too funny! I just called out a Mercury in Pisces the other day for being a flat-out liar. However, I almost believe this particular one doesn't really recognize it as lying

My son is a Scorpio and he lies like a rug but never about something important or meaningful and if he gives you his word on something, it can be trusted completely. I'm Pisces and I despise lies and lying. It takes too much darn energy to keep a lie propped up plus you have to remember it too. Who has room in their brain for that? I'm the brutally honest type and many find that offensive. Those that do are what I call "duckers". lol------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. That sounds more like "delusions" rather than lies. ------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. The Truth is the answer to everything. - whereabouts1967@live.com http://whereabouts67.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

Mercury conjunct sun in virgo. Mercury square SaturnI hate lies sooooo much. I'm way too honest for my own good (too blunt..oops!), but that's only because I HATE being lied to, so I don't lie to anyone since "what goes around, comes around". I don't want anyone lying to me, so I don't lie to others. IP: Logged |

To be fair, I've had it happen more than once that I completely distorted and misunderstood a situation. To someone else, it would have seemed like I was lying, but I honestly did not know that I had it wrong. Now, that's not true in every case, but my point is that sometimes people get things wrong, and it's not intentional. Other times, yes, it is absolutely intentional. But not always. I think, too, that different people find different facts important to include. People don't tell every single little thing about a situation. That's not lying. People have different lenses and filter different things. As for myself, I tend to focus more on positives when talking to people in real life. I hold back the negatives. Doesn't mean that I don't feel them. It just takes a lot for me to reveal them openly.

It doesn't matter how "true" you want it to be! Argh!!!! It's so annoying! I did a search even, and found an article on astro and someone talked about their Mercury in Pisces child; even telling people what you believe they want to hear, is also a lie, no matter the intention behind it! Sincerely, a Virgo.[/B]
Friendly advice> before starting making such stupid statement without any foundation, better start study astrology and psychology. All people can lie not only Mercury in Pisces. Also saying that only people who have this placement are liars is the biggest error one can do or say. Astrology does not mean only aspects. Astrology is far more complex than that. IP: Logged |

I dont think mercury in pisces 'Tells Lies' as such.....they just keep a lot of things to themselves, and there is LOT in there... All examples here look more like creating fantasies in the mind and narrating it, rather than Telling Lies... And yeah, they do look at the bigger picture, where these tiny situations in between where they may have to cover up/lie really wont count in the end. And yes, they might say what they think you want to hear, its not decieving, its just an effort to connect and to make you comfortable, only because of the Piscean Compassionate nature. Pisces is not a liar, please. If some people are prone to telling lies they must be having deeper aspects in their natals which make them like that, dont blame it on the Mercury's sign placement. A Virgo has a dry mind, very much involved in the day-to-day chores and responsibilities, it can completely understand the tangible....But it cannot bring feelings, emotions and the Collective into its perspective, it can only see one dimension. Maybe thats why it feels this way Sincerely, Mercury-Venus in Pisces.IP: Logged |

My best friend is Pisces sun/Merc. She is honest to a fault, for the most part. I've known her most of my life.

Yes, honest to a fault, or what I call "brutally honest" like that of a child. Very raw. ------------------ Truth & Integrity in all things. The Truth is the answer to everything. - whereabouts1967@live.com http://whereabouts67.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

Yep. One of my brothers has Virgo Merc and I always catch him lying. He has no Merc/Neptune aspect either. That could be why he's not good at it though, lol. His Merc in the 8th, conjuncts Venus, squares Uranus, trine ASC & Jupiter, and sextiles MC and Saturn. But yes I agree, everyone lies regardless of 'Mercury sign'.

I'm sorry, I should have stated that better. She is not "brutally" honest. I meant, she will tell the truth even if there's a price to be paid for telling it. In other words, if a cop asks her if she was speeding, and she was, she will say YES. She may bend the truth in order to spare someone's feelings. That's where the dishonesty comes in. She's aware that she does it and feels bad about doing even that much, but she feels like it's the lesser of two evils. We've been friends since we were six, so we've gone over this whole thing several times. IP: Logged |

A bit offtopic, but makes a Mercury-Saturn aspect someone very honest (and even blunt)? I haven't experiences with pisces merc though. Well.. I have, but the person wasn't really a liar. He was quite honest but in a more tactful way (contradictory..?)IP: Logged |

We do keep alot to ourselves why shouldnt we? you cant go around trusting every mofo and if anyone knows that its people with Pisces placements. I have been called secretive but never a liar, sometimes I keep my opinion to myself because the truth hurts but if you ask me i keep it all the way 100. IP: Logged |

Maybe someone would care to explain to an unsuspecting reader... One that is not me because i don't care. If mercury in pisces is asked where the utensils are and why they're not in the kitchen.. Why, oh, why must "compassion" or "feelings" about ANYTHING be brought into the mix?
It's very simple. A lie, is a lie, is a lie, is a lie. It is no more complex than that. I'd like to see a celebrity case with Mercury in Pisces up on the stand.. Maybe at the next Lindsay Lohan trial. quote:
MERCURY IN PISCES: er, uh, you see your honor.. She's been clean, honest but we went to a house get together and on our way to the ladies room, lindsay spilled her drink on the wood floor and she slipped and i quickly followed when suddenly, my friend tiffany's arch enemy put a sack of flour on the floor for us to fall into face first but, it turned out it wasn't flour it was face powder and lidsay mentioned that it smelled soooooo good! Like an almond/vanilla--- JUDGE: WAS IT F*CKING COCAINE, OR NOT!!!?!???!! MERCURY IN PISCES: er, uh.... ahem....
