I tend to like people who are opposite me, and are sometimes even opposite signs. I have Uranus in my 7th house along with some other planets but that was the most recent pattern I was pondering.

I like partners a little older than me but not by much, I also tend to attract really old men without lifting a finger. That can most likely be attributed to Saturn, and my Venus square Saturn, Sun square Saturn (maybe?)

I also like guys who are loving, but I have yet to attract one of those. :/ I do have Neptune in the 7th though and it squares my Sun, Mercury, and Venus so all too often I have a case of not knowing my worth, not seeing someone clearly, not being able to read others. I'm also usually drawn or attracted to people that need fixing in some way. Lately I've been trying to access the more positive side of Neptune which is dreamy, creative, loving, unselfish, etc.

Finally, I like guys who keep in touch with me via text every day but give me my physical space. I think this must have something to do with my ASC (Gemini) and DSC (Sagittarius) but have not quite figured out the relationship yet.

I think it's hard to relate bc I have a moon (conjunct my dc) sun and Pluto natal t square.

In general I like positive aspects to my moon (and by default aspects to my dc or the other way around)

Personally I'd like to steer clear of my fiery sun and mars signs. As far as sun and moon goes. I have a fiery/airy chart so I need the balance. I prefer either an earth sun or earth moon before sun mars positive aspects anyday

The fiery or too airy men I have dated have literally driven me up a wall and make me crazy. I like the steadiness of the water and earth suns and/or moons.

Besides my moon and Neptune being in earth.
My chart ruler, Pluto, is in Scorpio.
My NN is in Pisces trine my AC/Pluto

While the Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars do have an effect on what we consider appropriate and attractive behavior on the opposite sex (Our expectations regarding gender roles)… If you really want to get right down to what type of partner you’re most likely to attract, or be attracted to, it’s really worth having a look at the ‘three relationship’ houses in your chart. The 5th, 7th, and 8th houses. These houses tend to show in a much more literal way what type of partners we actually end up with.

You analyze these houses by the signs on the cusp, what the house cusp ruler is doing (by sign, house, and aspect), and what planets are in these houses. The result is a full picture of the type of person you need on the three different relationship levels. Our ideal mate is usually a combination of all of these mixed together.

From an astrological perspective, the 5th house is the ROMANCE/COURTSHIP period of the relationship, where we fall in love, and observe how special and unique the other person is.

As if they offer you what you ‘need’ in a partner. The 7th house is not always exciting like the 5th house, rather it represents who you LIKE, and want relate to as a partner and friend in your daily existence.

THE 8TH HOUSE…
And last but not least, the 8th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 8th… Show who attracts you in an intriguing, magnetic type of way… Here you want to figure the other person out, and merge with them in the most deep, intimate way possible. This house is where we share ourselves, and what we have to offer, with another physically, emotionally, and financially… to the point where our lives are inextricably intertwined.

I’ll use my own chart to give a breakdown on how to analyze these houses.

My 5th house is Aries ruled by Mars in Leo, and I just love fiery outgoing guys. Guys with courage, daring and a trusting sort of enthusiasm, are very hot to me. And, yes, Aries placements are very common in those to whom I’m most attracted.

My 7th house is Gemini, ruled by Mercury in Sagittarius, with Jupiter in the 7th house. I’m overwhelmingly attracted to Sag people in general, and I just love Sag guys… They have this likable boyish innocence even when they’re old, and their humor, intellect and idealism is fun to me. I’ve been attracted to those with Gemini influences too, but the Sag attraction is more powerful… probably because of both Jupiter in the 7th and Mercury in Sag ruling the 7th cusp.

My 8th house is Cancer ruled by the Moon also in Cancer in the 8th house. I’ve got ruler of the 8th in the 8th because of this. Cancer Moons and Scorpio placements in general are intriguing to me, like I wanna figure them out and get inside their hearts and minds…. When someone touches my Moon in synastry it can really turn me on, and I have to use my Saturn self-control to keep it in check.

My Gemini Dsc symbolically rules the 3rd house, and my 3rd house cusp is Aquarius, ruled by Uranus in Scorpio…. I have noticed that I ’m also really attracted to Aqua/Scorpio combos in people. One of my celeb crushes was Ethan Hawk, he’s a Scorpio with Moon in in Aqua…. And it’s interesting to note that he’s also got a tight Jupiter/Sun conjunction which resonates with my original 7th house.

Aries rising, Libra DSC… The 7th House has double importance.

Taurus rising, Scorpio DSC… Look to the 8th House.

Gemini rising, Sagittarius DSC… Look to the 9th House

Cancer rising, Capricorn DSC… Look to the 10th House

Leo rising, Aquarius DSC… Look to the 11th House

Virgo rising, Pisces DSC… Look to the 12th House

Another thing I’m really partial to, is people influencing my Vertex Axis in syanstry. These people fascinate you and linger in your mind. It’s an electric connection with scarily accurate synchronicity, and having intuitions and common interests with the other person in a way that is uncanny. Vertex connections can make things seem fated or meant to be.
