The only monkey I know irl is my mom and yeah, she's kinda like this. Very social but likes to spend a lot of time on her own reading books. How many monkeys love their books? My mom really loves hers but she is always really great at banter with others/putting them at ease in a social setting. She tries to find a balance between socializing and spending time reading books/watching her fave shows.

im a monkey! 1992 in fact.
i would consider myself a "sociable loner".
the way i would describe it is that i love to socialize, but i also need my alone time. i love being alone because the ability to create and think freely and just let my creative streak take over comes in strongest when im alone. also, i try to be really jovial in public to mask any sort of hidden sadness etc. when im alone i can channel that all out.

edit; and yes, i love to read and theorize lol. i read a lot actually.
