I never knew a gemini who lies. And i am surrounded by them including myself. They are usually honest to a persons face.

My sisters brother in law lies to friends that hes in another country. They think hes traveling around the world and hes rich. He posts statuses on his facebook naming different countries hes in but hes just sitting on the couch watching tv. He even photoshops pictures of him and random women he finds online and makes it look like hes hugging them.

Another pisces i know lied to my mom that he was going to her home country just to get on her good side. Such a liar.

Oh and careful cuz pisces will screw a friends partner behind their back!

They are easy and gullible.

I have a Pisces Sun/Merc and my Mercury's combust. I HATE LIES. Hate them.
My BFF is an Aries with a Pisces Mercury and never once have I in 20 years found her out to be dishonest about anything.

Do I keep secrets? You bet your a$$ I do because a good majority of people are judgemental jerks so no, I don't care to bare my soul. But not speaking isn't lying and I would NEVER tell a lie when asked a direct question.

Do Pisces Mercury people lie? I'm sure some do. Are they the only liars of the Zodiac? Definitely not. And if Pisces Mercs are the only liars you know, you either don't know many people or you haven't caught the others yet. if you truly believe Pisces are the only liars of the zodiac YOU are the Delusional one.

I have Mercury in Pisces, sextile neptune & conjunct Saturn, (7th house).

When I was younger, I had a penchant for telling people what they wanted to hear (which I picked up from my mother, bless her) but I didn't mean it in a bad way. I was like, "I'll finish the assignment by myself!" or "I'll get it, just remind me?" without considering how I'd actually get it. I really wanted to help people but I often took on too much work to realistically or practically help them so I flopped and looked like a liar.

That's the essence of Pisces, OK? They mean well, they just have little clue of how to make those things a reality. Sometimes these thoughts don't cross us, "Is it practical? Can I actually do it? How would I?" etc. Pisces live in dreams, the idea, the kindness of the sentiment etc. And all this may not translate into an action. We make wonderful idealists, and the less mature Pisces will only dream.

I've long out grown making naive promises. I handle what I can and make sure to settle down the details or just keep my mouth shut.

What do you guys do when you are faced with day to day questions, from acquaintances... things like "how are you", "how was your day", "how was your weekend"...?
Or what do you do in random chit-chat situations with people (who are not close to you) and who ask you personal questions, e.g. about your love life...

Or... third scenario... What do you do when you feel someone is being pushy and trying to get you to do something you have no desire to do? e.g. Attend their event/party, whatever...

You don't lie or become highly evasive in such situations?

We must comprehend different types of lying, lying to deceive and then people who change what they believe on a daily or hourly basis and can't keep track of that when ask.
Like some of our politicians that completely forget they were recorded saying what they say they did not say,lol

I've got Mercury in Pisces and I will admit I have a habit of doing this but to me I'm just making sure I'm taking care of someone's feelings. I can see how other people don't understand this. It's more a matter of not wanting to hurt other people, but not realizing that your way of doing that could still end up hurting someone if they see it as lying.

Asteroid LIE is an accurate indicator of a lier with tight conjunction to Mercury or Sun, most likely other aspects too. Much more accurate than Mercury placements or Mercury aspects alone. Asteroid LIE 26955

One case study with Lie conjunct Mercury the native had the medical condition where he lied and couldn't help it.

Polkadotstars, I'm sorry to call you out like this....but you recently posted an example of one of your "white lies" that was so unnecessary, that it seemed insane to me.

You said that a guy at a store thought you were someone else, and instead of telling him you weren't her you just played along and pretended to be her. Your reason was that you thought it would hurt his feelings to know that you were not the girl that he knew. I believe you said you didn't want to "break his heart". ??? That is really weird to me, because why would it hurt him to know that you weren't the girl? Wouldn't it be more hurtful to have a conversation with someone thinking you know them, only to find out later the person was lying/pretending to be someone else?

I think why scenarios like this get to me is that it makes no sense to me, and I truly cannot understand the motivation behind this type of lying. It's pointless. I've been told so many unnecessary lies by Pisceans, when there was no real benefit of lying versus telling the truth. When I read your story about pretending to be the girl, I knew you were a Pisces. This isn't a personal attack on you or other Pisces, it's just an observation of certain behavior that I've seen repeatedly. There is a reason for their bad reputation when it comes to lying, and Pisceans are equally self deceptive about why they lie.

I'm not talking about the "do I look fat" question, because most people lie about that. I don't lie if someone asks me that, and I don't see it as rude if I tell them they do look fat. It's rude to fish for reassurance or compliments, and to put someone in a situation where they feel they have to lie to spare your feelings.

Also, lying about trivial information is one of the main characteristics of pathological lying. There is no real benefit or motivation to lie, but they do it anyway. That is why it's pathological.
