia!!!

--

This probably a bit off topic.... but.......

I think most girls (or at least the ones who have gone on to higher education) go through a phase in their lives - when they read feminist writings, journal articles, books etc. I think this is very normal and very common. I did a gender studies subject at one point and went through this phase as well.

But later in life, in my experience - you also go through a phase where you begin to have a mind of your own and criticise all the things you read.. or at least -assess- them analytically - rather then simply accept what you are reading as though you are being spoon-fed the information.

The truth is there are radical views in all areas.. as well as feminism. Just like there are radical religious fundamentalists. There are also radical feminists out there. There's a saying in a different language that "not everything sold at the market - is edible".. and the point of the saying is that - basically you can't consume everything you see.. You have to figure out whether it is actually *edible* first. I think this also applies to the things we read.

One thing that bothers me is when a person (male or female) reads a paper on a particular topic, whether it is gender-related or something entirely different - historical or astrological... whatever! (The topic is besides the point!) -- and after having read the paper.. they somehow immediately acquire the view that "WOWWWW I am now enlightened!! This paper is so true... It is 100% true.. It's explains *everything*!!!!".

This bothers me because - I really think it is important for people to be able to ANALYSE a view or a perspective -before they simply jump on the bandwagon and acquire that view. Because no matter what the view is... there will always be other papers and books out there that criticise that perspective...
Before you decide to GO all OUT and change your religion or your take on life -- because of something you read (eg "he's just not that into you")..... you should at least take a peek at the criticism *first* you know?
So that you understand both sides.

I think it is because the moon is how one relates to being female.

I have Mars in Cancer, in the Fall. I have a very hard time with aggression and anger. I attribute this to the Fall position. I say this only to say that I wonder if a woman's comfort level with her gender and female self is related to her moon sign( and aspects too)

Thanks for your help. Please add details, if you care to, so I can feel out your Moon position. One only has one's own placement to draw from unless one gets experiences from others.

I have a Cancer Moon too but I don't feel very feminine at all. I don't feel uncomfotable but I'm a bit awkward at times. I never wanted to be a man or anyone else for that matter. But I also don't feel womanly. I always feel I must be strong...I don't cry in front of others if I can avoid it and I don't want anyone to know my weaknesses. Not even my mother or best friends.

Moon in Gemini in 12th House.

What does that mean?

Is Gemini a masculine sign? She's tough as a brick wall.

I'd like to be a guy! If I could have some magic lamp i'd wish for that. Well i'd wish that i could change my sex at will whenever i wanted so i could be both in case i didn't like one over the other sometimes. I feel like i'd be so much better if i were a guy. I want people to take me seriously! I want to make the moves. I don't like having periods its an inconvenience! I think about this quite a bit when im in a bad mood (being a guy). I like guys they are easier to talk to about random stuff. Girls make faces at what i like or don't understand me. Even if guys don't understand me i can get away with it easier cos i am a girl though. hm... I want to be friends with girls but i hardly meet any who are compatible
scorpio moon feminine and my sun is feminine too. Oh but i don't feel comfortable with being a 'woman' sometimes. Mostly i feel awkward. I think its just me and not anything to do with my moon and planets though.

Yes, it isn't the most comfortable aspect.
What is funny though is that everytime I look in a mirror I am shocked at how feminine I look. It's the Venus conj Asc. I don't feel it but it looks womanly. So I have no idea if I might be percieved as feminine by others.

Yes Chiron is a very weird planet. It has a strange orbit which may account for it. IT just does all sorts of strange things. Watch it in synastry and you will see SH.

I'm going to open a whole new can of worms here. I think I identify a lot more with the female role

As for relationship power, I'm not sure how that plays out but my attitude is don't talk to me if you don't want to. It's perfectly alright.

I'm not sure I ever felt pressured to approach women when I was single. My attitude was that they either liked me or they didn't. I wasn't going to change anyone's mind. Plus I was fortunate that I had a steady flow of interest in my direction. Oh well.

I did study gender sociology and took a class in feminism in college. I was a social sciences major.
